Brandon came to, in what appeared to be a van. His first thought as he woke up was his pokemon. He tried to move his arms so he could reach for Skipper's pokeball, but found it impossible to move. He realized he was chained, and tightly at that. As he looked down, he realized his pokemon and all his stuff seemed to be gone. Immediately feeling anger surge through his body at the thought of someone taking his pokemon, he shouted out "MY POKEMON! JUST WAIT UNTIL I GET OUT OF THESE CHAINS AND I WILL KICK WHOEVER'S BUTT IT IS THAT TOOK MY POKEMON!", as he said this he tried to tense up and squirm to get out of the chains, but his body appeared to be weak and unable to muster the energy to do very much. It was then he realized that he was starving. He thought to himself "Why do I feel like I havent eaten in weeks?". He then took a deep a breath to calm down, he needed to figure out his surroundings. He started looking around the van and taking in his surroundings. He could see Alice, Rocky and Meghan sitting across from him, Rocky seemed to also be missing his pokemon as he was screaming about his Rusty. Alice was also awake, but seemed very out of it. Meghan still seemed to be out. Sitting next to Alice was a person he didn't recognize. After looking around the van, he looked back down at himself to see if he was injured at all and to see if there was any way to undo the chains with little effort. It was only then did he notice he wasn't in his own clothes anymore. He was in a white jumpsuit, and on his wrist was some sort of tattoo. Upon seeing the tattoo Brandon thought to himself, "Boy am I going to kill whoever put a tattoo on me, I hate tattoos!". Right as he finished thinking that, he heard the sound of rain hitting the roof of the van and he instantly had an image in his head of some electric bird pokemon he couldn't quite remember the name of. He wondered why he was seeing an image of this bird in his head? Had something happened in Lavender town? He tried to remember what the last thing he was doing in Lavender town was, but no matter how hard he tried, the memory just wasn't there.

As he sat there continuing to try and figure out the meaning of both the bird and why he was in a van chained up, starving and worst of all without his pokemon, he heard Meghan's voice "Alice, Rocky, Brandon you guys okay?". She must have come to while he was thinking about the bird and his situation. He snapped himself out of his thoughts and replied "I think I'm ok, but I am very weak, hungry and missing my pokemon and all my stuff. Are you guys missing your pokemon too? And does anyone know where we are and why we are chained and wearing strange jumpsuits?". Brandon knew it was alot of questions so soon, but he couldn't hold back the questions, hoping one of them knew where they were and that maybe, just maybe one of them had even one pokemon.

Brandon listened as Meghan answered "Mine are missing too, just like yours, and Brandon's and Alice's and whomever that person is. This feels like some kind of prison transport. If we were just straight up taken off the street why would be in these clothes?". Brandon was about reply saying he agreed, when Alice turned to the person next to her and asked if he was ok.

The stranger, who for some reason had a sack over his head replied ""It appears that we have all found ourselves in a similar predicament. As it stands it our captors have not harmed us it appears but they have taken the crafty step of removing our strengths. But do not fret fellow travelers fate has placed me here with all of you for a reason. I have foreseen something and when the moment is right I believe I can help get us out of here." The man sounded like he wasn't much older then his mid 20s, but based on his sophisticated vocabulary, Brandon guessed he was well educated.

Brandon was still taking in what the man said when Meghan, clearly upset at the Man's response said ""Don't fret? What are you talking about! If you can get us out of here do it right now! We have two friends who are missing right now Rose and Kyo. We don't know why they've been separated and we can't let them get away with them."

Brandon continued to remain silent and listen as the man countered back "This is the reason we must wait. If we make out move now. Yes, we might be able to get off this transport but that could cause any others in the area to speed off and go in other directions. We risk creating a new pathway that I can not see."

Brandon didn't know exactly what this guy did or did not know, but his educated and calm manner made him want to trust him. The man also had a good point, wherever they are being taken, there is a good chance they will bring Kyo and Rose there as well. As much has Brandon wanted to bust out of the van, find his pokemon and beat up whoever took his pokemon, he knew they had to wait. They would be stronger and have a better chance of escape as a group.

Meghan looked to Brandon, Rocky and Alice for back up.

Brandon, after taking a deep breath said "As much as I hate to say it, the man has a point. Wherever they are taking us, they will likely bring Rose and Kyo there as well. If we try to escape now, we may never see them again. Furthermore, we don't even have our pokemon, so even if we were able to beat up our guards and escape, we wouldn't be able to get far without our pokemon. I say we let them take us wherever they want to take us, once we know where our pokemon are and we can re unite with Rose and Kyo, we can plot our escape. The odds will be much more in our favor now".

Much later....

The van started to slow down and come to halt. It seemed they had arrived at wherever their destination was. After a minute or two, the van doors were opened, and bright light poured into the van, blinding them after being in the dark for so long.

A group of people pulled them off the van and lined them. Then one of the people, who Brandon presumed was a guard, walked by them one by one slowly. As he passed him, Brandon gave him a sneering look. The man stopped when he reached Rocky and asked another guard if he was 'the one'. The other guard replied "Yeah, is freakishly strong give him a shot of Hypnod 120 that will make him less hostile. Unless that is you're going to play nice?".

Brandon didn't know what Hypnod 120 was, but it didn't sound very pleasant. Brandon hoped Rocky would go along willingly for now, they would need his strength later when it came time to escape.

Rocky gave the guard a very intimidating smile as he replied "You show me my Lairon, alive and healthy and I'll play nice. Otherwise we can play game of "Kick the guy who comes near me with a syringe, right where it will do the most damage to his future baby making chances!" Brandon also cracked up, let out a soft chuckle before containing his laughter altogether.

The situation became very serious, very fast as Meghan shouted "Dont you dear stick him with a needle". When the guards didnt heed the warning, she quickly followed it up with "Lets show them who they are mesing with!". Meghan then ran full speed at the guard closest to her, tackling them to the ground. Brandon, adrenaline now pumping through his veins, saw a guard emerge at the back of the van, not wanting to risk him tackling Meghan, he ran over and pulled the guard down off the van.

The two continued to roll and struggle on the ground, the guard was just starting to get the upper hand when a voice shouted out "ENOUGH".

The guard immediately let go of Brandon and climbed to his feet. Whoever the voice was had to be in charge. As Brandon got back on his feet he looked up and saw that the speaker was Lorelei, the elite four trainer. Brandon could not believe his eye. An elite four trainer was in charge of a kidnapping racket!?! Brandon couldn't wait to break free and tell the rest of the elite four trainers who Lorelei really is so she could be kicked out of the league.

As Brandon thought this, Lorelei continued speaking saying "Enough, help these trainers up and get them to processing. Do not harm Mr. Smithwick. We do not want a lawsuit on our hands". Brandon almost chuckled again as he murmured under breath "And you don't think kidnapping and holding us against our will is grounds enough for a lawsuit?".

Luckily no one seemed to hear his smart remark because she continued on "Mr. Smithwick your pokemon are safe. You will see them again once we clear everything up."

At this point Meghan snapped at the elite four member saying that if she let them out of these chains, they could clear things up right now.

Lorelei replied with "Ms Stratus, it appears that you and Mr. Smithwick both needed extra chains." She smiled

" You have been brought here for your safety and that of the people of Lavender Town. Now I must excuse myself I have a special guest to meet." She said and then walked off.

Brandon snickered under his breath as he was shuffled back into the line "Held here for our own safety.... what a joke. The only thing I need to keep me safe are my pokemon and my pocket knife. Give me those back and I will show you how I keep myself safe".

The guards seemed to ignore him and brought the group in to a room for processing. After processing them, he was brought in to a room for interrogation. They showed him photos and asked him questions about Lavender town. All Brandon said to them was "I don't know anything about your talking about. I will not be answering anymore questions without a lawyer and without seeing my pokemon alive and well... speaking of my pokemon, if I find out they were harmed, I will personally give each and every one of you a beat down, chains or no chains. That being said, I shall say no more until I get to talk to a lawyer and see Skipper". The interrogator grunted, before signaling to the guard to get me out of there. The guard took Brandon to a holding cell where the rest of the group was already being held in.

As they sat there, Brandon broke the silence saying "This is complete bull, they cant hold us here like this... We have rights. I highly recommend none of you say anything more to these wanna bes without a lawyer", he took a deep breath, leaned closer to the others and then whispered "When they come back, we should jump them. All 5 of us could overpower a couple guards. We could take any weapons they have and demand they take us to our pokemon, from there we can bust our way out of this joint. What do you say guys"

It was a bold plan, probably would backfire, but it beat sitting there being treated like a prisoner when they done nothing wrong. Atleast in Brandon's book.

After Brandon finished whispering his escape plan, it immediately went out the window as a wave of weakness like he had never experienced before. His stomach was empty, it felt like it was trying to eat itself. Brandon tried to yell out that they needed food, but he was simply too weak, and he all he could muster was a whimper.

Thankfully, a minute or two later a couple doctors came by to check on them, and being concerned, had them moved to medical rooms for treatment. The boys were given their room and then they were given fluids and medicine from an iv. Brandon said to one of the nurses who was hooking in the iv... "Food... Can I have food... anything... please. His voice went quiet from weakness towards the end. The nurse gave a weak grin and continued hooking up the iv.

He was just about to drift off to sleep from the weakness, when he heard a voice say "Now is no time to rest my young friends". Weakly, Brandon opened his eyes to see who the speaker was. A tall man stood before them, a concerned look on his face. Brandon thought he recognized the face from somewhere, a book he read perhaps, but he was far too weak to try and think about who the man was. When the man said "You all look very weak. This is unacceptable. I will see what I can do about getting us some food." Brandon gave him a weak smile as he walked off, it was nice to see someone in this building actually cared for their well being!

After a couple minutes he returned with a nurse, who after a quick look at them turned to a guard at the door, saying with a snarl that they needed the infirmary.

The nasty guard replied... "Sorry Joy, we got that blind girl upstairs. The boss doesn't want anyone else from this group mixing with her for now."

When Rocky replied about his lawyer retiring, Brandon actually chuckled a little. He plucked up enough strength to reply, saying "Yeah... and you know what else your boss doesn't want? A lawsuit... she said so..." here he coughed a couple times before continuing "And you dont want to mess with Rocky... his folks are rich, they will own this place before you can say 'lawsuit' if we don't get proper attention..." here his voice trailed off, having run out of the temporary strength he mustered up.

He hoped the threat of a lawsuit would be enough to get the guard to allow them into the infirmary.

After Brandon's quip, nurses and guards seemed to flood the room suddenly, arguing among themselves as to whether to bring them to the infirmary or not. Eventually the nurses won out and the group was allowed to go to the infirmary. As they were being escorted to the infirmary, Brandon stuck his tongue out and shot a nasty glare at the guard who had initially denied them access to the infirmary. Once they reached the infirmary, they were placed in 2 different rooms, Rocky and Brandon shared one room while Alice and Meghan shared the other. They were hooked up to ivs and offered meds. When a nurse offered him the meds, Brandon thought about giving a nasty retort, but quickly decided against it. These nurses actually seemed to care about their well being and it wasn't their fault how they had been treated. Instead Brandon gave the nurse a weak smile and politely declined "No thank you... Just give me some food and let this iv do its work and I will be just fine". Brandon didn't trust anyone in this place, he sure as heck wasn't going to let himself be drugged in a place like this. He needed to maintain a clear mind so that he could escape when the time came. Brandon had read all kinds of stories of people being given medication that makes them so relaxed and messed up, they can't even remember how to talk properly. There was simply no way he was ever going to be accept any more medication then he needed to.

After the nurse left, the nasty guard that had originally declined them access to the infirmary, shot them an annoyed look before walking away. He returned a short time later though, throwing a newspaper at Rocky and saying with a sneer "There you go, Mr. Smithwick. You'll notice the front page says terrorist attack. That would be why minors are being locked up here. Youll gets a lawyer at some point but normally we don't rush terrorist to freedom." The guard then laughed and walked away again.

Brandon shouted after him "Your the terrorists... not us and your lucky I am so weak, or I would knock that grin right off your face", the guard continued walking away. After he was out earshot Brandon said to Rocky "What an ahole" before looking at the newspaper and reading the article about them being so called 'terrorists'. The article had very little factual information or evidence aside from the fact that the pokemon tower had collapsed and been destroyed. They also had a very blurry picture of the team with a caption asking who they were. The assertion that they could have destroyed a tower single handedly was outrageous and made Brandon hate the reporter writer so much. He said "Stupid journalists... going to make blind assertions without any facts or evidence." after a brief pause he said "Why aren't they going after Dredd, he was the cause of all this, we were just trying to stop him that's all" after still another brief pause he asked Rocky "So uhh... you think your folks would hook us all up with attorneys? Good ones... something tells me we are going to need them if they try to pin whatever happened on us".

The whole situation still didn't make sense to Brandon, while he may not be able to remember exactly what happened, he does know they would never have destroyed a historical landmark such as the tower willfully or intentionally. He knew they had the wrong people, but he feared they may not believe them.

As the group began to wake from there haze each began to realize the gravity of the situation. Rocky was the first person to act out as he realized his pokemon were missing.

"If you have hurt Rusty I'll .." Rocky called and then took a moment to calm himself.

Meghan looked over at him

Alice turned to the stranger who was masked and asked if they were okay. After a moment he responded

The voice of a man in his late 20s said.

Meghan was a little confused by the way the guy was speaking. "Don't fret? What are you talking about! If you can get us out of here do it right now!" she grumbled in annoyance to him. "We have two friends who are missing right now Rose and Kyo. We don't know why they've been separated and we can't let them get away with them."

The man paused
" This is the reason we must wait. If we make out move now. Yes, we might be able to get off this transport but that could cause any others in the area to speed off and go in other directions. We risk creating a new pathway that I can not see." He said trying to reason with the upset trainer.

Meghan looked at the other hoping someone would back her up.

Meanwhile, in a different van Kyo carefully tried to navigate what was going on.

"I'd like an explanation myself, if you don't mind. Last I remember, I was in Lavender Town on a rainy day. How did I end up here? Where are my pokemon? And where are my companions?" she asked

" Writer you are asking the wrong people. After the Lavender Town incident, we were asked to retrieve you and the group you were with from Lavander Town before it became clear you were involved." The young man sitting next to her said.

The driver didn't hold back.
"Why are you sugar coating it? Just call Agent Writer out already! He means to say before you morons opened up the portal to the distortion world freeing an ungodly creature called Giratina! Honestly, if you hadn't signaled to Lorelei what was going you'd guys would either be dead or Kantos most wanted."

The other rebutted that
" She also brought to us the blind psychic girl. I don't hear you giving her credit on that. Without her data how would the boss even know about that or how to handle the girl?"

(*finish up response to that and then jump ahead.)

It was sometime later the vans pulled into a now paved road secluded from the nearby city. The vans drove down a long driveway up to the front gates of what looked to be a mansion or hospital. They were stopped at the gate. Kyo could see that this entrance was heavily guarded and the wall around it was huge. Once they were given the okay, the 3 vans continued until they reached the end of the line. Kyo was able to get out freely of course. She could see only see one other transport as the 3rd one continued around the building.

Rose was escorted out of the second just behind Kyo. She was alone and without her guide pokemon. She looked scared and confused.

The other van drove around to a side entrance. There the back doors to the van were opened and light flooded in tempeoray blinding the team. They were each taken off one by one and made to form a line. When the orderlies reached Rocky they paused

"This is the one right?" The first said cautiously

The second paused looking at a chart.
"Yeah, is freakishly strong give him a shot of Hypnod 120 that will make him less hostile. Unless that is you're going to play nice?" He said looking at Rocky

Kyo scanned over the faces of the other occupants in the car, trying to decipher if they were lying or not. They had to be, right? Giratina? They had unleashed Giratina? She had no recollection of that, only of Zapdos. Kyo began to process this information when a certain psychic girl was brought up. She raised her head. Was it Rose? So at the very least Rose was here too. Perhaps that could be a lead to the rest of the team. It was a start if nothing else.

Kyo stepped from the van and began to stretch. She ached all over and still felt quite ravenous. Seriously how long had it been since she last ate? It was then that Rose was moved out of the van behind her. Kyo sighed with relief. So it was true. Kyo approached Rose and said, "Rose, it's me, Kyo." She put a hand on her shoulder. "I know you're probably confused because you can't see, but if you want you can hold onto me, okay?"

Meghan growled when she saw how they were treating him.
"Dont you dear stick him with a needle." She warned

As they moved in closer Meghan looked at Brandon and Alice.
" Lets show them who they are mesing with!" She called out

Meghan jumped on the closet orderly taking him to the ground. Alice took a moment to anaylze what was going on. After letting out a sigh ran full speed into one of the other orderlys knocking them down. Brandon follow quickly follow suit jumping onto the back of the bus to pull one of the men off. The masked stranger stood their patiently.

The tussel lasted until a voice called out
"Enough!"

Lorelei commanding voice stopped the orderlys
" Enough, help these trainers up and get them to processing. Do not harm Mr. Smithwick. We do not want a lawsuit on our hands." She said

"Mr. Smithwick your pokemon are safe. You will see them again once we clear everything up."

Meghan growled as she was picked up off the ground.
" How you take us out of these restraints and we can clear this up right now. We didnt need to be restraind in the first place."

Lorelei adjusted her glasses
"Ms Stratus, it appears that you and Mr. Smithwick both needed extra chains." She smiled

" You have been brought here for your safety and that of the people of Lavender Town. Now I must excuse myself I have a special guest to meet." She said walking off

Rocky was escorted off the van with the others into processing. There they were subjected to photos and questioned invidually about what happened in Lavender Town but none of them had any idea. After a half an hour they were all finally back together in a holding cell.

Meanwhile

Kyo approached Rose
"Rose, it's me, Kyo." She put a hand on her shoulder. "I know you're probably confused because you can't see, but if you want you can hold onto me, okay?"

As she got closer she noticed that Rose had some kind of device around neck. Rose didnt seem to be active normal.

"I dont feel right." She said weekly
" I cant sense anything." She said with her voice shaking

She reached out feeling for Kyos arm but before Kyo could help her. She feel to the ground.

The White Rockets quickly scoped her up.
" I told you the dampener was set to high!" The one said shoving the other.

" How the hell was I suppose to know!"

The bickering stopped as the appearance of their boss appeared. The Elite Four trainre Lorelei walked out with an assistant following her.

"Get young Ms Woods into one of the controled room." She commaned

" Welcome Ms Writer, I dont believe you've ever been to this location. This The Vault its where the White Rockets process the most dangerous gifted people we come across. I imagine you have questions but so do I and I hope for your sake you are able to answer mine in a sadisfartoy way."

"Amirah...." Rose opened her mouth to say her partners name, but was barely able to make a sound. Her throat felt dry as if she had not had anything to drink for days, and although conscious, she felt as though she might pass out at any moment. In any case, it was quite clear her partner and friends were all gone.

"Hey look at this. The wonder child is awake." Rose heard the words.

"W-Wonder... child?" She murmered, unsure of where she was or who was there with her. Rose could feel that she was in a moving vehicle, but she knew she was helpless without her partner. At one point the vehicle stopped momentarily before continuing. Soon it stopped again, and Rose was taken out of the vehicle. She was scared, but she didn't have the strength to fight back.

Rose recoiled when she felt a hand on her shoulder, although her movements were sluggish. She calmed down slightly when she recognized Kyo's voice.

"I dont feel right," Rose said weakly. "I can't sense anything." Rose reached her hand out towards where she heard Kyo's voice, but fell over. In her barely conscious state she could feel herself being picked up and carried. Someone shouted something about a dampener, although it made no sense to Rose.

"Kyo..." Rose muttered, completely helpless to do anything about her current situation. She tried to remember how she had gotten into this situation, but the only thing she could recall were fleeting images of a storm, and a powerful electric type Pokemon. Were these memories of the past, or another vision of things to come?
