I can't believe the stories I hear from people who work in retail. It's baffling how mindless some customers can be.

Ugh, it was like that for me at work today too. I got really lucky cause one of my leads came up to me as my relief was standing by me with a til ready to go like "can you do returns?" He looked by me and was like "oh you're about to switch out?" So yeah I got super lucky. Lines were pretty insane today I just can't believe it's like this AFTER Christmas. It's pretty crazy. Luckily I get 4 days off after 3 more days of work. So I'll be relaxing while I can.

Try and keep it paced and don't try rushing like I do. No matter how fast I keep it moving it stays just as busy. It'll only wear you down faster. Only a few more days and it should slow down for us retail workers. Give or take another week or two.

This year, I didn't get anything that was on my list, so I'm kind of in that self-Santa mode of buying some of the things I would have liked to get. I'm guessing I might not be the only one who does this.

I walked into work when it's usually not very busy and thought holy crap it's busy for this time of day. Then I saw a bunch of kids and remembered oh yeah everyone is still on Christmas break. Oh joy...lol.

Yeah, I imagine a lot of people who got gift cards want to put them to use, too. Thankfully I don't get those too often, because sometimes they can be really tough to use if nothing the store has interests you or the value of what's on the card doesn't make it worth while (such as a $10 gift card to an expensive jewelry store :P).

And yeah, it'll probably be like this until January 2nd.

Yup that's about right. Though after the first of the year it's like business in retail tanks. Like so much so even full-timers lose a lot of hours. One of my bosses already informed me of that. That I should be taking as many hours as I can get. Cause I was getting more hours than usual. She warned me I'll lose a lot of hours. How it is right now? Hah, I wanna run away fast as I can after it hits my time to get out of there.

I usually don't do placement matches because I'm sure people are extra salty and extra toxic during those. I'd rather not deal with that junk.

I'd think so too, but actually the three I did were fine! No one really talked during the first and second one, and in the third one everyone was talking via voice chat pretty nicely, giving me help, and one dude/dudette even said I did a nice ult as Pharah. XD And that was the team that won. :P

I still need to try Competitive Matches too. Maybe we should get a group together and try placing when the new season starts
