Yeah, it's sad to see how the multiplayer modes on older games fade out and become empty. I had some pretty good times on those older games, but yeah, eventually people move on.

It's also one of the things to be wary of when it comes to games that are multiplayer only. Sure, same games last for a long, long while, like Team Fortress 2, but others may only go on for a year and then get replaced.
