This is absolutely insane. Your family has some great luck! My cousin and I had random encounter shinys the 1st day we got the game (weedle and caterpie lol). Since then she found 2 shinys chain fishing ,but ran from a poliwag because she wasnt paying attention. Since then she's spent 30+ hours in the freind safari and has still not found a shiny. I guess her luck is just awful. I rarely shiny hunt but I have quite a few from trading and matsuda methoded one the other day in less than a box, when she has hatched around 10 boxes full without getting one.

Yesterday I found my Shiny Hoppip and my mom found Shiny Nidoran Female and Shiny Scraggy... XD

Our luck is too much.


Btw, Dredd, I have Shiny Gligar. ;3 It was my second caught shiny in X. :D

I had luck like that and then after I got it, and now I've only caught like four or five shinies. D:< Ha ha, but just kidding, you should try for it. It's an amazing accomplishment! Maybe it's just that the RNG turned on me. :P

Interestingly enough however, I JUST caught a Shiny Mareep I found in a horde! <3 It's my first shiny in a while, and I absolutely adore Ampharos! Hopefully things will get better from here. Hopefully.

Hey, hey, I caught Shiny Gligar legitimately. We didn't have a second 3DS until a couple weeks ago because my boyfriend is letting me borrow it. :P That, and my mom didn't get Y until a week after Christmas. :P

[Synthesis]

Chainfishing kinda makes shinies seem less rare. I found two shiny Skrelp and a shiny Horsea in the space of like 40 minutes. All have shocking IVs though :<

I was keeping this on the down-low until I traded Kaoru Medicham for her birthday, but I found three shinies Saturday!

Shiny Spritzee, Shiny Tyrogue, and Shiny Meditite.

Spritzee is now Aromatisse, which I am GLADLY keeping!

Tyrogue is up for trade, hopefully for a shiny new Kalos Pokemon I don't have!

Finally, Meditite, which I EV trained, evolved, and got to level 50, was traded to Kaoru for her birthday today! It's her favorite. :3

Anyway, I hope this is a signal that the shinies are coming back again!
