I couldn't be less satisfied with the state of America's political system these days. Trump is an utterly racist, sexist, vile narcissist who seeks only to divide and profit. Trump's nominations are frankly terrifying - the recent confirmations of Betsy DeVos and Jeff Sessions is a sad blow to America's children and people of color. And Mike Pence as Vice President only makes things 1,000x more scary. I feel as if things can only get worse. I fear for women, people of color, Muslims, the LGBT+ community, the poor, and countless other minorities, as well as science, education, and the judicial system...This administration is extremely unqualified. I mean, not only does Trump have no political experience, but neither do many of his nominations. Oh, and not to mention that the administration calls any news portraying the administration in a negative light is "fake news." Oh, and how Kellyanne Conway, Counselor to the President, literally fabricated a massacre on live television.

As an educator Betsy DeVos's confirmation feels like the biggest blow to education in the last 100 years.
