What's Your Favorite Holiday?

I love Christmas and I can easily say it's my favorite holiday, but Halloween comes in close second.

It's funny, with Christmas, I get a kick more out of giving people stuff than getting stuff in return. I LOVE seeing people's surprised reactions. It's fun to get them cool and amazing stuff they didn't even know existed and seeing their reactions of WHOA when they unwrap it. Generally, I use people's wish lists as references, but I don't get the exact things off of it. That way, they're more pleasantly surprised and you get more of a "whoa, this is so cool" as opposed to "oh, thanks for getting this for me" kind of thing.

Halloween is awesome for the fact that you can essentially dress up as ANY CRAZY THING you can think up as and generally it's a day where that's totally socially acceptable and even encouraged (well gee, wouldn't it be nice if every day could be like that?). And I go all out with costumes as plenty of people know. Some people will say it's nerdy, but you know, when nerdy stuff is the new norm, it's not nerdy anymore. It's the ones that AREN'T watching Star Wars, playing Skyrim, and getting the next game console that are now the odd people out.

I do love a great 4th of July barbeque, though!

My family kind of ruined it for me. I love getting free stuff as much as the next person and the feeling of giving is great but... well see the explanation above.

I wish I could do that! I've always wanted to visit Scarowinds because I live close enough if I had a car i could probably do it. One day.

Scarowinds is a MUST, Noble. I love getting to go there when we can durning Halloween. Even if I don't really ride anything, it's just so fun! The creepy factor is definitely there. I swear one time my brother could've broke his back he leaned so far back as one of them snuck up on him and got right in his face xD. We didn't go this year because right around that time there were some hazards and protests. Too bad. I do like Halloween for that though.

Christmas and the days leading to it have to be my overall favourite. Every year without fail I'm taken back to the whimsical days of old, and to top it all off there's the giving and getting of presents, which is always a fun experience. Even though we don't get much snow here all of the lights and decorations manage to give me that festive feeling that just brings back that childhood magic. And the music never gets old. :D

I've heard of Carrowinds and I'd like to check it out sometime. I've already been to Busch Gardens so I already know what that place is like.

Haven't been to Great Adventure Fright Fest though. I heard from a friend that it isn't all that great, but then again, he kind of has weird standards. :P
