That two hours of studying for every hour of class rule is bogus. Going by one hour of studying for every hour of class is probably a bit more fitting, but that also depends on the class and what you're doing.
For example, in my Finance MBA class, YES, I definitely needed to put in more hours because that stuff can get tricky and I needed to religiously stay on top of it to do well. For marketing, not so much, that doesn't deal so heavily with numbers and formulas. My electives were also a breeze for the most part and I was able to ace those without ripping hair out.

Getting old and having to be responsible sucks. :< I miss when I used to get home from school and spend hours reading other people's stories and leaving long reviews! I never finished Juno. xD I still have a Word doc with corrections/notes that were probably for the chapter I was up to. x: I used to read it on my phone on the way home from uni on the train. xD It was a good time to read it. It's never really been active since I joined, which is a shame since I love to write and read. I've been trying to increase activity since I became a mod but I haven't been very successful at it. I am planning for an event in the future that might increase activity but it's still in the works due to college having slowed my writing and planning processes for everything WAY down.

For me, it's a matter of not having much time to either write or read stories. These days, I tend to do a lot more RPing, which feels more enjoyable because there's that interactive element and the feeling of not knowing what's going to happen next.
Plus, if I think of a cool storyline, I'm more out to turn it into an RP so people can make characters and get in on it too. If I make it a fan fiction, well, everyone else is just a spectator.
