I mean sure, some people have reasons. Their favorite is just cut off from existence. Heck if was BALLSY to even cut out starters. My best friend is upset cause there's no sign of one of his favorites/mains being in game; Luxray. A co-worker's favorite is Bulbasaur. Etc. a lot of people's favorites or mains are just gone. Sure they'll come back in another game, but then others will have theirs cut again.

We can only hope that from what the game gives us it's more than enough to appease the masses or else things could start looking pretty grim for a new part of the Pokémon communities.
