There's no such thing as "being behind" in GO. Everyone is at different stages. It may be because of location or just not keeping up with it. Some quit because for awhile it got stale. They've rebuilt a lot too so it's a bit better in some areas too.

Yeah for sure! I've got plenty of Pikachu. Including the "Pikachu Fan" gold medal. Heck I'd have the rainbow platinum medal if such a thing existed I've caught so many. I've even got lucky enough to get a shiny Pichu now. Typically my buddy since that's so rare. That means you can have Emolga as your buddy when the time comes too!
