Violet and Cassandra seemed to agree with Alyssa's concerns, whilst Jarena seemed more interested in becoming a Pokemon again more than whatever course of action was safest and most logical going ahead. Jimmy on the other hand used Jirachi to Deus Ex Machina the concerns into irrelevancy. They were teleported to a safer location alongside Steven, Cynthia and Avery, the two former giving their blessing to the plan.

The evening before, Jon had mentioned Jirachi, hence why Alyssa wasn't too surprised seeing it in the first place. However Jon had mentioned Jimmy not going to a great deal of effort to keep Jirachi from causing problems with its unfortunate combination of naivety and sheer reality manipulating power. Whilst Alyssa thought he may have just been tired and grumpy after a hell of a day, seeing Jirachi fly in with Jimmy trailing to keep up caused her to agree with him, and wonder why he doesn't keep Jirachi in a Pokeball unless his abilities are needed until he has grown up a little. Now the plan that seems to have more holes in it than this ship does from Latios has been given the okay by Steven and Cynthia, but given Jarena's desire to run it anyway, and Jirachi's tendency to grant wishes without even telling the people who wished for it, she wasn't one hundred percent sure that there wasn't some interference.

Steven did raise a valid point about having to go through the operatives with a fine tooth comb, and weed out those under Lance's influence. Perhaps her talents would be better suited there.

"I think it best if I help Steven try and find the rest of Lance's guys. I met Jon because I figured out he was using a fake name, so I think finding these guys shouldn't be too hard." Alyssa explained, "Though Matt needs to be detained, since he is the one most able to ID me since I am technically not an operative. Steven, do you think we can isolate him and mess with my file in your database?"

"Should be easy enough. I'd appreciate the help." Steven replied.

"But we do have to teleport back, you know that right?" Alyssa explained, "If we enter a room with one entrance, then are seen leaving another room, it raises questions..."

Everyone had been teleported to the "safest place" on the ship as Jimmy told Jirachi to do.

“Whoa, wait, how did we…” Jarena asked, looking around. “Hey, isn’t this our room from last night?”

“Safest location on the ship…” Cassandra recalled, remembering Jimmy’s request.

“Uhh... good morning," Avery greeted the others, still eating a breackfast that they hadn’t finished yet. "Was there a meeting of the minds going on that I wasn't informed of?

“Where exactly…?” Steven asked, looking around and realizing he was besides Cynthia now, who also looked skeptical about the situation. “What’s going on here?”

“Oh, hey everyone!” Jarena greeted them with a smile. “Glad you’re here! See, Jimmy came up with a brilliant plan. But we had to discuss it in secret.”

"Throw me under the bus why don't you" Jimmy chuckled scratching his head. "...but yeah we needed to discuss a plan with you both. Hopefully to catch or at least lure out this 'Karma' person." Jimmy told the two EX champions.

The plan was explained to the two in detail about what would need to be done. How everything would be handled.

“I take it this ‘Karma’ was involved in the press leak?” Cynthia asked, not at all sure about this plan.

Jarena pleaded her best to try and get the others to understand the plan. The plan to get them to all become Pokémon once again. Others may not have thought the plan would be for the best. Would it succeed in catching Karma? Most likely not, but something was needed to be done to help lure them out. At least cause a scene to capture their attention. Something to make this person stop, look again, and give themself away.

After figuring out their debt had been fixed through a wish from Jirachi. Cynthia gave the okay to them for enacting the plan. All on the fact that they didn't have one at all. That a plan enacted was better than no plan at all. Giving Jimmy the lead here that he and Sami were to be their escorts. Telling Jimmy to decide who else he needed for this mission.

Steven has his own set of goals. Needing to find records or something that can lead to anyone associated with Lance and his grunts. Anyone that associated with who he may have hired.

Jarena was just as happy to accept and tell them they would find everything they needed. That the plan WOULD work. They'd find whatever they needed. Steve wishes them good luck. While Cassandra and Violet were surprised this actually worked. They took a glance at Jirachi. Jirachi happily floats around the room in circles. Giving a cheer.

"Yaaay! We get to have fun! Fun fun with all our friends! Yaaaay! Hahaha!" Jirachi cheered and laughed.

Sami thought this must be the strangest cruise anyone has ever been on. Having been assigned to this team to go undercover.

“Hey, better than a boring cruise!” Jarena laughed. “But come on, this is important! Lives could be at stake! Maybe the whole League is in jeopardy now…”

"Couldn't have did it better myself! Sometimes to take action in the most unpredictable way is the best way. Plus it was fun being a Pokémon" Jimmy told Jarena. Giving her the thumbs up.

"You just wanna go back to being Cuddles don't you?" Jirachi pointed and laughed at Jimmy.

"I told you that was just a nickname Job gave me! They couldn't understand me while I was a Pokémon." Jimmy said crossing his arms while Jirachi continued to laugh at him.

Violet shrugged as she realized they were bound to be doing it again now. Jarena was eager to get to it though. Looking toward Jirachi.

Alyssa though otherwise though. Not wanting to help out with the plan as Jimmy had hoped.

"Well there goes our lead actor. If you're sure you don't wanna help..." Jimmy thought for a moment.

I thought we might need at least 2 to act as some of the ladies here. Sami. Would you be interested in posing as one of the ladies here? Avery what about you? Would you like to pose as a Pokémon here or as one of the Diamond ladies?" Jimmy asked them as he looked to Avery. "I know it's not the best situation, but I feel like some operatives posing as Diamond Ladies might help. Oh and don't worry. Jirachi will handle all the transformations and cosmetics to make everyone look their part. Before we get the transformations done. I want to make sure everyone has their role.

So Avery? Sami? Would you both like to play the roles of 2 of the Diamond Ladies? Someone has to.

Alyssa also explained that it'd raise questions if they weren't teleported back.

"Well I can handle that." Jimmy said as he released a Pokémon from one of his Pokeballs. Revealing his Grovyle. Telling his Grovyle a plan to take this note to the other safe house. Giving him a note Jimmy wrote that described he had them teleported using a psychic Pokémon. That Steven and Cynthia were also brought along to discuss a plan in private. After giving him the signal. Grovyle was off in a flash. Also instructed on where to meet them later. Pikachu would also meet with Grovyle. Since Jimmy would be a Pikachu too. It would be odd having 2 Pikachu in that group.

"That should settle that. We can't go having them reveal their Pokémon forms immediately either. If we were teleported back and seen walking out as Pokemon. Minus one Diamond lady or two. Something would seem equally fishy. Once ready. I'lol have Jirachi teleport each and every one of us to our destinations. It's just a matter of knowing who goes where and as who or what. Sami? Avery? Are you willing to pose as the Diamond Ladies? Alyssa. You sure you can't help our posing as a Diamond Lady? If we had all three I feel it'd work out better." Jimmy said. Hoping to figure out everything before he had Jirachi take action.

Jimmy tried to convince Alyssa otherwise but the plan just seemed too much like Pokemon Playtime with Jirachi. If Cassandra and Violet were okay with it, she couldn't stop them, but in Alyssa's eyes, this wasn't a plan to catch Karma. It was a plan to play around as Pokemon, show off Jirachi's powers, and possibly catch Karma.

"I just think it's not a solid idea. I can't stop you doing it, but I don't want to be involved." Alyssa explained, "Using Rotom to ping the GPS is brilliant. Beyond GPS, if this message is being sent via data, not cellular, the ship is big enough to need multiple wifi networks to span it, so we could probably narrow down the location quite well. It's the distraction and the dressups. It just seems unnecessary, and puts further potential slander on the Ladies. If this doesn't work, and Karma isn't caught, then what appears like more witchcraft give them unjust persecution."

"If you want to know what I honestly think, Jirachi did just go and deal with Violet's money problem, without being asked, because it was one of the reasons she originally was not for this idea. And now its out of the way. And in all honesty, if a B grade reporter sees holes in this plan, it is surprising that the Hoenn and Sinnoh Champs aren't as well. But they were one of the hurdles to this plan going ahead, and now..."

"What are you saying?" Steven asked.

"I'm not saying this out of anger or bitterness, just concern." Alyssa explained, "If Jirachi solved Violet's money bearaucracy problem without her even knowing, something that requires her requesting it, and signing off on it, because that was a reason to not use the plan, I am not 100% sure that you would okay this if Jirachi weren't involved..."

Steven remained silent.

"Let's trace the phone over the span of an hour or two." Alyssa explained, "Try and ping a few different locations out of it. Whilst that is happening, we will try and narrow down the possible operatives it could be by going through their files, and following them on security cameras. Unless they are clustered in one place, the first ping should narrow it down to two dozen or so, based on the number of operatives Jon told me were here, the size of the ship and the size of the area it pings. Do you have location tracking on their roomkeys?"

"We do..." Steven said, though still pondering what Alyssa had raised earlier.

"If you get a ping back from the location, we can cross reference with the room key tracking on the operatives and have them detained quietly. The ship doesn't dock until tomorrow so they are stuck here until then." Alyssa explained, "No need to put a bigger target on the Ladies back than there already is, and risk messing something up with one of us not being a convincing impersonator."

"Again, it's not my decision what you guys do, I just don't want it on my conscience if I stay silent, or go along with it and cause more trouble. If you go ahead with it, I will try and help Steven weed out this guy and the others." Alyssa explained, "I just think there are better ways than this..."

To say Avery was confused by everything currently going on was a bit of an understatement. Jimmy went over his plan, which had some nuggets of solid pieces to it, but overall was more than a little confusing for Avery. So many questions flashed through their mind as they watched Jimmy, the Champions, the Diamond Ladies, Jon, and Alyssa was interchange about the whole thing. And yet they had no time to ask any of them before Jimmy quickly spun on Avery somewhat insisting they play the role of one of the Diamond Ladies.

"Wait, hang on, I'm confused. So you want me to turn back into a Pokémon to pose as one of the Diamond Ladies? How would Karma know that this trio was actually the Ladies? And why do we need to run around as Pokémon anyway? Can't Rotom just track it remotely?"

Avery paused when Alyssa interjected, expanding upon the thought that Avery had had. It seemed they were reading similar sheets of music.

"I'm willing to help where I can, Jimmy, but I agree with Alyssa, I have some concerns."

The Diamond Ladies

The plan was… to say the least, not going according to plan. Alyssa continued to point out flaws that Jimmy’s plan had and from what Cassandra could tell, Jirachi might have been trying to influence the decision to what he wanted, not necessarily what was best. It was beginning to make Cassandra think maybe this wasn’t worth it after all, especially with the in-fighting that was starting to brew.

Alyssa had opted out of trying to disguise herself as Cassandra, and Cassandra knew that punched a hole in the plan. Jimmy had then turned to Sami and Avery instead. But after Alyssa went through the details with Steven again and Avery still remained confused as to what their role would be in all this, it was beginning to look like Jimmy’s plan might capsize.

Eventually, it was beginning to look like just tracing Cassandra’s phone might be the start, but in terms of the plan of action once the confirmation was made as to where it was coming from and who was responsible, it was anyone’s guess.

“Here you go,” Cassandra sighed, sliding her phone across the table to allow Rotom to trace it. “Trace away.”

“I swear…” Violet muttered, looking tired of the bickering. “I guarantee you it’s Nathan, but whatever. Go ahead and confirm it if you really need to.”

Meanwhile, Jarena was looking around, wondering if what she said had fallen on deaf ears. The possibility of another attack, not knowing who else was involved with the plan, it seemed like Jimmy’s plan, despite intentions to give it a second wind of consideration, weren’t quite working.

“And then what are we going to do?” Jarena asked. “What happened to taking action? Once we get that confirmation and figure out who these clowns are, what’s next? We’re gonna stop ‘em, right!?”

“Listen, Jarena,” Sami told her, looking skeptical again. “I like the part of Rotom tracing Cassandra’s phone and I think that might produce some good results, but I don’t get why Pokémon transformations are needed or why disguises are needed either. I mean let’s face it, I don’t really look like any of you, and neither does Avery or Alyssa.”

“Somebody needs to make up their damn mind, that’s what,” Violet replied as she sipped from her coffee cup before looking to Jarena with doubt. “Jarena, do you seriously think this plan cannot possibly work without people getting changed into Pokémon and disguises being worn, or are you all for this just to go Buneary again?”

“I…” Jarena tried to reply, looking a bit embarrassed, “Well… oh come on, it sounds cool and I still feel like it could work.”

“Truthfully now,” Cassandra told her, “Do you feel it’s the absolute best possible plan, or just the plan you think would be the most fun? Because I think you’re losing sight of why we’re doing this and just imagining the how it’s going to be done, even if the ‘how’ might be a total flop.”

Jarena couldn’t help but sigh again. In truth, Cassandra was right, the way Jimmy presented the idea sounded fun and thrilling to her, but she could see where the holes were when it came to being as practical as it could be. She knew she’d be lying if she really felt from a practical standpoint that this plan was solid.

“Ugh, yeah…” Jarena softly replied, looking away. “Fine, I know what you’re saying, but it could still work!”

“But it’s not the best plan,” Cassandra told her sincerely. “I agree with you, there’s some possibility ‘Karma’ and these other creeps Lance hired might be preparing for another attack and that should initiate some kind of preemptive counter response. What if they see through the disguises and what if the whole becoming Pokémon thing doesn’t work? Think you’d be able to break out of a Pokéball if you got caught in one? What if you can’t? You know what happens then.”

Jarena fell silent. The idea of her becoming some creep’s personal Pokémon really didn’t resonate with her very well.

“It would suck, yeah…” Jarena muttered in response, not looking too thrilled.

“That’s all we’re saying,” Cassandra told her. “It’s not to drive you over the edge or tell you no, you can never ever try being a Buneary again, but for this, it’s not the best idea.”

“But then what is?” Jarena asked her.

“First, we trace the phone, get the details we need,” Cassandra told her, thinking this needed to be handled in steps. “Once we know who is involved and where they are, then we can see what the best and most resourceful approach is. But I don’t think the disguises or transformations will be needed.”

Jarena sighed, but she nodded. While she admired Jirachi’s imaginative and playful love for just having fun, from a tactical and practical standpoint, it wasn’t the best fit. Meanwhile, what Cassandra told her was true, it wasn’t like she was never going to have her chance at enjoying being a Pokémon again. But in this situation, it could have heavy, unnecessary risks. She too, would have hated to see someone get hurt or captured when it could have been avoided with a plan that was more adapted to suit the conditions of the situation.

“Guess you’re right,” Jarena shrugged and sighed. “Sorry for being… a nutcase.”

“It’s alright, but yeah, it might even be better if we stay out of handling this directly,” Cassandra told her.

After that was said, she was still curious as to trying to figure out who “Karma” truly was, and while Violet had a point that it could be Nathan, it was possible that wasn’t the only thing going on from behind the scenes.

Alyssa didn't quite understand the reasonings behind what Jimmy explained. She went on to explain more. Even on how Jirachi handled Violet's money problem. Even giving her own plan a thought to everyone out loud.

Even Avery didn't quite understand what was going on or the plan.

"Wait, hang on, I'm confused. So you want me to turn back into a Pokémon to pose as one of the Diamond Ladies? How would Karma know that this trio was actually the Ladies? And why do we need to run around as Pokémon anyway? Can't Rotom just track it remotely?"

"See now there's more plans. Even that plan isn't without its holes. What if they plan on that kind a contingency? If they have access to seeing the ladies. Wouldn't them not being able to see them make them less vulnerable? They wouldn't be as eager to reveal themselves. If you were an operative and couldn't find your target. Would you keep yourself out in the open and vulnerable keeping yourself revealed and open to being caught? It's not a smart play. That's why the plan is essential to have the ladies here need to be open. Where we would have full eye contact at any angle and at all times." Jimmy stated aloud.

"...but to keep them safe. We have them play their role as Pokemon. While operatives disguised as them played their role to keep Karma on edge. That's why having them as Pokemon would be safer. To protect the operatives posing as the ladies and to protect themselves so they aren't out in the complete open. Unless you're telling me this room isn't totally safe and the plan is leaked once again. Jirachi handled anything that could make anything from this room leak out. Anything leaked earlier is wiped and anyone who was watching got a dose of a cartoon Ponyta and it's friends and magic and whatever. You get the point." Jimmy stated once again.

"Concerns are appreciated, but the longer we sit here and wait. The more likely Karma is to get away or be 5 maybe even 10 steps ahead of us. If there are concerns, let them be known."

"...stop it." Jirachi mumbled.

Jimmy turning to Jirachi. "What's wrong buddy? Everything okay?" Jirachi looked upset. Its eyes were close as he wasn't happy that no one seemed to be getting along. The plan was basically in shambles. The teams weren't happy with what was going on at all. It hurt Jirachi. Jirachi had begun to tear up a little.

"Whoa buddy, it's okay." Jimmy had begun to try and console his friend. But Jirachi just wasn't happy anymore. He'd seemed so happy before as everyone surrounding him he considered friends. Now, only a select few he seemed as strongly about being "friends." Jimmy still being his trainer he cared for the most.

"See you in a bit, Jimmy. Time for me to have some fun. I'll send Pikachu with you too." Jirachi said as he started smiling again. A little more impishly this time. He snapped his fingers and Jimmy started to glow in front of everyone before vanquishing in front together everyone. Jirachi let out a loud carefree sigh before looking to everyone else in the room.

"No one leaves this room without MY permission." Jirachi said with a snap of his fingers. Putting the room's lock and key under his control. Now...whose next?" Jirachi said before floating around rapidly. Stopping in front of the ladies. "Ladies first as some humans I've heard say. How about you?" Jirachi said looking happier than ever now that he was about to take action for himself. Since no one else would.

Jimmy appeared in a place he didn't recognize. It was slightly dark except for some light creeping through. It seemed he was in a bush? He crawled his way out and noticed he was much smaller in size. There were many toys for kids and Pokémon alike. He was in the Pokémon area. Where smaller Pokémon were kept to play with the kids. Looking to himself. He had been turned into a Pikachu.

"Nooo Jirachi what are you doing?" Jimmy thought. He gripped his chest where his pendant was...or should have been. Except it wasn't there. "Jirachi must have taken it. Jimmy thought. "Didn't want me turning back so quickly. He really wants his playtime I guess, but I have to step up as his trainer!" Before Jimmy could get moving. A group of kids stepped in front of him gawking.

"Awww he's so cute!" The little girl picks him up. The group begin to pet and want to play with him. "Come on Pikachu! Let's go play! One said.

"Pika. Pika pika pika CHU!" (Hey hey hey, no you gotta let me go!). Jimmy said squirming trying to get away. Knowing there were much more pressing matters. He couldn't hurt the kids though in the process.

Everything happened in a flash.

As Alyssa, Sami, and the Diamond Ladies began to question Jirachi's plan, it seemed everyone was in agreement that the plan itself was inherently flawed and they needed to come up with a better one. Jimmy, however, wasn't too keen on this, still deadset on using his plan. As he tried to address Avery's concerns, it only left Avery with more questions. Still it was starting to make some sense. They opened their mouth to ask something else when Jirachi spoke up.

All eyes turned to the wishmaker as tears welled in his eyes. Avery grimaced a little. They hadn't intended to hurt Jirachi's feelings, but they felt clarification was needed given they had missed half the conversation leading up to this point. Still, Jirachi had definitely not taken it well.

"See you in a bit, Jimmy. Time for me to have some fun. I'll send Pikachu with you too." Jirachi said as he started smiling again. A little more impishly this time. He snapped his fingers and Jimmy started to glow in front of everyone before vanquishing in front together everyone. Jirachi let out a loud carefree sigh before looking to everyone else in the room.

Avery's blood ran cold and their hand instinctively went to their belt, resting on Daybreak's Pokéball. A Wishmaker gone rogue was the last thing they needed right now. But a battle in this type of confined space wasn't exactly ideal either.

"No one leaves this room without MY permission." Jirachi said with a snap of his fingers. Putting the room's lock and key under his control. "Now...whose next?" Jirachi said before floating around rapidly. Stopping in front of the ladies. "Ladies first as some humans I've heard say. How about you?" Jirachi said looking happier than ever now that he was about to take action for himself. Since no one else would.

"You're going to forcefully turn us back into Pokémon?" Avery snapped. Their hands were shaking in a mix of anger and nerves. They wanted to help with the plan, yes, and they had enjoyed their time as a Pokémon, sure. But turning back into a Buizel was the last thing they wanted right now. They couldn't, they wouldn't. Jirachi couldn't make them!

"What makes you think you can force us to do that? I get you're just trying to help but forcing people to cooperate isn't the way to go about this," Avery said, practically shouting now. "We can discuss this. We can lay out a better plan. It doesn't have to resort to this." Their grip tightened on the coffee cup and bag in their right hand. "I wi...." they stopped themselves. They had to be careful. This was a wishmaker gone rogue. Careless wording could very easily backfire. And now was no time for wishes, since there was no guarantee Jirachi would grant them anyway.

"This isn't something a friend would do, Jirachi," Avery added, "You wanted us to be friends, right? This isn't what friends do. This is what enemies do. A-And if you do this, I will try to protect myself from you, do you understand?"

Ozona really hadn't been out much, she was honestly unsure of what to do. She was unaware of all the commotion on the ship, so she was quietly observing and watching her Cincinno's fur as she loved it to be in shape. The last time she had gotten it dirty was when being hit by a Mud Shot in the PML, and she totally went ballistic on the Seismetoad which used the move that day. It was a memory Ozona didn't like to think about all too much.

I do not consent to my characters being changed to Pokemon. I signed up okay with Neo doing it because it's his story and if he chooses that it is a bigger picture thing. I didn't sign up for a PC to indirectly get God Powers and be able to make those decisions.


"S***" Alyssa thought to herself as it became apparent Jirachi was going to do whatever it took to make Jimmy's plan happen, and if her concerns were accurate regarding Steven and Cynthia, her free will was now a fleeting concept. She had to act.

Whilst Avery attempted to argue with the deranged Mythical Pokemon, Alyssa's watch buzzed as a call from Jon came through. She quickly declined it, before tapping a Pokeball on her belt.

There was a flash of light as Carbon the Ditto materialized. His imposter ability kicked in, almost instantly transforming into Jirachi.

When her and Jon started dating and he found out she had a Ditto, he had asked to borrow it to do some experiments. What he was really testing was how much like the original Ditto could be, having it transform into his Latios and using moves and abilities only possessed by Latios. To his surprise,* Ditto was able to use Luster Purge, harness the energy of the Soul Dew, turn invisible and even sight share, with the only drawback being how long Ditto could use these abilities and maintain the form. But if this worked with Jirachi...

"I wish for Jirachi to go to sleep for a while..." Alyssa said...

As Luneth trailed the Diamond Ladies, she eventually caught sight of her real target again. Jirachi was still with them, along with a guy with the spiky hair who was likely the mythical pokemon’s trainer. However, she just as quickly lost them again, rounding a corner to see a row of doorways but no idea which room they had entered.

Ok, Luneth though, I know they went this way, so they must have gone into one of these rooms to speak privately. Probably one with extra soundproofing or something.
Either way, Luneth knew that she wasn’t going to be able to get in, so she’d have to wait for Jirachi to come back out instead.

After a few minutes of waiting however, Luneth’s mind started to wander. She was not built for stakeouts, nothing happening for potentially hours on end.
As she pondered how to stay focused, a thought occurred to her. It didn’t necessarily have to be herself doing the stakeout.

She reached to her pokeballs and released her Ditto, who upon seeing Glimmer floating nearby quickly took on the Shaymin’s shape.
“Flan, I need you to stay watch while I’m not here. In one of these rooms there’s a Jirachi, when they come out of one of these doors, I need you to talk to them, and try and convince them to meet up with me. Tell them I’ll be in…” Luneth paused for a moment. She was going to say the battle arena, but she vaguely remember hearing that it was off limits to non-competitors on the day of the finals. “Central park,” she decided. “I’ll be waiting in central park. If you can’t get theme there, then come get me and show me where they went.”
The Ditto/Shaymin nodded an ok, then turned to stare intently down the hallway.

“Thanks, you’re the best Flan.” She said, before beginning to retrace her steps back to the park.
