Something about Orin being a Stalker seems off to me. I investigated him and found really no evidence of it. He just sounded like a grumpy fellow. This is... weird.
I agree, something is definitely off. The picross puzzle seemed like really convincing evidence that it was him (Its possible I guess but I doubt there's another solution to it) but the others information doesn't add up properly.
I think there's a good chance this conversation is a trap. I found it really odd that the "mission disclosure" percentage didn't go up when one of our members got captured by the stalkers. If they are a stalker, why would they reveal themselves to us? And I don't mean in the sense of "why would you reveal your identity" I mean, why did they come talk US. The mission disclosure is still at 0%, they shouldn't know that we're trying to go after them any more than they would know the police are going after them.
We need to be very careful what we say/ask right now. Whether Orin is actually a stalker or not, They're definitely involved with them. (hence the puzzles saying he's a stalker) Maybe they are one, maybe they're being controlled by one, maybe they're just being set up, or being tricked into thinking they are one. No matter the circumstance it gives the stalkers the ability to learn whatever Orin hears from us.
Which is wy I'm hitting him with The Core Questions.
A Stalker appears to fulfill, and corrupt, a Wish.
The possessed always has a BURNING hatred towards someone, who shall be their next target.
And the name thing is for good measure.

Unfortunately, the whole situation with Orin is kind of in the gutter at the moment. We don't have any option to deal with him either way other than assassination, which pulverizes his soul if we do that. And we'd like to avoid doing that for as long as we can.
We're still in good enough shape where we don't need to go to that extreme, but until we figure out an alternative method to freeing him of that mess, the situation is a bit stuck in the mud.
I still think the Picross that Sam did, Madder's Investigation on Orin, AND the interview Carly had with him where he described every Stalker EXCEPT Epsilon (very suspicious) seals the deal that Orin is the Stalker Epsilon. Too much effort went into that and too much confirmation was solid for it to suddenly not be true. And to me, it's dependable enough to merit taking action once Exorcism is available (if it becomes available). But this whole new situation where Orin is openly offering information just seems fishy and I think it's a trick to make us doubt the confirmations we found earlier. That was NOT an easy Picross puzzle and for that to suddenly be totally wrong just doesn't make sense. He's trying to make us think maybe this is TOO easy and something's up. But definitely don't forget about what we found earlier. I strongly feel Epsilon is trying a reverse psychology mind game.
Because of all this, I don't know how much you'd be able to trust the stuff he says in response, but my skepticism about the validity of however he answers your questions is pretty much why I didn't ask anything to him. Having to take everything with so many grains of salt (being extra critical of all his responses) kind of makes it not worth it.
I definitely say still use Exorcise on Orin as soon as it becomes possible.
Yeah! The picross didnt say "I AM epsilon" it said "I know who epsilon is" which could mean its him, or could mean hes the one who helps us find epsilon.
Either way, if hes admitted to being a stalker truthfully, he will have a lair somewhere probably, and will know a bunch about some of the stalker corrupted tools -- so maybe we can use him like a sort of clairvoyance to test if he tells the truth or if hes guessing.
Apart from that- is there a guard action? Or like, should we get someone to restrain/protect him at night?
Lillian is still on a berry high- should she go fight and interview MeelaTey, or put all three medallions into the ominous chest? I feel like the best use of her talents is with pokemon, but I'm sooo curious about the chest.
I mean, I wouldn't put it past them to try and trick others. Oh and yeah we got a good explanation of the Stalkers. There's just got to be a reason as to why he would come up to us at our clubhouse no less. Much less does that mean we're in more danger now? I just have a weird feeling about it now you know? Until there's pure evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.

My only thing is if he's not Epsilon, but the wording behind the Picross is that he knows who Epsilon is but isn't Epsilon himself, then why didn't he say anything about Epsilon when Carly talked to him? That's really suspicious. In fact he made it look like there were only six Stalkers during that interview and he wasn't one of them. Now he confesses to it, but only after we realize there's a seventh that he never talked about? And yeah, Madder's investigation on him revealed quite a bit. A "very suspicious of Orin" outcome and let's not forget that diary extract, also.
Definitely still Exorcise him.
And I'm curious about that chest, also. I'd say do the chest, but either one is progress.
