Especially with more people. The more people you have playing the more threats will appear. Unless you know the game in and out both you WILL take hits, no doubt. Yeah I miss D&B's. Used to go there far more often. Now, not much so.

Love Dave and Buster's. Haven't been in a few years though. I mostly went to it with friends back in late High School/early College before I moved north for College. I remember I was always upset there were no fighting games, though. I woulda killed for some Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

I think Smash Bros is the only fighting game I can really get into. The big thing that makes it great is the smash moves are relatively easy to perform. I remember how complicated some of the moves in Mortal Kombat were, and that just launching a fireball or roundhouse kick required long and specific button combinations that sometimes felt like you were trying to enter a cheat code. Plus you had to have that memorized in advanced. At least with Smash Bros, even if you've never played the character before, you know a Up+A smash is usually going to direct some kind of attack above you, a Forward+A smash is going to direct an attack in front of you, and so on. And it's nice that the same formula usually applies to every character with only a few exceptions. It's more of a matter of learning what the attacks and moves do rather than memorizing and learning how to trigger them in the first place. That knocks a BIG step off the learning curve.

Plus it's one of those games that you can make as serious or as zany as you want it to be. The massive amount of customization is wonderful. :3

Man I do miss Marvel vs Capcom 2. Those were some good days in the arcades.

There are a few fighting games I can deal with. Street Fighter is fun, but online players can get super competitive. That's why I'll stick with Super Smash Bros. Community is bearable. Other than the toxic players.

Oh yeah, fighting games are really tough. Love me some Smash Bros, though. I nearly cried when Ultimate revealed the Hero from Dragon Quest - it was always a big series I played growing up (well, 5 and 9 at least).

I do agree that the FGC can be pretty toxic at times - I feel like any game that's hyper competitive has that element (LoL, fighting games, heck even Overwatch). I guess it comes down to what part of the community you pay attention to? I usually just ignore most gaming communities altogether due to toxicity.

Yeah, that game was pretty cool. A shame it pooped out. XD

I've seen quite a lot of toxic people in Overwatch, but I kind of have some fun with them. I like to say "Yesssss, let the hate flow through you!" whenever one of them is acting all salty or blaming others for the team's loss. There's no reason to take that game overly seriously.

If it really gets bad or they start throwing racist words around, I just report and keep quiet. Blizzard actually sends you a thank you message if they take action against someone that you reported, so they do check them out.

I haven't played Overwatch in a couple years - I think when Ana came out?

I remember the community was super chill in the first few months of Overwatch's release. I guess the more competitive and "mainstream" it got, the more people joined, including toxic folks? I remember my older sister played a lot of it with her husband, but she herself said it could be pretty sexist when she used the voice option. Unfortunately, that's seen in a lot of multiplayer games.

Not knocking the game, though. Overwatch itself is super great.

I only played League of Legends for a very short while. I could feel the learning curve while playing it and I didn't feel at all cozy about it. Hearing so many bad things about the community just confirmed that it's a game I might be better off staying away from.
