The Queen of Shaymin

Given I don't have a car I'd probably have to look into a train or perhaps flying if I really wanted to do that, which would be out of my budget regardless at the moment. Still something to keep in mind for the future since I love medieval swordplay.

OMG, I would totally be game for that, but I know for me it would be pretty easy. For some other people, it would mean having to get on a plane and work out accommodations and expenses. But for those that are willing, hey, I'm game anytime.
But yeah, the last few times I've only gone by myself. Not quite as fun, but it does give me the freedom to see and do exactly what I want and when I want without having to discuss it and decide with other people, but still... it's more fun with friends along.
Definitely looking forward to going this year. I usually go like twice a year (it's impossible to see every show in one day as multiple shows go on at different stages at different times of the day). Also, you see some pretty impressive costumes that other people have. For me, the faerie costume works so dang well because I can go light on the clothing, people LOVE it (I get pulled into so many group pictures!), and the inflatable butterfly wings have a fan to power them, which helps keep me cool in the summer heat. Plus it allows me to be mischievous and silly. Total win. XD
One "joke" I've wanted to play is bring some glitter along, and use it on some people and say "here's some magic faerie dust! It will give you the power to fly! Unless I've been drinking too much. If I've been drinking too much, it's not going to do anything at all." XD

Yeah, unfortunately, they don't have it in winter. Best they can do is they have a Halloween thing once Renaissance Faire concludes for the season, but I've gone to it and it's okay, but it's pretty small and it's really just like one walk through a haunted house thing and then a stunt show and that's pretty much it.
My brother might come up with me for a visit up there. I need to convince him to get into costume, too. But yeah, it's kind of like an anime/comic con, just fantasy/medieval stuff. It's easy to be silly, too. XD

Yeah, already it's been pretty hot and I haven't been enjoying it. I also think my allergies are back. Bleh, might be because of sticking indoors throughout most of 2020.

It's heating up here too and my allergies are horrendous. Bleh not enjoying that latter part. The heat though, love that.

I missed a topic! I love Renaissance fairs!
I had the time of my life a few years ago when I went to a weekend long camping event and there was a war and dancing and a tavern and campfire bardic times, merchants, workshops, swimming in the river and having big theatrical courts with the king and queen and stuff!
I know there are huge wars in the US, called like, Pennsic or something? But I guess it's more historical reenactment rather than like fantasy with fairies n stuff? I'm not totally sure.
Ah, it's getting colder here and I'm so happy to sleep long hours in my big fluffy pjamas wheeee~
Summer sucks, my condolences.
