I came in like a wrecking ball...
Jon and Alyssa Drake
Jon and Alyssa's Room
Affected RPers: None
Jon awoke fairly early in the morning, resuming his search for the mystery teenager from yesterday who was one of the few people that could quite easily tear this plan apart at the threads. He had made his way through a third of the files the evening prior, however hadn't made any headway. As Alyssa continued to sleep, Jon kept swiping through the files, whilst in the back of his mind, thinking through little details to sell the story. The biggest one would be making sure he isn't seen on any sort of friendly terms with the girls, especially Cassandra. Whilst they were allowed to leave their room when escorted, the only place where Jon could speak to them in person was their room, presuming he wasn't seen, however he didn't plan on taking that risk unless it was necessary. There was the chance of speaking in the waiting room, however someone like Ethan, who particularly now had a bone to pick, could pose a risk.
"Any luck?" Alyssa asked, as she yawned, starting to sit up in bed.
"Nothing yet." Jon replied, "I doubt it will be an issue. She barely seemed old enough to be travelling alone, so I doubt she was able to get on the ship off the record. More worried about other things."
"Yeah, there is a lot of delicate stuff that needs to happen today." Alyssa said, as she began getting out of bed, "Anything I can help with?"
Jon thought for a moment. If he needed to get in touch with the Ladies, he could always go through Steven, however Steven may have to go through other operatives if he is on the other end of the ship, or occupied with something else. Additionally, he had no idea which operatives were in league with Lance, so having as few messengers as possible would be more secure. Really, a direct line would be perfect. And they had been allowed to keep their phones, as their managers and publicity teams would begin asking questions if they stopped taking calls...
"You might be able to..." Jon said, before getting out of bed, grabbing the notepad on the nearby table and scrawling his mobile number and a note.
"I can't risk being seen in person with you before tonight's show. Send me a message so I can reach you directly if things change between now and tonight."
"Think you could pass on a message for me?" Jon asked, handing Alyssa the note, "I know you missed being able to do your sneaky reporter stuff this trip."
"Hey, I got to break out the wig." Alyssa laughed, as she started getting changed into her gym-wear, "But you got the right girl for the job."
"They're currently in Central Park." Jon explained, having been one of the few to recieve updates from the operatives who are acting as their escort, alongside Steven and Cynthia, "Reckon you could slip this to them there, with all the people around?"
"Piece of cake."
Alyssa scooped up the note, as well as her phone, before making her way to the door.
"I'm going to go to the gym after I give them this, but let me know if you need anything else." Alyssa replied, "Especially since Mr. Big-Bad Jon Drake can't be seen near them."
She chuckled to herself before walking out the door, leaving Jon to keep skimming through files.
Alyssa Drake
Central Park
Affected RPers: @Neo Emolga
Alyssa made her way to central park, looking around at the Cafes, trying to find the Diamond Ladies. It didn't take long before she spotted Cassandra and Violet, alongside one of the operatives escorting them.
"Target sighted" Alyssa thought to herself, chuckling at what her cruise had turned into, before making her way towards them.
"Miss Silvers!" Alyssa called out, making her way over, very quick to continue speaking before Cassandra responded with any sort of familiarity.
"My name is Alyssa, and I'm a reporter with BattleNET." she explained, having to fight the habit to refer to herself as Alyssa Drake, knowing what the reputation of Jon Drake will be after tonight.
"I presume you are about to have breakfast, so I won't hold you." Alyssa explained, "I'd love an interview with you sometime before, or even after tonight's match, so please give me a call when you can spare a moment to make that happen!"
Alyssa quickly put her hand out, placing the note in Cassandra's hand.
"I loved last night's match! Good luck with tonight's battle!" Alyssa said, before turning to leave, quite quickly, not wanting to dawdle...
