Mmm, nice! Glad you didn't get a ticket, because that would have been lame. Parking illegally is definitely something I don't try to do, because my luck sure isn't solid enough to hope to dodge out of the consequences of what happens when you do. XP

I didn't really have a choice if I wanted to get to church on time. The church's parking lot was full; the church across the street's parking lot was full; the parking garage for the church was full; the street spots around my church, the one across the street, the one down the street, and the one two blocks down the hill were all full; all the spots on main street were taken; all the free spots offered by shops were taken. Pretty much there wasn't any legal parking within about... ten blocks of the church. So I parked in a reserved spot, put a sign in the window that said "Holy Day of Obligation, can't find any parking, please don't ticket" and left. Maybe parking services took mercy? Which is weird because the guys on campus are ruthless.

I love how parking services will still issue more parking passes than available parking spots on campus. They probably laugh about it.

Yep. And if students park in metered spots that doubles the fine. Once my parents got a ticket because they parked in a spot so that I could unpack some stuff from the trunk to take to my dorm room and because we didn't pay the meter despite not even being there five minutes we got a ticket. They're snakes. Absolute snakes. I've even seen them purposely block people into certain spots until their meter ran out so they could give them a ticket.

That's just how they make their quota sometimes. It's an awfully trashy thing to do, yet it happens everywhere. It's sad they do such things and cause more stress than help.

All businesses are getting like that sadly. It's especially noticeable with law enforcement though. Suddenly a few days in the month you'll see a cop around almost every corner. Just waiting for someone to even go 5 over and catch them for it. Quotas suck and make everyone miserable.

Yeah but there's not much they can do about there. I've spoken with police officers in my area before and usually they only pull people going over 15, except for the last week of the year. They hate it as much as we do, but they don't have a choice.

Yeah there's nothing anyone can do. It won't change how most people drive either. It's just....enforced really in the end
