The Location for Worlds 2019 is….

Now the Worlds 2018 is over, the big question now is where will Worlds 2019 be.
Pokemon players in TCG, VGC and Pokken can look forward to head to Washington DC for the 2019 Pokemon World Championships!
The 2017 Pokemon World Championships in Nashville, Tennessee has just concluded. The crowning of the World 2018 Champions in the TCG, Video Game and Pokemon Tournament has been done. Though, while everybody was celebrating their crowning moment, the location for Worlds 2019 was announced.
Washington DC will be the place to be if you want the chance to be crowned Pokemon World Champion. Make sure to get those Championship Points in the 2018-2019 season!
Best of luck to those who are on the path to Worlds 2019!

The whole experience at the Pokemon World Championship in Nashville this year was an amazing experience! Honestly I was kinda hoping it’d be closer again this year, but DC is still close-ish. So I’d LOVE to go again next year. I had tons of fun! I plan to spend a lot of the year practicing on Pokken Tournament to get ready and participate next year too.

Until then, I’m expecting some big reveals before then for the new games (Let’s Go in particular). Seeing as the new 2019 games won’t be out before the World Tournament in DC. I’m expecting some HUGE reveals at the PWC in DC.

Yup yup! After seein you went to the International. I had to ask if you were going to Worlds. Too bad and yeah I totally would have. They sold out of most exclusives SUPER fast sadly. Like the color shirt I wanted. Hats were gone the day before it even started. The Nashville Pikachu plushies sold out Day 1. So many gone just like that. I know how to plan for next time now though. Hopefully next year I can get a big group of friends to go with to DC. I’m hoping to actually participate in Pokken next year. Pikachu has to be on top again! Let a top contender Pikachu show the world there’s a NEW champion!

Personally I’m not big on the whole “country” theme, but it was adorable honestly seeing how the Pokémon were designed for it. I got so many goodies and actually a few packs which I haven’t opened a pack of cards in years. Especially Pokémon cards xD. Yeah it seriously changed my outlook for it and makes me super enthusiastic about wanting to go each and every year now. My word it was amazing.

I even got to test out Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. Controls are kinda tough to grasp at first. Third day and third try I FINALLY learned the proper way to throw. XD

I recall you asking. I said it I couldn't go because of work reasons. Instead I invited friends to my house and we watch the Finals there while play testing new decks. And drats! I figured that stuff went fast. Though I was more interested in the players exclusive stuff. That stuff looked rad. Now I want to judge that event even more.

I am not a fan and it was an obvious call. Though I love how they ramp it up to eleven on the production side. It was amazing to see the pictures from the event.

Sounds like it went well. I am curious about the game.

Yeah I remember you said either work or school. So that’s totally understandable. Just like not being able to afford cross country trips. Those aren’t easy. I’m just glad next year isn’t across the country. Yeah I wanted to participate in Pokken (and totally should have), but I was too late before working up the courage to sign up. Had those thoughts running through my mind keeping me from jumping on it because I’ve necer been to an event like this before. Mhmm, certain things were player exclusive sadly. Like the wristbands to get VIP autographs from Masuda, Ishihara, and Iwao (I think one other was there, but I can’t remember who). Msnaged to snap a picture though...with my phone xD.

Yeah I’ve worked with news broadcasting equipment and streaming it all before. It’s been years, but the production scale is incredible! The entire inside looked totally different than I expected. For sure next year I want to go to DC for Worlds again. It was so much more fun than I expected!

Let Go games were a bit odd at first. They tried to teach everyone how to use the Pokeball Plus (it’s all they let us use). It’s tough to get used to. Even the control stick is very sensitive. I tried going into the options to see if I could play with Pikachu or Eevee, but they asked me not to and to just play it. Guess they might have been worried about some bugs or glitches? Or a possible secret they don’t want us knowing about yet. The last time I played it on the last day. The one showing it off to me that time offered me the most helpful tip. Cause most times I threw the ball and it’d completely miss. She told me bring your arm to your shoulder then throw straight out. I tried so many different ways. That and underhanded seem the absolutely most accurate. Otherwise it seems more like a flail and just misses. Totally a lot of fun though!
