THEY WON'T GIVE HER AN MRI?

God, American health care can suck sometimes but their willingness to overexamine is a blessing sometimes.

Well I can sorta understand with all the things she's been through. She did have an MRI, but that was before all these new issues came up after her scope recently. The gastro that did the procedure with the scope told her "if she experiences any continued pain after so long. Go to Emergency. They pretty much looked at her like she was crazy >n>

I can understand why they're hesitant the do an MRI on women, but if your life or health is in the balance it's more than worth going in there for itand using the safety equipment to prevent the radiation as bad over the stomach.

The fact that America overexamines is my problem with it. When I had my panic attack the police came and FORCED me to take an ambulance to the hospital, as well as pay a crazy amount of money that my healthcare barely covered. Now I'm even more stressed of having another panic attack, so you can see how "helpful" the police were being there.

I don’t know about New Jersey but in South Carolina it’s state law that they have to call an ambulance. I know this is true in Pennsylvania as well. You can’t blame the police for that, it’s protocol. If something had happened to you, you could very easily sue them for NOT calling an ambulance. With so many Americans condemning the police lately on not doing their jobs, I’m not surprised they did that. You need to blame the people that sued for this kind of thing in the past that resulted in new protocols and laws being passed to prevent it from happening again. More than likely, the police had no choice in the matter, so cut them some slack.

Okay MRIs don’t cause breast cancer if that’s what you’re thinking. And okay if they’ve already given her one it makes sense then.

Oh no, not that. The ovaries. It's more damaging to those as it's known to cause birth defects in the future. Not so much breast cancer. See though that's the thing. A lot can change in months time between scans. Especially after they had the scope and it ended up causing more issues.

Ah yeah there is that. And yeah I'm not saying that this is a good reason to not give an MRI, it just explains why they won't.

It's not uncommon for people to call in an Uber for a ride to the hospital. I've heard of it happening many times and it's sad that's the kind of world we live in. >.<

I have to admit, it's kind of hard to wrap my head around everything going on in the US right now. I feel some of the problem comes from my lack of experience of different living environments. I mean, I grew up in a small city with little crime, a popular mayor, a large minority population, and is open to everyone. I mean, to put things in perspective the biggest problem my community had was its school system Mainly the superintendent which is amazing at screwing itself up.

As someone who loves to read the news though, I find it all rather fascinating.

Yeah it is cheaper than an ambulance. As is driving yourself to the hospital in some cases. Just certain authorities like police officers are required to call one due to protocol and liability, which is no fault of their own.

I mean in some cases I can understand why they force you to take an ambulance. Back in 2012 when I had that first lung collapse. When they had been running tests on me for nearly 2 hours and finally figured out what it was. She came back in like "he needs to get to a hospital NOW. We already called an ambulance." My Dad kept asking (cause he was the one there with me) if he could just drive. She just shoke her head saying I needed an ambulance cause the lung was already pretty much fully collapsed and it could start to make the other collapse at that point. So if on the way there it started collapsing to then I wouldn't be able to breathe. So they had to roll me out of there and everything and put me in an ambulance. Pushed me way ahead in the ER thought right to next in line for immediate surgery. Which is good in that case because it's life threatening.

Yeah I know that's why, but it's sad. I've had to have multiple. I've seen things on tv lately where people have multiple right after another. One so much so where a kid went to the hospital with trouble and constant pains. The scanned the neck and nothing, but the doctor thought he noticed something and was like "scan again, but scan further up." Come to find out he was right as saw what he needed to. A very rare type of cancer. See though, it's the little efforts that can save lives. Sure you may not be able to physically see it, but that's what all the technology we have today is for. To help improve our healthcare and lifespans. Without some of these machines now we wouldn't be able to catch things in time or notice certain things that save countless lives. All it takes is one person with that authority to stand up and make a change.

    The time is upon us...
