I woke up this morning to the fire alarm, got dressed in blah clothes, and stood outside in the ran for an hour. Got back inside, had ten minutes to get ready for the day and print off an assignment for a tutor session before going to my first tutor session of the day. While getting ready I get an email that the person who is in charge of making the flyer for an event can't send me the flyer by noon because their computer crashed. Go to the tutoring session late and leave early to make it to the other tutoring session. Then I have so little time between the end of the second session and class that instead of lunch I grab two cans of Pringles and a Coke Zero then sit outside my classroom working on stuff for community council. Find out I can't go to the meeting tonight because of an event I have to go to for clsss and that a class I want to get into is closed so I had to request the course. Had to contact the council and say I couldn't go then get the flyer and finally get to submit that after it's over a week later than I wanted it. Now I have to go to Public Speaking and learn about a speech I have less than a week to prepare for then sprint to the first event for a class I have tonight then possibly leave that event early to go to another one then go back to my dorm and study for finals.
Tomorrow ain't much better. Gotta go to class at nine then head back to my dorm to study for finals. Then go to tutoring at 12:20, then grab some lunch, then go to class at 2:30 to run to class at 4 then sprint to an extra credit even that I am guaranteed to be late for, then run back to my dorm, grab something for an event at 6:30. Go to said event until 8ish. Then go from 8-11 in a study session for my final.
Oh and I just found out that I don't have 6 days to prepare for a speech. I have until Thursday. I present my speech Thursday. So I have to do that sometime within the next few days. This means I have to write an outline, practice, and deliver a 2-3 minute speech without knowing what critiques she wanted to give me from the last speech because she hasn't graded them yet!
Yeah, that doesn't sound very good either... ._.
The 2-3 minute speech probably isn't as bad as you think. I remember having to give one that lasted 45 minutes all by myself in front of the whole class and I aced that thing and even had some fun with it. Minutes go by quickly, so when it comes to a 2-3 duration like that, as long as you have even just a bit of knowledge on the subject and practice at least once, you should be fine. Keep it simple, keep it clean, and you'll do great.
Hey feedback is always good. My brother in his nursing classes apparently is getting lucky. One of his hardest classes is getting made easier. Apparently they had to many complaints for the instructor. So much they had one of the superintendents come in and tell them the big essay they had due the next day was postponed and that the class was now a pass or fail. No more grades. So it's all determined by you alone. If you show the initiative or not. Things like that can determine if you pass or fail. Enough feedback and action will be taken. It can possibly save you. My review helped them find an incompetent instructor once too. I remember one from my first college was found having psychological issues. Ironically it was the Psychology instructor at that.
The time is upon us...
