Having her marching orders and her list of things to get on her X-Transceiver, Amy went with the others to Jubilife City. Looking to the others, she said, "I want to head to the center first so I can heal up my Pokémon and add this guy," she gestured to the Spritzee, "to my party officially. Plus the sooner we book the rooms the better."

Leading the group to the center, Amy had her Pokémon healed up then moved to the nearby PC. As she was moving her Pokémon around, she felt a tap on her shoulder. Amy glanced over her shoulder and noticed Olive standing there. "I didn't expect to see you back so soon," they said quietly. "Is the Snorunt alright?"

"Yeah she is." Amy opened Freya's pokeball and let the Snorunt out to see Olive. Olive smiled a little and bent down to pet Freya.

"I'm glad. You've done well to earn her trust so quickly." Olive stood back up and fished something out of their pocket. "Here, take this as my thanks." They passed a berry to Amy before waving. "Well I need to go. Best of luck on the rest of your journey."

Amy waved as they departed before turning her attention back to the PC. She deposited Karl. The kricketune had served her well but for now she think he deserved a much needed break. And now it was time to add the Spritzee to the team.

Amy smiled contently at her new teammate and picked up Freya. Returning to the group, she went to book the rooms at the front desk. Showing her ID, she tried to book the rooms with everyone for their large group. She didn't like the idea of sharing a room with anyone but they had to do what they must.

As you book a room big enough for most of your team members, Drakes makes his way over, and books a second room which should be enough for the rest. Once both the rooms are booked, and it seems like Cody and Marina are not in earshot, he speaks up, after seeming fairly quiet.

Amy glanced up at Drake and paused in thought. Crossing her arms, she thought it over before saying, "Whiplash." She rubbed her arms and continued, "First off, I'm actually from Kalos. Obviously not your Kalos, but I couldn't say that and then know nothing of your Kalos so I lied. I'm sorry about that. But that said, that's how I knew I wasn't in Kalos anymore. It's a lot colder here. It took the full realization of what was going on until the first or second night for it to fully set in. And… it's a hard pill to swallow. I have a girlfriend, friends, and family all at home. I don't know how long we'll be gone for, or if time is passing back home. Do they know what happened to me? Do they think I've been kidnapped? Do they think I'm dead? Something else? There's no telling. And accepting that is… hard." Amy let out a long sigh. "I'm just keeping it together for the sake of everyone else, or at least trying to. It's what my girlfriend would do in this situation. She'd do everything she could to get back to me, which is why I'm doing everything I can to get back to her." Amy looked back up at Drake. "Does that make sense?"

Palila sat by the trash can, nibbling away with the Bibarel.
She sighed. There were still some more things to do before nightfall, and she figured she'd better get started beforehand.
Taking the paints out of her bag, Palila kicked over a trash can lid, flipping it over. She slipped her hand into the handle and held it like an artists easel. A really trashy artist.
"Alright Beeb, keep watch." She nodded towards the alleyways entrance, and the bibarel scurried out to the corner, eyes watchful and vigilant. The only other creatures nearby were a trio of birds- all of which seemed unthreatening.
Palila squeezed out a whole tube of blue paint into the garbage can lid, then a tube of red, and then a whole tube of black.
"They said not to go to the cops. Fine. Doesn't mean I can't leave a message." She talked to herself bitterly, then got to work.

It didn't take too long to do- but getting started was hard. She shakily painted the outlines in blue, before filling everything in, and then outlining in a bold black. By the time she finished, her brush hand was steady and the strokes were more purposeful. Annoyingly, she couldn't remember too many details about the mans face. Some parts smudged and blurred, and she dropped some colours onto places where they didn't belong. Overall, not her best work.
Still, it was something. Someone would see it eventually, even if it was just the garbage man.
"Alright Beebs, all done."
Palila wiped her hands on her pants, smearing more colour over them as the Bibarel returned to her.
"Right, well, I think you've repaid your debt." Palila looked down at the creature. It looked at her quizzically.
"I saved you from the monster potentially catching you in the forest, and you've saved me from people potentially catching me in the city. We're square, shortstack." She knelt down and gave the Bibarel a noogie. He received it with a regal nuzzle.
Some red and blue paint rubbed off from her hand, giving the Bibarel a bit of a purple mohawk.
"Woah, stylish!" She complimented him, taking out the pokeball she had used to capture him. She gently placed it on the ground, then went and picked up a cinderblock from behind the trash cans.

With a nod to him, she dropped it onto the Pokeball. It made a satisfying crunch.

"Alright Beeb, thanks again, now get outta here." She pointed him towards the outskirts of the city. He scurried off, looking like a Pokemon on a mission. Probably a mission to find out if the rest of his family made it somewhere safe.

Easy come, easy go.
Yet somehow, a respectful friendship had formed between the two.
If Palila ever saw a Bibarel with a purple mohawk again, she'd know it was her friend from the forest.

"Now, onto the shops." Palila told herself, feeling a little more grounded now.

We got off the track, finding a small clearing in the trees far enough away that our voices wouldn't carry to the path. Until the others returned we had to wait here. Everyone was practically silent, shaken at what had occurred in the hours before. Finally I had to break the silence, and make the call I didn't want to make. To tell Professor Rowan about William.

I opened the phone app and pressed redial on the number from earlier.

"Sophie! I presume you managed to find the two new trainers?" The Professor said as he answered the phone.

"About that..." I said weakly, trying to figure out how to tell him.

"What happened?" he asked, his tone shifting almost instantly to sheer concern. He could tell something was wrong.

"Marina and William found us, but they were followed by this guy who attacked us." I said, starting to choke up, "He said that he has seen people die because of people not being in their own world, and was going to kill us. William tried to intimidate him by threatening to let out that Pokemon with the virus, and the man shot him."

"Sophie, where are you? Are any of you hurt?!" The professor asked in a panic.

"William's dead." I said, as I lost control and began to sob, "The man had a metal arm, which turned into some sort of gun. It killed William and badly burned some of us. He punched Kinnie and knocked her out."

"Where are you?" The professor asked again.

"We're outside of Jubilife hiding. Team Galactic showed up and tried to take us, so he killed them and we ran." I explained, trying to stop crying, "Amy and some of the others who weren't shown on TV have gone in to the city to book rooms for us and buy things to make us less recognizable. We are gonna stay here until it is late enough that we won't be noticed."

"I will come get you." Professor Rowan began, before I interjected.

"Don't!" I said loudly, "Marina and William were followed from the lab. He knows you've been helping us, and might find us if you come to us."

I wiped my face before continuing.

"A wormhole opened near you which means there is a trainer nearby. Find them first before he does."

"So what will you do?" The professor asked, not entirely convinced.

"We're heading north. Any other direction and he has us cornered." I explained, "If we can cross Mt. Coronet and get into the Eastern Side of Sinnoh, we can hide a lot easier."

The professor was silent for a moment, before replying.

"I will find the trainer near me, and take care of some loose ends here, and meet you in Celestic Town on the 11th." The Professor said, "Just stay safe until then."

I ended the call, still teary.

My watch buzzed again, as did the others except for Tony and I expected it to be from Professor Rowan. Instead it was from Dash.

"Dash Corp has been working on it's cloning technology, and as a result, has left me with eight Eevee who need a home. I have transferred them to your PC systems (I was able to find those who I haven't met by hacking the Trainer Card Scanner and PC logins in the Pokemon Centers. I won't tell if you won't tell.)

Upon reading Dash's message I couldn't help but be concerned at what he said. He hacked the Trainer Card Scanners, and was able to figure out who was with us, even without the Poketchs. Whilst I understood there weren't many as savvy with a computer as him, could someone else hack that?

Wiping away tears, I looked over at Matthias.

"Hey, can we talk for a second?" I asked, "I need someone of your... Talents..."

"Yeah sorta." Drake explained, "I can't begin to imagine what this is like. Like, my mum is back home in Kalos, my Kalos, and I know that regardless of what happens here, I can talk to her, and get to go home and see her at the end of all this. But to be thrown into another world, and forced to be with people because of nothing but mutual circumstances, and have nobody from your life back home here to help... That would terrify me..."

I walked east for an hour as it got darker, and found a sign pointing me towards Sandgem Town. So I was in Sinnoh. Hopefully Sophie hadn't gone too far.

I eventually found myself on the border of the town, wondering how I was going to get through without the police being called. After all, I looked like some lunatic with a sword on his back. I had no bag big enough to conceal it, and if Chime was right and the only way back is figuring out why the worlds are going dark, then I was probably going to need it.

Before too long I was pulled from my thoughts by someone's voice.

"You're not from around here are you?"

I noticed an older man looking at me from a few meters away. I was so preoccupied by my sword situation I hadn't noticed him. Sloppy.

"What makes you say that?" I asked, stepping forward, as a nearby streetlight illuminated me a little more. Suddenly the mans expression changed to that of recognition.

"You're Sophie's father aren't you?"

I was shocked at hearing him mention my daughters name. Whilst it could have been a trap, it made little to no sense. Even if she had been captured or something, she had no reason to believe I was able to come here. He must have met her.

"You know where Sophie is?" I asked.

"I do, but I don't want to talk about it here. It isn't safe." the old man explains, "I am the professor of this region. The one who hands out starter Pokemon. It is better if we talk at my lab..."

Rennys focus since the capture had been on solely on the damaged footage. Ignoring the happenings of the others was second nature. When Palila left Renny watched. The girl was irrational and the petty squabbling had grown old. Good riddance he thought.

Palila was startled as Bibarel ran off and another Pokemon fluttered down.
A bird, probably part of the trio that had been watching her paint. It seemed to lack the certain spirit her other birds had. It swayed tiredly from leg to leg, eyes half closed, fanned feathers fluttering slowly. It looked solemn, like it was grieving. In fact, when Palila thought about it, this was the ghost form of oricorio.
"Hey, come here..." She cast around, looking for something to attract it over with, and her hand landed upon a Shiny Berry. That would do the trick.

The Oricorio hopped over to her, looking up soulfully, and pressed its head against the Pokeball.
Palila felt her chest tighten. She wondered if that Oricorio was attracted by the memory of death she held so fresh in her mind. Pokemon could sense things that people couldn't, after all.

After that, her Poketch beeped. A message from someone called Dash, saying that he had hacked their Trainer ID's and PC logins. Palila had neither of those things. She raised an eyebrow and hurriedly hit reply, fiddling with her watch, tongue poking out of the corner of her mouth in concentration.

Hey Dash, I don't have a Trainer ID in this world, and I haven't used a PC - Also, hacking the system is probably very illegal. Send me a trainer card to use. I'm in Jubilife. I don't care about the details. I won't tell if you don't tell! - Rae She had no idea who she was making a deal with, but if they were the same ones who made the watches and cloned eevees and could hack into PC systems, they were probably going to be more helpful than the Professor who she would have to wait until meeting in Eterna City to get a trainer card. She didn't even think that would happen, at this point.

Palila hit up the shops and changed her hair and clothing. Going for less orange in her hair and more icy purples and blues this time around. She stared at the racks of clothing, considering wearing a dress. It would be very different, but it made her feel icky. Maybe something more sporty and less street punk, instead of going the girly route. At the back of the shop she finally found the discount section, and picked a few things out at random. She bought long tights and legwarmers, a long T-shirt with a sad looking bird on it, a grey-green zip-up waterproof hoodie, and a pair of glasses with no lenses in them.

It was getting late- sometime past 5pm according to her Poketch- so she headed back towards the PC to find the others, potentially an eevee, and hopefully a Trainer card from whatever genius could hack the system.

"The PC system automatically assigns PC storage to trainers and creates links between their Pokedex and the storage box when their first Pokemon is sent to the PC or they log in for the first time. I placed the Eevee in an unallocated box and changed the program of that box to allocate it to you when the PC detects your poketch nearby, like it does with a pokedex.

I will see what I can do about a trainer card and get back you you."

Amy nodded her head at Drake's response. "Oh trust me, I'm absolutely terrified. But I'm not going to let that show unless it forces its way out. People perceive that as weakness and I don't have time for people to doubt me and my abilities any more than they already do." Checking her X-Transceiver, she said, "Well I'm getting some medicine for Sophie and getting everyone who needs them new clothes." Amy grinned and pumped her fist. "Time for my favorite activity! Clothes shopping~"

Amy exited the center and headed towards the closest clothing store. Checking her list, she began to scope out for the clothes the others had requested while putting together a nice outfit for herself. Grabbing a new pair of jeans and some new sneakers, Amy was looking through the long sleeve shirts when one caught her eye. She giggled to herself and grabbed it. Perfect. She just needed something to go with it. A nearby green and blue flannel shirt caught her eye. Excellent. Swiping it, she finished gathering everyone else's clothes, grabbed a beanie as she went up to the counter, and purchased everything. She was lucky this wasn't a high end store since this pretty much drained her of all the cash she had. "They better reimburse me," she mumbled. After putting everything except her own outfit into bags, Amy asked if she could use one of the changing rooms.

Using her own scissors to cut off all the tags, Amy slipped into the new outfit and twirled in front of the mirror. She couldn't have designed a cuter outfit herself. Well… maybe she could've, but she wasn't here to compete. Pulling one of Theresa's bun makers out of her bag, Amy pulled her hair into a high ponytail then wrapper it into a bun, allowing some of her hair to flow free down to her shoulders. Amy paused as she gazed into the mirror. She hadn't meant to but… this looked almost exactly like Theresa's hairstyle. Amy touched the mirror as she looked herself over, before shaking her head. Focus. You need to get medicine for Sophie. Pulling the beanie over her bun, Amy took one last moment to adjust her clothes before exiting the store.

On the way back to the center she stopped for some medication, and luckily they had a variety of pain meds. Amy used the rest of her money to buy several packs of pain pills. Who knows how much they'd need. The clerk gave her an odd look as she came to the counter with them, but she waved him off. "My friend and I use the same brand so I'm saving them the trip." The clerk seemed to buy it and rung her up. Dropping the boxes into her bag, Amy walked back to the center and headed to her room to drop everything off. Then she sat back down in the lobby to rest for a bit, using the time to write a bit in her journal.

Matthias busied himself trying to set up some camouflage for their makeshift camp. He did what he could to make life easier for the injured people in the party, but was a little out of his depth. He was much more used to looking after himself, than other people.

He wasn't sure how much help he was being. He was more suited to backstreets and alleys, then out here in the bush.

Thankfully Sophie came to him with a request. "Hey, can we talk for a second?" she asked, "I need someone of your... Talents..."

Matthias smiled. "What do you need? ... and who do i need to take it from?"
