Yeah I imagine a lot of families wouldn't particularly be able to afford it. Do you have many jobs around? I'm guessing not; the economy is so crap right now. x__x

Oh I'm sure there are. After all students work at most of the on-campus and surrounding stores, but since I'm not actively searching for work, I wouldn't know.

The food industry is so terrible this day in age. Watch the documentary Food Inc. and you'll see what I mean. It's horrible what they do to the animals. Farming should have never become industrialized.

It is awful. When you can go to a restraunt and get something cheaper than a salad or something. It's unhealthy and probably bad for you.

Agreed. They even ran studies and happier animals tend to produce more. That's a double incentive right there.

I actually had to read a book called "The Good Food Revolution" last summer for college. I never realized the sheer amount of people that are forced to eat poorly! It is kind of ridiculous how you can get a McDonalds cheeseburger for under $2, but getting some fresh picked goods is more expensive.

Yeah it's why a lot of vegans, vegetarians, and religious non-meat eaters become anemic or worse in college. There's just not enough stuff to eat that's healthy.

AH YES. That's when my high school replaced Sloppy Joe Tuesday with Mystery Meat Mondays because it was healthier. Also most of the clubs went bankrupt because we couldn't sell food, and the traditional chicken biscuits on Friday was disrupted too, causing student council to lose a lot of funding too.
