I can't watch any of the new movies because of the horrible, terrible voice actors. Nope. Just can't. If they got Veronica Taylor back, I'd watch it in a heartbeat. But nobody has come close to her standard. x__x

I was already getting bored of the anime, but the voice actor change was the last deathblow. I honestly think them redoing the first episode with the different voice actors is just going to be in bad taste. It's just not going to feel the way it's supposed to and a lot of the older fans will definitely feel disconnected from it.

I know that the reason it never got one was the original plan was to have Ash win the indigo league and then catch Ho-oh. But then they realized how popular Pokémon was and had him lose instead.

I do not really care who will be used for the voice acting when they dub this movie. I am a fan of the new actors and I have heard them so much that they are normal to me. Just the other day a track from the 2BA Master soundtrack came on and Jessie's voice sounded so weird. Meanwhile, James was...Oh man. I remember that I never liked James's voice.

To hit the full nostalgia feel on the English side, they should use the original voice actors but I can see why they wouldn't. Either way I am going to watch this movie. Hopefully in Japanese first.

Exactly. I have rewatched some Hoenn episodes as an older person and yeah...I think they weren't as good as earlier episodes but I still have a fondness for many of them. And yep...literally one day the first episode of Battle Frontier showed and I heard their voices and was extremely surprised and then outraged. XD I turned off the TV because I refused to listen to these imposters. I was, like...12. XD And yep, I'll feel disconnected from it if I watch it. Also I watched some B/W episodes and X/Y and they were terrible. They failed to be even half as good as the episodes I watched growing up. xD

I just spat the dummy and couldn't handle it. xD The worst thing is that the new ones try to be like the old ones, which...just doesn't work. I don't like the way Jessie's new voice actor is because she's just not nearly as good as Racheal Lillis. And I always adored James' voice. XD Meowth's is understandable since his voice actor died quite a while ago now, but there are still plenty of people out there who can do a much better Moewth impression than the person they have now. I dunno. Changing actors has never sat right with me. xD

I CAN watch it in Japanese but I feel a little disconnected since I watched it for so many years in English before ever watching it in Japanese. Other animes that I start in Japanese are obviously fine, but yeah, not ones I switch over to. Same as if I started in Japanese and switched to English. xD

What did you think of the Victini movie? I absolutely hated it. xD It was so bad. But you didn't mention it in this article so I'm curious.

That's not true. Pikachu's design was updated with the times as the drawing/animation got better, but they totally changed the logo. That's like giving Pikachu a different shaped tail from a lightning bolt. xD

I would admit that the voices were a little rough at first when the change just happen. Part of that was them trying to sound like sound-a-likes while the other part was the actors not finding their voice. Though eventually they dropped trying to sound like the old voices and just found their voice for the character. It also help that they started to adopt the script better compare to 4Kids. James especially sounded better compare to what his old actor was saying.

I have never watched the anime in Japanese. First of all, there is no way to watch it without supporting unofficial sources. Second, mostly what you said.

I have never watched any of the Gen5 movies. That is because I took a break during that generation from watching the anime. I felt like the anime was maybe it's worst with how the writers were writing Ash and the Rocket Trio.

The reason why I didn't mention any of the Gen5 movies was because I haven't seen the Gen5 movies. So I couldn't rightfully compare the final versions of the movies to the early production trailers that came out in February/March. It would be unfair for me to mention them in the article when I haven't even watched them. The trailers looks nice and I can see some of the early production traits that they do with the movies but I can't tell you if those things made it into the final cut.

My thoughts on the Victini movies based on what little I have seen and heard from other sources are not good. Both versions of the Vicitini sound horrible. They were just the lowest form of cash grab by using a cheap gimmick that overall looked bad. The story sounded simple and could have been done better if they hadn't wasted time making two movies that were exactly the same except for a few Pokemon.

If I had seen the movie then I may have mention it in the article but overall I think the Zoroark movie was a better use.
