As Brandon walked with Meghan, his Pokemon, Skipper and Marshtomp began to teach the new Rotom the defensive formations. Once the little electric type had the hang of it, Marshtomp took Brandon's left, Sparky his right and Skipper covered their flank in the back. At some point Skipper got tired of walking and decided instead to fly just above the ground while following Brandon. Apparently his size was bothering some of the townsfolk using the sidewalk. Meghan nudged him and suggested only keeping Marsh out, but Brandon declined saying "Last time I checked, having Pokemon on the sidewalk isn't against the law. Sliipper isn't bothering anyone, he is simply following behind his trainer. If anyone has a problem with it, then that's just too bad I guess".

Brandon knew they shouldn't attract any attention and try to lay low, but he didn't like keeping Pokemon cooped up in their Pokeballs anymore then he had to. Besides the fresh air was good for his Pokemon.

After awhile of walking, they encountered a group of bikers picking on some kids over the use of a park. Brandon ordered his Pokemon to move into a front defensive position. Brandon was about to shout at the bikers to knock it off and leave the kids alone, but Meghan intervened before he could. Meghan and broke it up and told the bikers they should settle it with a pokemon battle. She then tried to walk about, but she didn't get far behind the annoyed bikers started heading towards them.

Skipper and Marshtomp immediately took up defensive demeanors and let out growls at the bikers, warning them not to come any closer to their trainer. Brandon reached down to his belt and started releasing the rest of Pokemon one by one, preparing for a battle. Brandon told Meghan "I will take the girl, you take the guy".

The girl heard him say it and dismounted her bike, saying as she released her first Pokemon "With those legs I could bike circles around you!" . Brandon quipped back "But can you circle my Pokemon bully!"

Then Brandon kicked off the battle, sending his Arbok to take down the opponents Frogadier. Brandon told Arbok "Arbok use Poison Fang on that Frogadier".

Arbok hissed as it slippered over to meet it's opponent. After a moment of both Pokemon staring each other down, Arbok made his launching himself at the Frogadier and biting it with it's venomous fangs.

Arbok took some damage due to the Frogadier scratching him as he bit it, but he easily over powered it. Taking it out with still half it's life left.

Next Brandon took care of the enemy's Goodra. He called out "Good job Arbok, come back. Beedrill your up! Use Poison Jab!"

Beedrill buzzed angrily as he charged straight the Goodra, stingers pointed at it.

Beedrill tried to get the upperhand on the Goodra with the fast attack, but the Goodra saw it coming and tackled Beedrill as his stingers jabbed into him. The two tusseled for a few seconds, but in the end both Pokemon fainted.

Brandon said good job to Beedrill and called him back. Then he spoke to Skipper "Alright Skipper, your up buddy, take care of that Klefki!"

Skipper nodded and then let out a scorching burst of fire from his mouth at the Klefki.

Skipper absolutely destroyed the Klefki, easily taking it out. The Klefki had got in a few jabs while it was scorched though and Skipper had some minor injuries.

Brandon commended Skipper saying "Excellent job buddy! Now come back! Parasect your in! Use Leech Seed on that... fish!"

Parasect ran at the Bruxish with everything it had.

The Parasect fought bravely, hitting the Bruxish with seeds like they were bullets. Sadly the Parasect was no match for the Grass and Bug type, it was too high level. Parasect fainted.

Brandon called praised Parasect as he called him back to his pokeball "You did your best Parasect, that's all that matters. Marshtomp go finish it off!"

The water type nodded and ran over to the Bruxish and used Water gun, pelting the Bruxish in water.

The Bruxish, being a water type was able to withstand the water gun and followed it up with its own water gun against Marshtomp. The Marshtomp's unfortunate half ground type means it took a lot of damage. Barely standing, Marsh let out one final attack, pounding the Bruxish with surf. It was enough to take the Bruxish down.

Brandon wins the battle!

Brandon was about to commend Marshtomp, when suddenly Marshtomp began to change form. After a bit growing and changing, Marshtomp had evolved into Swampert!

The now Swampert stood proudly, letting his trainer and fellow Pokemon admire his new form. Skipper slapped him a high five excitedly.

Brandon's Parasect and Beedrill had also leveled up a bit.
