I'm unsure if this is what you were looking for but I kind of went nuts over an image I found (which I incorporated into the background) and based the rest around that. If you don't like it feel free to request another one! This is all good practice for me so if it's totally ugly to you and you'd like something else then I can do it over :)

Heya, Absol! Thought I'd drop in and say hi! I simply love how you make banners- the splashes are all colorful and creatively done! However... I do have a concern- and please don't take this the wrong way.

I recognize some of the images you use in the banners- such as that Absol- as the work of other artists (PurpleKecleon, in this case). Many artists aren't fond of their images being used in banners without prior permission and proper credit. Please do be sure to ask permission before using these images- and definitely do not forget to leave credit in some form or another unless the original artist specifically states that credit is not needed (which is uncommon).

Again- don't take this badly. I'd just hate to see a fellow member of the PXR community get into some sort of mess with an upset artist. I'm sure you know artists can be violent, destructive, and very possessive beings and I'd hate to see you get in trouble with them. v-v

However, the images I use are almost always off of render sites, the odd times being when someone provides an image for me, or when I use images that artists create who want their art used without permission (it's more often than you think :) )! Especially with the Pokemon Fandom. I will agree there are artists out there that don't want their art used at all, or want their art sourced, etc, and if a render I use falls into that category (without myself knowing) I will most definitely contact them or source them when needed. It's the internet so of course images are going to end up moved around and placed onto sites further away from the artist. I am happy to source them though etc. I will never lay claims to the renders I use unless I explicitly state. I am a painting/sketch artist as well so I understand the perspective (although I would never be upset for someone to use my art elsewhere unless they laid claims to it, then I would just be confused haha).

Having said all of this you're welcome to, and anyone else is welcome to, leave me sources if they think an artist's work has ended up in the wrong place as a free to use render! I am happy to be respectful to fellow artists' wishes, even if that involves removing a render. :) I will start by getting in touch with PurpleKecleon by the way.

I apologize for the delayed response- my computer is being a little funny today (running 24 hours?) then the forum ate my post... bad luck today.

Thank you for responding to this as well as you did. This is always a bit of a touchy subject to bring up- I dread having to bring this up in most cases.

Anyway- those render sites aren't always very reliable. Many images are posted up there without the original artists ever knowing. It really doesn't hurt to do a quick check through deviantart, google, or other art sites to see if you can find the original artists to credit them. Also- it never hurts to search through DA for your images instead. You'd be surprised how many artists are willing to allow you to use their work with proper credit being given. I used to make a lot of banners- so I would know. (No, I was never good at it).

On that note, I did speak with PurpleKecleon to see if she was aware that you were using the images or not- I always check before I say anything. She asked the images to be removed unless credit is giving IN the image. I found some of the other images with a quick DA search- not all of them- and I'm unsure of how these artists would like to be credited or if they're okay with their images being used to begin with. Thought I'd link you to them though.
