Figuring that you should go and ask a grass-type pokémon about anything they've seen or heard, you determine that Pinlock the ferrothorn is a good place to start. You manage to find her rather easily in the bazaar, standing by a cart filled to the brim with goods. A makeshift stall is attached to the side of the cart, where you assume she sells goods to those who pass through.
As you approach, she quickly spots you, and uses her three green vines tipped with spiky ovals as legs to prop up her hefty metallic body. She gives you a shallow bow, extending one of the vine-legs as if an open hand. "Welcome to Pin's Paraphernalia, young leafeon. Tell me, what haven't you ever done before that you wish you always had?" She gives you a thoughtful look as she waits for a response, but continues before you can reply. "Let me guess--skydive? Swim for hours without having to go up for air? Well, my friend, I have just about anything a pokémon like you could ever want." If a ferrothorn could smile, she is smiling.
You politely decline her offer and instead explain why you sought her out. However, halfway through your explanation, you get distracted by the strangest feeling. It's as if all of your happiest memories piled together at once and flooded your mind with their pure, light feelings. You feel yourself drawn toward the left-hand side of the cart, and as you hurry over to it, Pinlock follows.
"Hey now, I don't believe you were done talk..." She stops herself, realising what you're looking at: a white, round medallion that looks very, very old. "Ah, that's my prized item. I'm waiting for the right buyer for that one. Isn't it beaitful?"
You ask her if you can have it, but she laughs, then realises you're serious, and laughs again. She insists that it's a rare item and she cannot simply hand it over. She had not set a price yet, but it looked like a valuable piece of history that she planned to potentially bring to the town's priestess. You try to explain to her that you believe it's imperative for stopping the Stalkers, but she seems to doubt you, wondering how you, a single leafeon, could possibly stop the dark forces flooding the town.
It's then that you lock eyes with her and begin to tell her about the mission you have been sent on. You call on every persuasive technique you have, presenting yourself as professional, dedicated, and more than capable. The ferrothorn seems taken aback by your words as you continue, crafting an image of yourself that nobody could doubt. You tell her that you having this item is potentially the difference between this town being saved, or being completely wiped off the map--with the world to follow.
Pinlock the Ferrothorn is now COMPLIANT.
Upon hearing your lengthy spiel, Pinlock's demeanour changes quite significantly. She appears to take you more seriously, and you can even detect a hint of a smile in her eyes, like she's impressed. She rotates her large, silver body down a little bit.
"Very well. You've convinced me. I see that you possess the power of the silver tongue, just as I do." She uses one of her long, green vine-legs to reach into the cart she has nearby, and is quick to find the artefact she had been teasing. She directs the vine back to you, and places it in front of your paws. "You know, charming pokémon make good merchants." She gives you a knowing smile. "Think of me when you save the world, kid."
[Safeguard Seal] was added to the Team Inventory.
You thank her and leave with your new item, thankful that you were able to convince her in the end.

After your success with Pinlock, you're feeling rather confident, and make your way towards the miscellaneous guilds in the Guild Sector of town. It seems to be fairly lively, and as you begin your walk through the grounds, you take note of several guilds that were not listed on the map you were given: the Barking Brigade and the Painters' Guild. You spot various pokémon here as well, and figure that one extra leafeon around won't draw too much attention. You get to work, going through many of the different sectors. Most of them are fairly small, which gives you less to search per area.
Just outside the Anti-Hygiene Guild, you spot an odd-looking patch of grass amid mostly dirt. You go in closer, lowering your head to see if you can see anything from a different vantage point, when you suddenly feel your feet begin to give way. Instinctually you attempt to push yourself to the side.
Dodge Roll Attempt: 30% dodge rate. Rolling... result: 39! FAILED!
Your paw slips on the crumbling soil and you fall a number of feet before you're staked in the leg by one of the many pointed spikes jutting up from the bottom of the pit that just very unpleasantly greeted you. You cry out in pain, then notice that many of the other spikes got you as well, cutting into your skin at multiple points. Luckily, you weren't skewed on the spikes in ways that could have been much worse.
Verde the Leafeon suffers 3 points of Health damage.
#Pitfall Spike Trap# 3 Health damage was added to the Team Records.
You stay there a moment to recover, and that's when your eyes fall to a strange looking weapon that looks just as pointy as the ones you fell onto, and possibly made out of bone. The second your paw touches it, though, a mental assault is launched against you, and images flash before your eyes of stabbed and mutilated victims. You hear their screams and feel their pain for but a moment before the flash is over, and you stare at the spear.
Verde the Leafeon suffers 2 points of Sanity damage.
It definitely has Stalker resonance...so you know you have to take it.
[@Bloody Bone Spike@ 2S damage] was added to the Team Inventory.
You take a moment to figure out how to wedge yourself out of this hole without falling back down again, and manage to leap out fairly easily, thankful that the pit isn't too deep. You take the grizzly Stalker weapon with you as well, hoping to put it down at the clubhouse and never have to touch it again.

Search (42) Valley Wellness Centre then interview 41. Finichi the Garbodor. Try to find out why she’s returned, but without revealing our presence if she seems suspicious.
You head over to the Valley Wellness Centre, finding that it's a nice building that's fairly well maintained. You can see that only Eclipse is here today, as his work colleague, Timpani, must be off duty.
You start by searching inside the centre for anything that stands out to you. This place has a hominess to it that most other buildings in Salvage Keep do not, and you find yourself easily appreciating it, especially in an environment that isn't easy to relax in. These pokémon, despite the dangers of the Stalkers, stay and perform their duties, trying to help those that still remain to keep hope and move forward.
The interior of the building doesn't take you too long to search, and once you're done, you head outside in the hopes that you might encounter something. There is a courtyard out the back with plenty of flowers, which you gather patients might like to be around for their calming appearance. The scent is also wonderful. However, nothing beyond this catches your attention, so you move further out into the land. Then, something catches your eye in the distance. It looks like something large, such as a bookshelf.
You come in closer, only to find that it appears to be a very old, hopefully nonfunctional iron maiden. The spikes inside it have been entirely broken off, which makes it basically a giant metal glasses case. At the base, you can see that there is some kind of pressure pad. You wonder if it'll trigger the trapping mechanism if you stand on it, but even if it did, there are no spikes to hurt you anyway. You instead try placing rocks on the pad, but nothing happens. You take your chances and step inside, putting your full weight on the pad, but...still nothing. You frown, wondering if you're too light to trigger the mechanism. You then notice that there is another pressure pad at the top, and figure that something large enough must be able to apply the right pressure in two places.
{Old Iron Maiden: ^Large Pokemon^} was added to the Team Records.
Figuring you can't really do much here, you search the remainder of the area, but find nothing special. You elect to move on.

You...have been an Emissary before. You recognise this lumbering, smelly form of Finichi the garbodor. You know that she was one of the Stalkers back when Silvercoal City was under their influence, and she was the only one set free of the Enthrallers' influence. So, that begs the question: what is she doing here now? You don't know if she will recognise you, but there's only one way to find out.
You find Finichi wandering somewhat aimlessly around town, and when you have her in your sights, you feel your heart beat faster with adrenaline. This is a confronting thought, but it worked out with Tashy, so perhaps the same goes for this time.
Walking slowly behind her, you say her name quietly, and get no response. You try again, this time louder, and the large poison-type stops, then takes a solid ten seconds to turn around. When she looks at you, you're taken aback by the absent look in her eyes and the gaunt appearance in her face. You begin talking to her, asking her why and how she's here, and she stares just left of you the whole time, unblinking.
Flies swarm around her, and one lands on her open eyeball. She does not blink, and merely keeps staring at you before she opens her mouth. A foul stench emanates from her, causing you to cough involuntarily as she begins speaking. "Tiny deerling," she says, her voice devoid of soul and raspier than you remember, "how are you today? I am well, thank you." She stares to your right, then turns around and lumbers away again.
You frown, confused by her response, and round the garbodor so you're standing before her. She almost bowls you over before coming to a stop and staring back down at you, again not actually looking at your eyes.
"Meet me...at the car yard...after dark." A glob of something - whether it's food or random garbage - drops of her face and splats on the ground beside you, and you pull up your hoof, disgusted.
The pokémon turns her crooked gaze back up and she shuffles away.

I should like to Interview Silcress the Zweilous!

You know where to find Silcress based on the information given to you by your fellow Emissaries. As you expect, he is standing guard outside Salvage Keep, although "guard" is the technical term, rather than an accurate term.
As you approach, you can see that the zweilous is grunting heavily, both his necks pulling in different directions as his heads sway and his front legs dig into the ground. You find this immediately alarming, and while you acknowledge that you haven't before met his pokémon and therefore don't know his usual behaviour, this seems out of place. You begin to feel wary as you get in closer and finally reach speaking distance.
You call out his name, but the dual-type persists his strained vocalisations and doesn't seem to register your presence. You try again, and continue trying until you get in close quarters with him. It's then that you notice something small and gleaming on his chest, although you can't quite get a good look at it amongst his fur. His behaviour doesn't change until you begin to explain to him why you want to talk with him, and the second he hears the word "Stalker," both heads snap up straight at you.
In a disturbing multi-tone voice, he growls at you, "DIE!"

As soon as Silcress launches himself at you, you dodge out the way, staying for a moment to shout at him to cease his attacks so you can talk. The pokemon, seemingly mad, doesn't respond as only grunts and whispers escape his mouths. He comes at you again with snapping jaws, but again you dodge, then decide you had better get out of here. However, as you make a move to escape, he finally manages to hit you with a dark pulse, which, although barely painful, trips you up for a moment. Then, however, you take advantage of an opening and rocket past him, managing to leave his vicinity before he can attack you further.
He attempts to pursue you, but you're much too fast for him, and he gives up shortly thereafter. You hear the half-shout, half-muttering as you widen the distance between you and him, panting all the while. You eventually find a place to settle, thankful that you're able to see so well in the dark. You're sure that you felt something sinister emanating from that gleaming chest thing, but you can't be sure. Whatever the case, you're just glad you got out of there with barely a scratch.

Well that was a less than pleasant experience but perhaps interviewing Krenta the Haunter will give us some insight like the old blight said.

Although Anguleri wasn't very helpful, you figure that, in the very least, the haunter they mentioned should be able to provide you with something useful. So, as soon as night falls, you head over to the Salvage Keep Library. You know that Old Lace found interesting things here, so you hope that the library's keeper has something of interest for you.
As you wander up to the building, you see that the lights inside are dim, and the haunter is locking up the entrance doors. Before he leaves, you hurry up to him and begin a conversation.
He doesn't say anything for a moment, and looks you up and down while wearing a somewhat concerned expression. "The...library is closed," he says, his voice quiet.
You tell him that you are there to discuss things with him, such as anything strange he has seen lately, or anyone he finds suspicious. He looks to the side, appearing a little nervous.
"W-well...there was a very, very big customer today... Never before have I seen such muscles on somebody. I...don't even know what species he is," he whispers, looking left and right as if he's afraid he'll offend someone. "Then he walked out with something, but it wasn't a book, so I didn't stop him..." He pauses as you ask him about anything else he might have seen. He floats a little lower. "I think someone's been stealing books...for some reason or another." Again he looks to his left, then to his right. "I mean, well...they often get checked out, but I don't see most of them again. Various pokémon - a different species every time - will come in and rent books under the name Nollim-Fio. I think it might be an alias... I went back and checked my records, and every book checked out was about the subject of anatomy. I...can't help but wonder if this Nollim-Fio is a gang leader of some kind, who uses anatomical books to find the best spots on a pokémon to beat up if they don't pay!" You ask if he thinks it could be related to the Stalkers, and he shakes his head--which is basically his entire body. "I don't think so. It started happening months before they showed up. But...still weird, right?"
You ask him if he could provide any examples of the pokémon who have rented out the books, but he tells you that he has tried to look for them, only to find that most of the species do not live in Salvage Keep, or even the entire valley, and there's no evidence to follow. You can't help but feel like this is useless information, but take note of it anyway.
"The only species who has made multiple check-outs was a mienfoo... I don't really have anything to charge him with except late book fees, and even then, I don't think he's the name in the ledger." He sighs. "S...sorry I'm not of any further use. I am lucky to not have encountered the Stalkers at all yet. Though I have noticed that Juparl has been ignoring me lately...and uncharacteristically aggressive. K-kinda makes me feel frightened of her..." He shudders. "Anyway, I must be going. I hope I helped...somehow."
He floats around the back of the library, then melts into the shadows.
