Sweet mother of mercy, Chris is an absolute train wreck. At this point, heck, I’d even recommend therapy for the guy, because this just goes from bad to worse to abysmal. That and he really needs to avoid letting alcoholism become a nasty habit, because boy, I’ve seen that easily ruin lives.
Moreover, it was kind of disheartening to see what was supposed to be a second chance reunion night go completely to hell like that again. And I feel Charlotte’s right, if he keeps doing this, he’s going to find himself alone and next time, he may never get an answer to his calls. At this point, he definitely needs some major soul searching and something that gives him a solid reason to live and set the past behind him. He’s got to choose between his stubborn pride and his friends and I definitely hope to see he chooses his friends. That and he really needs to let go of what went down between himself and Dylan because otherwise it’ll always be a vicious circle and it always seems like Chris ends up as the loser in the end. It’s the kind of situation where you don’t want to see Chris get hurt, but he needs to humble himself, quit making excuses, and pull himself back together. But I have a feeling it’s the kind of thing where he’s only going to come to this realization after hitting his absolute lowest point and realize he had something good and worth holding onto when he’s picking up the pieces. I’d have to say the situation bears some resemblance to what Cassandra had to face back on the S.S. Wishmaker.
Offhand, I enjoyed Spiritwater Episode 1 and it’s awesome to see the gang getting back together. And you did a great job setting up the backstory for Jon and the interns getting geared up and ready for the mission.
And this…
“It’s nice to meet you Lili,” Cassandra said, trying to sound friendly and welcoming, and holding out a hand. “We’ve known your mum and dad since before you were born…”
"Latios too?" Amelia asked, unable to hide the curiosity in her voice, as she cautiously took it.
"Latios especially…" Violet answered, forcing the dryness from her tone so as to not potentially have Amelia think she disliked her. Jarena choked back a laugh at the statement.
Thanks for the laugh, I could easily say this is one of my favorite lines! One of these days Amelia will learn and find out what Violet meant by that! xD
Definitely eager to see more and awesome job keeping the Diamond Ladies true to their characters!
