Oh, I'm sure it's a good story and I'm curious as to how you handled the prompt and parameters. It's funny how people can get the same prompts but the stories turn out VERY differently. I remember seeing this as the WAR CW judge and it was pretty cool.

And I got Gardevoir looking pretty decent! Or at least the initial sketch anyway. Just need to do Medicham. Also, TIL all three members of Team Charm have mega evolutions. I didn't realize that until just now! XD

Yeah, the only parameter that really doesn't show up that much is the butterfly? It kinda gets the short end of the stick when it comes to mentions but it does have a significiant role nonetheless.

Ah, for me I definitely have the butterfly covered, it's the competition element I only lightly touched base on. I had a heck of a time trying to come up with something and I kind of shoehorned it in at the last moment. It kind of fits but it wasn't really a full-fledged implementation. But magic, fantasy creatures (I kind of made up everything to be original), and butterflies I definitely got covered. But in the meantime, I kind of wonder what we'll get for weeks 3-4.

Also, in the RP, don't be afraid to declare Black Lotus NPC deaths. I won't chew you out for whacking a few of them dead since they're like grunts. Even Onyx Circle characters are fair game, but they're more like mini-bosses rather than grunts. And there are a lot of Onyx Circle characters (and some I haven't even used yet), so even if Athena kills Phoebe, there's still plenty more!

Trust me, when it comes to characters, I know some people would be traumatized if their character died, but I'm very much the opposite. I'm totally okay with loads of them dying. XD I just make more to replace them!

It really sorta worked out because when I made up the species that the story centers around, I made it like part of their natural species activities to compete with other for mating rights so then weaving in time travel for the plot was really smooth. I'm working the butterfly in a little bit more prominently right now. The main problem the gang faces right now is that they don't have a map of Japan so they have no idea how to get to kyoto and since they have no rice (and only Antioch and Akio actually know what rice is) they can't buy a map so they're in this dilemma of how do they get to kyoto. I'll probably stop again once they get a map.

*thumbs up* Okay cool I wasn't really sure if I was allowed to kill anyone so I just sorta kept it vague? I might go back and edit in one kill if that's not too much of a problem for you just because my intention had been to kill that character but since I wasn't sure if I could I wanted to sorta leave it up in the air.

I'm just not a good speedreader. If I skim and I try reading the paragraph slower again, I realize just how much I missed. Pretty much 75% of the stuff goes over my head if I blast through it.

And I've killed off plenty of RP characters. PLENTY. What do I do? I just make others. Easy cheesy! I don't really get emotionally attached to my characters. Allowing characters to die makes for such good and valuable plot points. If Athena kills Phoebe, she'll be MARKED by Black Lotus for sure! And then imagine all the fun Noble will have then! But yeah, it does make things interesting. It happens all the time in video games and movies so... why not RPs?

Yeah I plan to read your story when I get the chance, I just really want to finish mine first so I don't accidentally steal anything.

Okay I'll probably go back and edit in the kill then. Phoebe is the only Onyx Circle member in that group right? (Just gotta make sure) And Athena can and will go after Queen Taiya if that's the path she's required to take to get her son back. Though I'm more excited in waiting to see if anyone will pick up on a secret Athena's been keeping that I've dropped a hint for every single post up until now.

So, define kill off a character, because it really depends on how you define that. I axed a few NPCs in the past but I'm not sure those really count because they're not like official RP characters, they're NPCs. Does that make sense? Perceval kinda falls into a gray area but I'd even argue if I had axed him it wouldn't have really counted as my killing off someone because he wasn't really developed all that much. Even worse some of the ones that died (like Madeline in PXRASE) were technically already dead. Where the line gets really tricky is in the other "A Single Element" RPs. Across the various iterations of the RP, I've created a ton of characters and wrote a variety of stories with them. Thing is, most of them were created already slated to die. I just sorta wrote their stories up until that point. So would that count? I'm not sure.

Weirdly enough, I'm usually not really one for killing off characters, but I've killed like eight NPCs in this RP so far... A nameless assassin, three Thundercrash Gang guys, three Shadow Mask guys, and Kirrun.
Although, admittedly, I hadn't given Kirrun a whole lot of development...

Xavier is actually a character I've used often and have developed a lot. That doesn't stop me from blinding him though.

Honestly most RPs I've been in don't really have high bodycounts...

Also Neo, I've actually already read through your story... I think I'll refrain from commenting on it until I distribute grades. I did enjoy it though. :3

While proofreading part of my story to make logistical edits and what not, I realized I unconsciously made an avatar the last Airbender reference and it made me laugh so hard.
