Alola huh? Interesting. So she was used to warmer weather too. Kinnie inquired about Amy's tattoo. She opened her mouth to respond when they suddenly encountered a couple of pokemon. Amy gasped. "Oh my god! It's a bidoof!" she exclaimed. Amy turned to Kinnie and bounced excitedly. "These guys are fairly common near where I live. Definitely gotta it!" Taking one of her pokeballs off her belt, Amy sent out Karl. The kricketune played a short tune on his arms before getting into a fighting stance. The battle went fairly quickly. While the bidoof was able to inflict some damage onto Karl, due to their difference in strength, Karl was able to handle the bidoof fairly easily. Amy had a pokeball ready this time and sent it hurdling at the bidoof.

Amy smiled and turned back to Kinnie. "So to answer your question, it's a tattoo." Amy shrugged off the jacket Sophie had given her a bit more to make it visible. "The first of many, I hope. It was done by my girlfriend's brother in law." Amy began to point to the different parts of the tattoo. "So this large yellow gemstone right here is my birthstone, the Topaz. Then I also like to sew, so you have a sewing needle with some thread and then some green ribbons because green is my favorite color!" Amy giggled and said, "It's very well done for my first tattoo. I'm thinking of getting another later of like a froslass on my other arm. Or maybe a dewgong on the back of my neck. I haven't decided yet."

I gratefully accepted the cupcake, however made sure not to come off too casual. Whilst Matthias was being rather friendly, after what happened last night, I couldn't help but be slightly apprehensive.

As the others spoke, I noticed Amy showing her tattoo to Kinnie, and explaining the meaning behind it. Seeing it made me remember the time I joked with Dad about getting a tattoo, and he told me that they hurt more than they were worth. The only thing was that I had never seen a tattoo on him...

Once the others caught their Pokemon (@Shruikan @Rival Max you can do it next post), we finished the last leg of the journey towards Jubilife City.

As we walked through the gate, we were approached by a large gentlemen in a suit.

"Travellers. My employer has been waiting for you to arrive, and would like to invite you to join him for lunch."

They finally made it back to civilization. The sign said the place was called Jubilfe. Sounded pretty cool. Hopefully they had a Pokemon Center to rest in.

Matthias watched a large man in a suit take notice of them and walk over to them.

Rule number one of surviving on the streets. 'The big guy in the expensive suit offering you something, is NOT you friend.'

Matthias decided to play along and walk towards the back of the group, hoping to find a way to slip away before they found themselves surrounded by goons in suits or tied up in thus guy's cellar.

Neith excitedly claimed her rewards. Her first Pokemon egg! She briefly wondered what was inside it. It was mainly Yellow. A Pichu maybe? Or a Helioptile? And also Money! After paying back what she owed, Neith still had more than enough to go on. There was an added spring in Neith’s step as they once again set out along route 202.

As they traveled, a Squirtle belonging to the “Lovable Rogue” offered her a Cupcake. Neith hesitated, then politely declined. For all she knew, he might have nabbed them when the picnicker wasn’t looking.
Binary looked at the cupcakes disappointedly as the Squirtle carried it away, then turned to Neith with the puppy-dog eyes.
“Oh stop that Bi, you can’t even eat cupcakes!” Then added, in a quieter tone. “Plus, I doubt the legitimacy of that guys claims. There could be anything in those.”

As Neith talked she payed little attention to where she was walking. As such, she nearly fell flat on her face as a shape darted across the path, only keeping her balance by grabbing hold of Binary.
After steadying herself, Neith saw that it was a Bidoof that had dashed past, seemingly enticed out by the smell of cupcakes.

This one seemed more laid back than the Starly, which Neith had decided to call Nemesis, so maybe it would be easier to train. Best to start small, after all.
Decided, Neith called over Fennel. The Bidoof barely had time to notice what was happening before it was hit by a blast of Fire from the Fennekin, followed by a awkwardly tossed Pokeball.

Funny, it looked paler in real life. I guess you can never tell for sure just from looking at a screen.

The rest of the trip was uneventful, aside from a few antics from Binary. Eventually, the group arrived at the City.

Finally, back to civilization. Hopefully we’ll spend more than five minutes here this time.

Within minutes of arriving however, the group was met by a large man in a suit. Neith immediately fell to the back of the group. Was this guy part of Team Galactic? When he offered his invitation, Neith spoke up, trying not to show any wavering in her voice.
“And who exactly is this employer? Do you really expect us to just follow you without any explanation?”

With the bait set up. Tony made the first move to catch the Bidoof and Renny focused on the Starly.

"Val, do you wanna try some of those moves we practices." He asked

Popplio nodded.

"Lets try the Gene Kelly and make it rain." he ordered


Popplio moved in while the starly was distracted and fired a shot of water soaking it. Renny filmed as popplio soaked the bird type and charged in for a tackle. Val wasnt very fast. Renny noted her speed and how he would need to utilize her best.

After the capture he put the gear in his bag carefully and joined the others. Renny stuck with Tony at the back. After awhile the group arrived at the gates of Jubilife City. Jubilife was a vibrant city with many things to see. Renny knew he could upload some of the footage of Team Galatic battle here. Renny had hoped it would help bring some awarness of what had just happened.

When a large man in a suit with an ear piece in and dark sunglasses appeared. Rennys interest was peaked.
" Cool, goons" he said unaware of the way that would come out.

He looked to Tony
"You think we're about to meet the villan? Seems like that point in the story." He said curiously only half joking.


Renny watched as Matthias one of the groups more interesting members dropped back to where he and Tony were. Renny had never really paid Matthias much attention. His character arch seemed to be based around being a weasel and shifty how he had showed flashes of careing about others. That was the least interesting part of his character. It was this version of the Matthias Renny prefered. The one who seemed like he was up to something.

" Maybe trying to be sneaky isnt the best way to act right now." Renny commented

Renny looked around.
"Whomever sent this large man to wait for us probably has been keeping an eye on us."


"Does this world have drones. Back where I am from drones were used by the police and made to look like pokemon. Seemed a little to much like big brother but the crime was very low." He remarked turning his attention to the others talk to the man.

The main in the suit grumbled to himself about this not being in the job description.

"My employers name is Davis Thomas. He is the founder of Dash Corp." The man explained, "He has a proposition for you."

When none of us seemed to know what he was talking about, the man gestured to a billboard on a building a few streets away.

I looked back and the man tossed me a lanyard, which seemed to be an ID card for Dash Corp. I quickly looked through it before tossing it back.

"The card looks legit." I explained, "What do you guys think?"

At least the others were being circumspect about his goon. That was a start.

Rennie's description of a police force with drones that could hunt down criminals sounded awful. Matthias decided that he did not want to visit Rennie's home region. Tony and Rennie joked about meeting a villain. Matthias tried to smile along with them, but suspected that perhaps they were not taking the possibility of a real life villain all that seriously.

"Just so long as we keep an eye on our surroundings and don't get led anywhere without an easy exit. That suit means money. Money like that means trouble. Keep your eyes open."

Neith and Sophie quizzed the guy in the suit about his employer, and it turned out to big business indeed. Dash Corp? Yep definitely big money here.

Sophie asked what we all thought. Matthias had some thoughts.

"Just remember where the power lies here. Rich guys like this Davis guy are not going to be going out of their way to help us without wanting way more than they offer in return. Also the richer someone is, the nastier they are if you walk off with their stuff." he looked at Instinct. "That means collecting any 'trophies' young lady!"

Instinct had the grace to look slightly embarassed, but nodded and said "Squirtle!" in a very sincere voice.

Matthias looked back up. "Do not accept any offer without knowing what you are signing up for, and remember, owing rich guys a favour can get you killed."

Dash Corp? The billboard seemed to be advertising a smart watch, similar to the xtranciever. So this guy’s like Lysandre? What would a business big enough to have huge billboards want with them. Or know they were coming for that matter? Did Rowan call ahead?

Sophie seemed to think the id card was real enough. And if he could get them a meeting with the head of a tech company…

“I’m not sure we should trust this guy completely, but as long as he takes us where he claims, then I think we should go with him. At least see what this Davis wants with us. Plus, maybe he can help repair Binary.”

Renny listend to everyone. At first it was kind of cool to think a villan was seeking them out but only in the context of the series he was going to make. It took him a minute to take it serious enough to add his two cents.
