Thanks. The raven was a last minute addition. Someone else brought it as a decoration for the party, saw my costume, and gave it to me. It was great. Now all I need is a tea cup.

It applies to contests like that too sadly. Whereas something really creative gets turned away because of "insert bad excuse here." They just make them up. If the contest holder's kid or their grandkids are in it. Well, consider them an auto in. It's sad contests are being held so poorly now.

Totally this. TOTALLY THIS. I think next year, I'm just going to dress up as something easy going and not try to bother with any contests, because so many of them are rigged or skewed to benefit people that don't deserve it.

Really, I just don't get how and why something like this lost to a common Cinderella costume purchased off of Amazon. What a lame night, I'm definitely not going to that place ever again.

Oh dude that's so why. Sorry to say but you were screwed from the start there. In my experience guys always pick girls in scanty outfits. That also applies in the reverse though. All three of my judges were female and all three winners were guys.
