Mmm, yeah, we need a PMD game where you can have the main character be ANYTHING. Not just starters and such.

But I'd love for it to be a different kind of adventure in a Pokémon world. As instead of a former human with amnesia, your main character, who has always been a Pokémon, stumbles across some relic or key of major importance and now a whole bunch of other nasty Pokémon want their head on a plate, want the relic or the power for themselves, and such. You have to fight them off, get answers to the mystery, and that usual plot of twists, turns, riddles, and all that fun stuff. A premise like that makes it so any Pokémon, be it a Wigglytuff, Emolga, a starter, a legendary, or whoever could get sucked into that kind of dilemma. What Pokémon become your enemies and which ones become your allies could be randomized also so a second playthrough would feel different. Randomize the puzzles, have tough choices and different dialogue options put a much bigger impact on the plot of the game, and finish it all off with multiple endings.

I would hold a funeral for all my free time if they made a game like that and did it well.

That would require soooo much coding and so many assets though. It's not impossible but that would take a lot of time and manpower to develop.

Eh, one can dream, but it definitely would be fun.

But yeah, games already have a credits roll miles long. It's nuts how much needs to go into games to make them what they are. And it's a shame how many get ruined by greedy publisher. Yes, I'm looking at you, EA and Activision.

Even the recent Kingdom Hearts game I've heard rumors was somewhat stiffled because of Disney

Well it was supposed to be super dark. Much more so compared to others. I can’t believe that Nomura even said it’s o evof the darker game stories he’s had to work on.
