I used to not to but then college rolled around and I'm required to.

Your college required it? Geez, that's stupid.

If I had to do that, I would definitely only do the bare minimum with it. So many companies dive into your Facebook just to look for dirt.

No no you misunderstand. The college itself doesn't require it but if you want to be in any clubs it's a must have because that's the only way like 90% of them communicate.

Oh, that makes more sense. Trust me, my college had required me to do a bunch of silly and stupid things so I wouldn't have been too surprised if that was true.

Mostly undergrad stuff. Volunteer work, attending one of the campus theater shows, and junk like that.

Yeah, me neither. I actually never got the appeal of Facebook, tbh. Not even when it was at its popularity peak. I don't know what it is about that website that I don't like, but it's probably because it feels too public; other places like DeviantArt, Reddit and Tumblr at least let you have some degree of anonymity but in Facebook it's like "okay now write down your exact location and zip code and where you live in or else you can't make an account", and that stuff just feels unsafe.
