Shame on you people
And they can't say it's because they were too lazy or something
It used to be where I had trouble picking something because I couldn't think of anything good. Now it's the opposite problem. I have so many fun and great ideas and I can only go with one of them.
Usually finding some kind of Halloween party isn't too hard, either. Check online, most bars, restaurants, or places like that will have something if none of your own friends are hosting anything.
For me it's more of "what do I already have that I can make into a costume?" I've made some pretty awesome combos before. I've made an Artemis costume where my parents even helped me make a quill with arrows (not tipped though), a biker angel costume, a farmer, Poison ivy, and a few other things. I also have a flapper costume and my mad hatter costume on hand. My Dream costume though is sheik from legend of Zelda. I could totally pull of her Brawl appearance with my hair. Not sure where I could get the knives though but I'll look into that,
The time is upon us...

Well, both the dragon mascot costume and the butterfly wings were two separate orders that were shipped all the way from flippin' China. Had it not been for the internet, there's no way I would have found and acquired this stuff. Honestly, I would have preferred to buy American, but it's next to impossible.
When I first got it, the dragon mascot costume needed serious work and heavy adjustments. It was a mess and I instantly regretted getting it at first. I almost returned it because it was in pretty bad shape, but when I heard it was more than $100 to send it back, I decided to bring it back home and I managed to salvage it by making a lot of big tweaks, adjustments, and fixes to it. As for the butterfly wings, the guys I talked to on Alibaba were pretty good and did exactly what I wanted. The only problem there is the fan wires tend to get ripped out easily and I've had to use both wirecutters, screw drivers, and a soldering iron to fix these constant mishaps. It also meant a trip to Home Depot just to get the wire to battery clip ends. It's been pesky, but I'd hate to just give up on these things.
It was fun to try to see if I could make them work together, but it's one of those cases where just because I can doesn't mean I should. It's a lot of trouble and too often, trying to run the wires to the butterfly wings through the dragon costume to reach the battery pack I wear around my waist tugs the wires too hard and they get ripped out. It's possible to make them work together, but the chances of it resulting in a mishap are too high. That's exactly what happened Halloween night and I couldn't fix it at the bar without the screwdrivers I had back home.
Wearing the wings fully inflated is fun though, especially outside. They're huge and you really feel like you could just jump into the air and ride the wind with them. :)
Yeah but I'm a college student I don't have that kind of money to throw around.
