I actually quit playing YGO right around the time all the weird new rules and card types came out. Like pendulum summoning and such...ugh, still confusing. Anyway same goes with Pokemon TCG and I never tried playing other TCG...oh wait no Duel Masters. Now that was fun, but each one we super short lived. Same with the Zatch Bell TCG. It was alright, but short lived. Oh well, some got the good long last game types, others don't.

I don't even know what's going on with Yu-Gi-Oh! anymore. Too much stuff.

YGO was pretty short-lived for me, also. I pretty much got my fill of it from the GBA YGO The Eternal Duelist Soul game and didn't really do much with it after that. I got a few cards and my brother and I played a few rounds, but that was it. It just seemed like another money sink.

YGO was all the rage when I was in primary school (when I was around 10 years old) but I've barely heard anything about it since. People would just collect the cards and that's it - no one knew how to actually play it. There was a comeback in high school but it was really short lived and only lasted about a month, but that was because ~90s nostalgia~ became the in-thing. Everyone was playing Pokemon R/B/Y and watching things like Rugrats. I found it hilarious because no one there was actually old enough to remember the 90s, they were all born '96/'97 xD

The last and my favorite generation of YGO was the GX version of the cards (the original anime will still remain the best for me). Even then the cards were hard to come by and I never got what I needed at the time. Now it's too late because of all the stupid new rules making it not fun at all.

I stopped playing Yu-Gi-Oh when synchro summoning started getting common. Less people in my school were interested at the time.

I've watched all of the first Yu-Gi-Oh. Never watched GX, 5D's, etc.

Also, anyone who hasn't seen Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series: PLEASE do so.

I personally think the best arc was the next season. The battle city tournament was far better IMO. Though YuGiOh the Abridged series will always be the best xD
