Rocky smiled as Ox approached.

"My parents always told me that I mustn't use my full force on people who are smaller than me! I cannot express how much I am going to enjoy this!"

He met Ox's charge with his own counter-charge.

They were evenly matched, pushing against each other. Rocky smiled, finally, no more holding back. With a loud grunt he attempted to get underneath Ox and lift him into the air to throw him against the wall.

Rose winced slightly as she felt Alice tugging at the device around her neck. It was clear that it wasn't going to be coming off that easily. Suddenly Rose heard Meghan's voice. Rose jumped slightly, surprised as Meghan hugged her. "Is everyone here?" Rose questioned, hearing the footsteps of several others.

Rose held onto Meghan's hand as they made their way towards the exit. Suddenly Rose heard more footsteps from up ahead, followed by unfamiliar voices. It was clear that they had run into trouble. She heard one of the grunts refer to them as "terrorist trash." Did the White Rockets really think that they were responsible for destroying the Pokemon Tower?

Rose heard the sounds of a struggle when Alice and Meghan wrestled the director for the key. Suddenly she heard a metallic clang near her feet. Was that the key? Rose knelt down and felt around, trying to find it. After a moment, she felt an object. Sure enough, it was a key. Rose fumbled with the key, trying to find where to insert it. She could feel what felt like a place to insert a key, and after several attempts, managed to slide it in.

Rose heard a slight click as she turned the key.

Kyo moved quickly away from the crowd to where Alice and Rose were. Meeting Rocky and co there, Kyo unlocked the door for them and entered the room. Then everything happened at once when the White Rockets entered the room.

Glancing between Meg and the White Rockets, Kyo knew she had a choice. And she already knew her answer. Opening one of her pokeballs, her Meowstic appeared on all fours between them and the White Rockets. She growled and her fur stood up along her spine. Raising her ears, she let them glow to show she was ready to let off a psychic blast at any moment.

"Consider me one of the terrorist trash then," Kyo said, getting into a fighting stance. "Because we're getting out of here."

"Damn kid your strong!!!" Ox hollered as he was thrown into the wall.

Ox pushed back taking Rocky across the hall throwing Rocky against the wall. With a stiff right kick into Rockys stomach, he tired to take advantage of the situation. However this action only furthered Rockys own resolve. With a stiff hit of his own Rocky grappled the big grunt until he had him in the air and quickly put him threw the wall.

Oxs head and shoulders disappeared into the wall and after a moment he stopped moving.

Meghan and Alice did the best to hold off the Director. The two trainers in their weakned state could barely hold off the surprisingly trained fighter. Their attempts only worked temporarily as she broke free and dove to set off the alarm.


" The Vault is under attack!" She called into the PA.

" Lock the place down!" She paused

When she noticed Rose finally getting the key in to unlock the brace. She took few steps towards Rose.

" Dont!!" She called out.

"If you take that off youll destroy this whole facility!" She warned

Rose ignored the woman pulling off the psychic dampener. For a brief moment, nothing happened. Rose then was flooded with a wave of energy.

( All at once she experienced a wave of memories )

Rose stood nervously as Meghan finished the calk. She held up the a purple gem.
"Rose youll need to hold this and say the words" Meghan said

"Laying just beyond this door is Giratinas world. In there we will find Max!" She said preparing for the worst.


Rose nervously began reading the words while grasping the gem.

The memory faded

Rose now found herself standing alone in a pile of ash and smoke that was the Pokemon Tower. All around her were the unconscious bodies of her friends.

Rose felt the energy from multple gems. All at once they started to overtake her. She could sense one Gem above all others, the dark gem.

Rose screamed out unleashing a wave of energy so powerful it shattered every window in the vault.

Brandons fight happened fast and ended just as quickly. The sound of alarm set on the other end had got all Rockets to take action. A group of 5 grunts showed up. Two of them held stun sticks. The guards both looked fierce. Brandon's adrenaline had helped him somehow get through one fight. As it quickly faded Brandon lost most of his strength. The guards didn't show mercy as they quickly took him down without much of a fight. A few shots with the stun stick and any rage he had was turned into pain and weakness.


Before they could do to much damage a ripple of energy and the faint sound of a scream echoed through the hallways. Every person there fell to the ground and the nearby windows shattered. After the effects started to wear off the grunts began to get up. But a shadowy figure appeared



A gengar swept through the grunts putting them all down.

A voice that Brandon recognized from his trip on the van spoke up. As he looked up he saw a trainer reach out.

" Its time to leave." Morty said helping Brandon up.


" Gengar, focus punch the door please. Now that Ms. Woods has her powers back. There is no doubt that the president elite force will be coming."

The door broke down and the two now had access to the pokemon and trainer gear.

Rose slowly removed the dampener. She didn't expect anything to happen right away, as the only times in the past that she had been able to use her powers without Amirah were when Dredd was close. Suddenly however her whole body hurt as a wave of psychic energy flooded into her. She began to remember something. Had they done something to try and save Max? The next thing she could remember, she was standing with her friends unconscious around her. Had she done that? Tears filled her eyes at the thought that she may have hurt her friends.

Unable to contain the psychic energy, Rose let out a scream as she felt it overtake her. She clutched her hand to her forehead, her head aching and her thoughts jumbled as she struggled to regain control.

"Breathe." Rose thought, trying to steady her rapid breathing. It was an uphill battle, but Rose could feel herself gaining control, if only slightly. As she began to regain control of her powers, she felt as though she could sense everything in the Vault. She began scanning for a way out, the location of their Pokemon, or anything else that might have been able to help them.

Rose knew that her powers usually became stronger when Dredd was nearby. She suddenly began to feel as though they were all in serious danger.

As Brandon shouted to the grunts to tell him the code to the door, he could feel the adrenaline starting to wear off. The weakness he had felt earlier from lack of nutrition began to return. The fight had used up nearly all the energy his body had left to offer. His left leg also hurt quite a bit. Brandon pulled up his pant leg to see that it was starting to swell. It must have gotten injured when the guard twisted it during the fight. Brandon knew he would have to lean against the wall soon or he would fall. He did not want to appear weak in front of the injured grunts though, because they were his only hope of getting his pokemon. He was about to order the guards to give him the codes again, when a loud alarm went off.

Brandon knew that wasn't good and that guards would be all over the place again soon enough. He was about try and find a place to hide, when 5 grunts came running down the hall responding to the alarm. Two of the guards had would looked to be stun sticks. Brandon knew he stood no chance of beating an armed grunt, even if he was at full strength. Even so, he felt he had to atleast try to defend himself. As the two grunts approached him with the stun sticks, Brandon tried to swing on one of them in a last ditch effort to defend himself, but the grunt dodged the punch. The 2 grunts then turned on the stun sticks and started zapping him with them. Brandon immediately fell to the ground in pain, the stun sticks hitting his already weakened body like a bolt of lightening.

Brandon was about to yell that he surrenders, when a burst of energy swept through the compound, followed by screams from down the hall. All the grunts immediately fell to the ground and the window in a nearby supply closet door shattered. After a few moments the effects started to wear off a little and the grunts started to get up. Before they were able to fully stand, however, a shadowy figure appeared out of nowhere with a Gengar and forced all the grunts back to the ground.

The figure said "Its time to leave". Brandon immediately recognized the voice as the guy whose face had been covered in the van. As Brandon turned to look up, the man reached out a hand and helped him up. The man then ordered his Gengar to force punch the door open, which it did.

Brandon immediately began limp weakly and slowly towards the room that held his pokemon. Every part of his body ached, and it took all his will and strength just to walk, he felt like he wanted to lay down and pass out, but the thought of reuniting with his pokemon gave him strength to keep going. He entered the room and saw two table of pokeballs and one table with backpacks. Brandon limped past the tables, slowly scanning for the pokeball he knew to be Skipper's, with its black smear mark from when he dropped it early on in his adventure. He soon spotted it, along with his other 5 pokemon on the 2nd table. He limped over to the table and started to clip the pokeballs to his belt. As he picked up Skipper's he pressed the button, releasing the Charizard from his pokeball.

Once he was released, Skipper immediately recognized his trainer and let out a cheerful "CHHARRR" and was going to gently hug Brandon, but stopped when he noticed how weak and in pain his trainer looked. He scanned the room, looking for who could of done this to his trainer, he noticed Morty in the hallway by the entrance and let out a growl, stepping in front his trainer defensively. Brandon patted Skipper on the arm and said "It's ok Skipper, he won't hurt me, he actually saved me..." after a brief pause to catch his breath he said "I am so happy to see ya buddy, I was worried the horrible people running this place as hurt you guys". The Charizard turned back around to face his trainer, giving him a gentle pat on the head. Brandon was so weak that the pat was enough to cause him to start falling. The charizard reached out and caught Brandon before he hit the ground. Brandon said weakly to Skipper "Skipper, can you carry me, we gotta get out of here and I dont want to slow down our friend over here, he is our best shot of getting out of here". With a soft "Charrr!!" the pokemon gently picked up the trainer and help him in his arms liked a baby.

It felt weird being held by pokemon, but he had no time to worry about that. He needed to get the other's pokemon and his stuff and get out of here. He reached down to his belt and pulled Marshtomp's pokeball off his belt, pressing the button to release him. As Marshtomp appeared, he seemed to be trying to decide between whether he should be happy to see his trainer, or distressed that he was being carried by Skipper. He let out a scared but happy "Marsh Marsh??". Brandon said to him "Happy to see you too Marshtomp, don't worry I am fine. No time to explain what happened right now though." He paused, seeing how much stuff blueteam had, he would need all his pokemon out to move it all. He called out Primeape, Arbok and Parasect and Beedrill. Giving a short happy to see you too praise to each one. He then said to Marshtomp, Primeape and Arbok "I need you guys to grab those backpacks off the table and divide all the pokeballs over there up among them, I then need each of you carry a bag each for me please" the pokemon then set about to follow his orders. Primeape and Marshtomp opened the bags and pushed the pokeballs into the bags. Then they placed bag on the back of Parasect and Arbok, before taking one themselves.

Brandon then said to them "You guys guard that bag like you would guard my life. We got the entire Blue team's pokemon in there, so we cant let that pack fall into anyone else's hands ok?" The pokemon nodded to say they understood. He then directed his attention to the entire "Ok guys, follow our friend over heres lead, follow him where he goes and follow any instructions he gives you. Beedrill, since your not the only way weighed down with a bag, your on protection duty, keep an eye out for threats, but don't attack anyone or anything unless they get too close ok" the Beedrill let out an understanding buzz. Brandon then said "The rest of you are standard defensive forumation, if you have to drop the bag to fight, make sure you let nothing go near it". Skipper then carried Brandon over to where Morty stood waiting.

Brandon said to Morty "Ok, lets get out of here. Pokemon here is at your service if needed, if they will do anything you tell. Lets go save the others and get out here".

Skipper, Brandon and the rest of his pokemon followed Morty through the halls of the compound until they reached where the others were. Brandon was relieved to see the others ok.

Morty then showed them all the way outside the building and to a wooded area, where he somehow had a car stashed. Before the team could pile in Brandon said to his pokemon "Ok guys, I can see your straining now. Go ahead and drop the bags your carrying... Thanks for carrying them, your such great pokemon and I love each and every one of you". As his pokemon let out relieved sighs, he said to the others in the group "Good to see you all again, my pokemon have your bags, please find yours and pick it up. They should have your pokemon in them, but double check to make sure their right cause we were kinda in a scramble to get out of there quickly".

Once his pokemon had dropped the bags, Brandon said to Skipper "Thanks for carrying me buddy.... you can put me down now, you will have return to your pokeball as none of you will fit in the car". Skipper nodded and gently placed his trainer down on the ground, careful not to hurt his still fragile body. He smiled at his trainer the rest of the group, happy to see them all back together again. He then out a 'CHARR' to say good bye as Brandon began to call his pokemon back to their balls once again. Brandon thanked each pokemon as he called them back and promised to release them again as soon as he could.

He then stood and leaned against the car until it was time to get in.

After the team had collected their pokemon and briefly re united, they all hopped in the car and Morty began driving them away from the compound. As he did so, he formerly introduced himself and began to explain the situation in a bit more detail to them.

Brandon was not surprised to find out he was a gym leader. the way he took down those grunts so quickly meant he knew what he was doing. He was surprised to learn that he had gotten a vision from Max of rescuing them though. How was that possible? Could Max have broken free from whatever was turning him into Dredd? Brandon was trying to figure it out all, but his head was hurting from the blast and being hit with the stun sticks and he decided to just leave it for a later time. Morty also said he was taking them to Celadon City to meet up with a friend of his who would help them out.

After awhile of driving, Morty stopped the car outside of a building and then shuffled the group into the building using a back stairway. They were led to an apartment that appeared to function as an office of some sort. The place seemed safe enough and Brandon decided he would try and settle in. He took his pack off and placed it on the floor by the wall. As soon as the pack hit the ground, it began to shake and Brandon could hear a small crackling noise coming from one of the pockets. It was then he remembered about the eggs the group had received awhile back. The eggs were finally hatching it seemed.

Brandon unzipped the pocket he had the egg was in and pulled it out, he unwrapped it from the small blanket he put it in to protect it. As soon as he had finished unwrapping it, the egg completely broke apart and a Rotom floated up to greet him. The Rotom looked a bit strange, but Brandon wasn't all that concerned about it. He looked the Rotom in the eyes and said "Hey little buddy, my name is Brandon, I will be your trainer. I think your gonna like being with my team, me and my pokemon have a great relationship and look out for each other" the little Rotom flew around his head excitedly, letting off a buzzing sound as his electric wings fluttered. Brandon laughed and said "Your a bundle of energy aren't you little guy. I think I will call you Sparky, what do you think" the little pokemon let out an excited "RO TOM". Brandon chuckled again and said "I will take that as a yes! Well welcome to the team Sparky. Later I will let you meet my other pokemon, including my lead pokemon Skipper and Marshtomp. I think you guys will get along well, but for now let's just try to settle down a bit and relax, I have had a hectic couple days". The Rotom seemed to understand, as it stopped flying around him in circles and instead hovered next to him calmly.

When Morty asked about light types, Brandon's brain flashed back to a book he had read as kid on pokemon typing, the book had briefly mentioned light types but didn't explain in detail what they were. Brandon said "I have heard of them through a book I read once, but I am not familiar with exactly what they are." after a brief pause he continued "I am interested to learn about them though, so perhaps you could enlighten us".

Morty explained about the light type pokemon and about how they were an evolution to overcome shadow pokemon. Brandon was still trying to wrap his head around that when he heard something that made his heart almost leap out of his chest. He said he was talking to 5 dead trainers referring to them.

This made Brandon extremely confused and Brandon yelled out "DEAD! What do you mean dead? We are standing right here before you! I don't know about you guys, but I feel very much alive and well so unless ghosts have heart beats and emotions, I would say we aren't dead!"

Sparky sensing his new trainer's distress, flew around him slowly trying to take his attention off the subject. Brandon took some deep breaths to calm down and continued to stare at Morty in shock and confusion.

The battle didn't go as well as Kyo could have hoped, ending in a double knock out. Returning her partner to her Pokeball, Kyo drew another Pokeball and enlarged it. "I've got six more. We're going to get out of here. And you can't stop me or anyone else in my party."

Kyo stumbled when she felt the psychic blast from Rose. She shook herself as the flashbacks from that nightmarish timeline. Focus. This was not that Rose. She was saving Rose from becoming that person.
