I was looking forward to the creative writing section, and I was bummed out that I didn't have time to enter it the first weeks, but with the new promt I'm just considering giving it a miss altogether. Story from the point of view of the villain? No my strongest point. I also dislike writing dreams, so there's that. And I'm a notoriously slow writer, so I might not even get it finished in time anyway...

I decided to reread Athena's posts. Found all the references to what might've been Athena's condition that I could.

The letter did not specify which parent was to go, and Brunswick was pretty adamant about his going to fight due to the risks and highly likely possibility of the amount of strain and stress it would put on Athena’s body. But somehow, Athena had managed to convince Brunswick to let her go.

Most would resort to alcohol by now but, as much as it may help, Athena was not supposed to be drinking it anyway. She was still a bit frustrated that she had slipped up the night before anyway.

As the flames exploded in the air, Athena winced, smaller flames grazing her feathers. Oh well, it was no big deal. So long as she did not take a wound to the abdomen, Athena was fine, and she plenty of protection there to ensure that. Too bad so sad for those out to kill her today, but Athena was not risking a "two for the price of one" kill.

...She's pregnant, isn't she.
