Well, I had work today and my summer hours are over, but it was all good.

Coming back to work after a vacation is rough, especially when you have to play catch-up and resolve all the stuff that floated around while you were away. Thankfully, it wasn't even nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Just had another power flicker and the winds are howling like houndooms.

Weeeeeell maybe I shouldn't have called in. It didn't get bad until after I would've got off. Even then it took hours for the rain to get worse and the wind to pick up. We JUST lost power about 30 mins ago. No telling when it'll be back. The hot water heater cap flew off the roof of our house. So I may be Mia for awhile

I've had a few power flickers and some nasty wind but nothing too bad. In all actuality, I think the worst it's been is when I was outside taking pictures and nearly got whacked with a tree branch.

Still better than what we dealt with for Sandy. There we lost power for a few days and a whole bunch of trees came down. Thanks nothing fell on our house, but other people weren't as fortunate...

My aunt, who lives in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, is still without power. Last I heard things were still okay otherwise, but yeah, being unable to charge phones means few and very brief calls.
