This. xD Except when I work I can't stay up past 10pm anymore cause DEAD TIRED. But the last few nights (since I've been off work) I've been able to stay up until at least midnight again! Yay!

Luckyyyyyy. Retail sucks enough as it is, but they are relying on me and others too much this year. Yesterday I as expected to handle a big project all while being stuck up front on a register =/

My step sister is working Christmas Eve on retail, and she says already it's so busy. xD I'd hate to be working retail at this time of year. Don't envy you! *hugs*

I've heard of some really rough retail stories about customers just being outright jerks. Things like dropping things on the floor on purpose and telling workers that's helping them have job security. Plus I'm sure there's plenty of shoplifting incidents going on all the time...

I heard of one on Facebook recently where a shoplifter and an employee somehwhere around town here got into a huge fight. The employee got a few cracked ribs, collapsed lung, and concussion. I didn't hear if the guy was ever caught, but I sure hope so. It's never fun having to spend the Holidays in the hospital :(

Yeah, that sucks. That's not something that someone who was just trying to do their job and do the right thing deserves.

I think the worst I've had was just being really sick with a fever one Christmas. It was a long time ago (I think I was six or seven years old), but I remember not even wanting to open presents Christmas morning because of it. I could barely walk, everything felt hot and dizzy, and I felt like a zombie.

Still, I appreciate all the doctors, nurses, EMTs, and medical staff that work the holidays just in case the worst happens. It's got to be hard to be away from their friends and families, but they're doing a good thing.
