Unless there's something legitimately insensitive about a design, I don't really like a design being referred to as needing 'fixing'. This feels more like a 'what could have been'. I saw an interesting post on the difference between Gen 1 and modern Gen styles recently-- basically it came down to, 'gen 1 is more focused on realism' and 'modern is more focused on a cuter art style and simplicity', which is easier for kids to draw, them being the target audience.
Also Golbat is just perfect the way it is.
