Gee I feel crap knowing summer is over and I haven't used my pool. I only like going in it with a few friends and when my parents have been away, the weather has been crap.
XD That's me!
Well, like, how many hot days did we have? =/ Like none. I should have gone to the beach more times, but this was the only time throughout the whole of summer that I managed to go. xD
While you fun Aussie people are enjoying your summer, us 'Mericans have been having fun with winter. Last week, we had full-on butt-kicking cold and now it's actually a little more milder.
We had one really insane snowfall this year, but all the others have been pretty light.
It's too bad it doesn't snow very often here. Winter is almost over here and Summer for anyone in the southern hemisphere. In the south here in the US (at least where I'm at) we barely ever get snow. The lowest it has hit here has been around 21 degrees F. Chance of snow came, but it was only some sleet.
When I was younger I used to think I wanted to move up to NYC. It'd have many perks: Cold weather, snow, lots of places to shop (Nintendo world/Pokemon Center included), and way more. After actually going there though I found how crazy it can be (I would seriously WALK everywhere up there. It's way to crazy to drive for me). The shops are good, but most restraunts have a minimum of an hour long wait any day (unless it was just the timing of the year). Oh well..,at least I get to see Rockafeller Center, NW/PC, Statue of Liberty (from afar....again was bad timing. It was under repairs when I went), and the Thanksgiving Day Parade (Yup, that Pikachu balloon back in 2011). Was all still pretty fun up there so nothing against. Just not my style of living is all I guess lol.

NYC is great to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. There's a pesky little thing called rent that makes it a problem. When I was younger, I thought living in Hawaii would be cool. What a coincidence, it has the same problem!
Also, the Nintendo World store was disappointing the last time I went. I liked it when it was the Pokemon Center because it had all kinds of awesome and unique stuff that made the trip worth it. I'd burn through $100 and never felt a ping of shame about it. But the last two times I went to the Nintendo World store, I came out empty-handed because there was so little for sale (most of the floor is now just reserved for various game stations) and most of it was stuff I knew I could just buy online (t-shirts and video games). The really unique merchandise that you can't get anywhere else is almost all gone... :\
Also, if you wear a t-shirt size that's XL or above, don't plan on being able to find anything in your size. Everything is L and below. Besides, if you want really great Pokemon (or just about any fandom) t-shirts, go with teepublic.com. They custom-make them there, there are tons of awesome designs from independent artists to pick from, and they often have sales where everything is $14 or below. I've gotten six t-shirts from there already and I'm always seeing more than I want, but I'm already overloaded. XD
Yeah I found that out when I grew up xD. How life's not that easy and the dream was nothing more than a child's dream then. When I actually went there it wasn't exactly what I thought, but it was still amazing. I've actually never been to Hawaii, but I'd like to go. Again, that place would be too hot for me. Hate it here as is, but just can't escape it lol.
Honest opinion yeah...the NintendobWorod store was disappointing. I barely saw any good Pokemon stuff. Though BW stuff was all I could find it being the newest gen at the time and all. So Pikachu, Tepig, Snivy, Oshawott, Emolga, etc stuff. Nothing I saw worth buying which....was disappointing. I still remember those awesome photos in Nintendo Power showing the "Pokemon Center" there. Maaaaaaan I wish I was able to be there for that instead. Looked so much better =/. Oh well I guess that just means I'll be seeing a few of them while I'm in Japan (probably sometime over the Summer). I'll probably go broke there......or lose my mind. Either or xD

I went to the beach all of once, so I'm kinda depressed on the summer front, too. xD
And hey, Neo, at least you get snow in winter! We just freeze our butts off for no good reason. 3:
I went to NYC. I used to think living there might be kinda cool. Until I went. xD The only thing I see NYC good for is shopping and sight-seeing. I don't think I'd ever live there. And I walked everywhere, too! In a city like that, with a good enough subway system, why would you even NEED to drive?
I wish we had subways in Aus. .-.
They're good for getting around, yeah. NYC has a pretty good system going with the whole Metrocard and stuff. Also, most of the trains are relatively clean and comfortable given how many people use them on a daily basis. Plus, in winter, they're actually nice and warm and some of them have places to eat, get a haircut, buy everyday essentials and stuff like that.
But yeah, around NYC, you're actually better off without a car. Until the day comes when cars can fold up into a briefcase and you no longer need to find parking spots, use a bus or subway. Taxis can be pricey though.
