Marina watched with wide eyes from behind the rock as the other trainers began sending their pokemon to battle the giant beast that had appeared before them. One by one, the pokemon fell, and Marina couldn't help but wince each time the Charizard retaliated. It was so strong...How could they possibly beat something of this size and strength?

Yet all of these trainers were charging in, trying to defeat this thing and protect each other. Marina had to do her part...She couldn't sit idly by. Her pokemon seemed to sense her determination, and she released Eider. The Staravia spread his wings, puffing out his feathers to seem more threatening as Kai and Arc sprinted into the fray.

"I'm sorry...I'll make sure to tend to your injuries after. Please be as careful as you can." Marina looked up to the Staravia that sat on her shoulders. He nodded, flapping his wings once and letting out a piercing cry before diving towards the Mega Charizard as well.

They had done their best. Marina could feel tears burn softly in her eyes as she withdrew her pokemon back into their pokeballs, holding them close to her as she murmured a soft "I'm sorry..." to each of them before looking up to the trainers around her.
