Amy glanced warily around the group. Poketches huh? Perhaps that was their ticket to being able to call home. But she had seen the news. Lysandre had been arrested along with many of his execs in the Holocaster company for a large plot that involved eavesdropping and tracking. That much power was dangerous. Amy narrowed her eyes and looked at Sophie. It was her call, but Amy didn't like this.

"My girlfriend was one of the officers in charge of handling the fallout with the execs and Lysandre in the Holocaster company. I've heard things that will make me suspicious of anyone with that much power to abuse. I'd prefer to hear it from Rowan himself if this was really set up by him. But, as leader it's your call."

"So to answer your question, it's a tattoo," Amy explained to Kinnie once the two had both collected their new pokemon. She then proceeded to explain every facet of the tattoo while Kinnie slowly felt her eyes narrow. She listened, but found herself tuning out a little, and wondered why she asked in the first place.

Moments later a man wearing a suit which appeared somewhat expensive approached Sophie. He was claiming to be a part of an organisation, and flashed an ID card that was meant to verify his identity. Kinnie didn't get a look at it from where she was standing, but regardless of what this man's card looked like, she was not going to trust that he was being sincere.

Then she got an idea. Pokemon battles seemed to be a regular way to settle disputes in these lands, so she stepped forward and brandished her shinx's poké ball. She caught his eye.

"Let us settle this like, uh..." she paused, unsure how to finish her sentence. "...Real...people."

She tossed a sideways glance to Sophie, suddenly doubting her plan.

Everyone began chiming in at once, with talk of battling even suggested. I needed to take control of this situation now.

"Can you give us a minute to talk?" I asked the guy in the suit, who seemed irritated but obliged anyway, stepping back.

"Everyone, huddle." I said pulling the group in to talk to them all, "It seems a little dodgy, I admit. But yesterday we were asked by an old dude who we had never met before to get in his van, and it turns out that was probably for the best. I say we hear him out."

"That's not to say we will be stupid about it." I clarified. I turned to Neith.

"Neith, where I am from, Pokedex's have a cellular connection in order to send Pokemon information to the regions Professor. They use it to track habitats and such." I explained, "When the Pokedex detects a Pokemon it can't identify, such as an undiscovered Pokemon, it needs user input before it will send. I want you to try and trick your Pokedex into thinking it has detected an undiscovered Pokemon, and fill it in as an SOS note to Professor Rowan, but don't send it. Just lock the Pokedex on the screen ready in case the s*** hits the fan.

Next I turned to Renny.

"In case there is something dodgy, keep that camera rolling. Be subtle about it, and if you get caught and asked to stop filming, then comply. We are doing this for our own safety, but we shouldn't take measures drastic enough that they could interfere with a beneficial encounter."

Next I responded to Kinnie.

"I like your enthusiasm, but right now, put it on pause." I explained, "The only reason I say that is because our Pokemon are already slightly weakened from the wild Pokemon before, and I don't want them too exhausted that they can't help us later if need be. What I want you to do is to not necessarily worry about what is said to us, but focus completely on our surroundings. Where we are, quickest way out, and what we could use to our advantage. How does that sound?"

Finally I spoke to Amy.

"Similar to what I said to Kinnie, but slightly different. Instead of where we are, I want you to be watching any other people we may see, be it this guy, or this Davis person like a hawk." I explained, "If you think that something bad is about to go down, crack your knuckles, and I will pull the plug."

"How does this sound?"

Kinnie returned her pokémon's ball to her belt and huddled with the others, hearing Sophie out. She made some good points and devised a sensible plan. When she mentioned their weakened pokémon, Kinnie realised she had forgotten about the state of her current team after the constant healing her pokémon received from the tournament battles. Hm. She was not being a very good tactician.

However, Sophie's plan made sense, and with each member of the group handling a different aspect, she felt more secure. She gave a nod of approval, but then paused again.

"What about...blonde kid?"

The girl who was asked to lead us to Grey beards goal asked to speak with us. What the hell was her name. I couldnt place it or her most of this time. Didnt she have a piplup? It was hard to remember. We hadnt interacted once during the last day. When she turned to me I couldn't help but notice her facial symmetry. She looked like a young Alicen Parks from the slasher film, Chopping Mall.
It took me to tune into what was being said. It turned out that this production had a rouge producer. Who was looking to control the flow of the film. Well no thank you!

Renny finally opens his mouth
" Listen Mrs. Parks, Ill refer to you when it comes to mission goals as agreed upon in the contract. However, when it comes to the film Ill have final say on how and when I film." Renny said standing firm

He didnt speak with an attitude to her and showed no disrespect. He stayed calm and let her know his stance. Once he was done talking he stepped back and started to prep the camera for indoor lighting in case thats where they were going.

Sophie took charge quickly, coming up with a plan almost instantly.
Neith was slightly surprised to discover the connection to the professor. She hadn’t really though about how to pokedex updated, she just assumed new ones were handed out or something. But hacking it seemed like a good plan.

“I haven’t had an opportunity to look at it much yet. I’ll try my best, but no promises.”

It was unlikely to be tricked easily. Quickly scanning Binary resulted in normal results. Which in a way was a relief, as it mean Bi’s coding wasn’t so off as to no longer be recognised. It did mean she’d need an outside source to edit the device. Her laptop was still back in Kalos, and they most likely won’t be stopping off at the Pokemon Center, but maybe…

Neith turned to the boy with the camera. He seemed to be fiddling with the setting for something. Neith wasn't sure how he'd take being interupted, but with the camera he was the most likely candidate.

“You wouldn’t happen to have a USB cable or something from your camera that I can borrow? It just needs to be able to fit into the Pokedex.”

As I set up my camera a trainer I hadn't yet officially met walked up. She asked about a usb. I guess she was looking to make some dex updates or something. She was the same trainer who had captured a colorized bidoof. Hopefully with time I could ask to take some photos. Colorized pokemon are extreme rare by me.
" Yes of course." I said offering her the cord she looked for.

"What kind of laptop is that? You seem talented with it. Maybe you could help me make updates to mine at some point. My video card is out dated and ill need more space for video editing."

The kid who did a runner was being problematic. And called me Mrs. Parks, though I'm not sure I knew the connection. As he stepped back and started playing with his camera, I stood forward, making sure to get in his space.

"Firstly, it is Sophie. If you had have listened to the Professor when he addressed us, you would know that. It's how I know all your names. If you really wanna go with formalities, you can call me Miss Reed, but I care so much for that." I explained, firmly "And as for the filming thing, whether you like it or not, we are here as a team. Every instruction I gave just then, was for the sake of ALL of us. Kinnie is focusing on our surroundings so WE can get out easily if things go sour. Neith is trying to hijack the Pokedex to get an SOS message out for ALL of us. Fact is, if we want to get home, we have to work as a team, whether you like it or not. And if you aren't willing to think about the others for something small like this, how am I supposed to believe that when things get difficult you won't hide behind that camera of yours, trying to get the perfect angle whilst we are in danger."

"Fact is if you don't like the footage it doesn't need to be in your film. But if you can't think of anyone but yourself and this film of yours, you can wait at the Pokemon Center. I don't expect myself or the others to be responsible for your safety if you aren't willing to show them the same respect." I concluded, "Besides, last time you decided to deal with a situation your way it ended with yourself and Kinnie tied to a tree, and Matthias had to save your a**..."

"As for Matthias..." I began turning around to face our sticky fingered friend, "These IDs they have are probably keycards of sort. How hard would it be for you to get one without being noticed? Just remember this place probably has security cameras in it. I just figure if we need to run that would make it easier."

As I set up my camera I got the response from the trainer whom looked like Alicen Parks. Her temperament seemed unnecessary.
" You arent supposed to believe anything. Truth is Im not here to impress you. I am here to record the events. Grey Beard asked me to help you and as I told him. I will follow along with this experiment as long as it doesnt get in the way it the real truth. Now I believe youre trying to elicit an emotional response. Its unnecessary, as of now we have the same goals. Please allow me to finish preparing so I can focus on what Im good at. Also if you consider filming the emergence of a legendary pokemon whilst recording the activites of a secret organization which can be used of evidence of said teams activity as a failure. I am unsure what you consider a success." I said

I went back to addressing the other trainers and let the hostile leader character feel empowered. The frustration and the lighting did make for a very intense shot. To bad I couldnt snap a photo of her with the city backdrop.

"You almost got yourself and Kinnie killed. That's a failure." I said, "If you're not going to act as part of the team, you're a liability. You brought this on yourself."

I turned to the security guard who was standing far enough away that he didn't hear what we had been talking about, and called out.

"Hey, mister! We're ready to go, there is just one thing." I explained, trying to be as convincing as possible, walking over to him, and gesturing towards Renny, "Our friend here, unfortunately has a condition called Kleptomania, and I feel like meeting Mr. Davis might be too much for him to control himself. I think he should wait at the Pokemon Center. I'd hate risk insulting Mr. Davis by Renny here taking something that doesn't belong to him..."

I pulled out Professor Oak's wallet, which I had confiscated from Matthias the night before.

"The poor boy met Professor Oak recently, and couldn't help but steal the kind mans wallet..." I continued, "I took it off him so I could return it, but he doesn't seem to care. It's like we don't even know him anymore..."

The security guard looked at the wallet, before handing it back to me, and addressing Renny.

"Go wait at the Pokemon Center, kid." The security guard said, "Dash Corp isn't the best place for someone with your condition..."

The security guard turned to lead us towards a nearby building...
