My dad and I thought the same. A big place like NEW YORK CITY and the Olive Garden there only able to give one breadstick per person was crazy. I mean you could ask for more, but by the time they'd bring you "one" more your food would be cold. Made no sense.

They even got our food wrong when we told them word for word that he and I split one meal usually. They brought two and charged two. Needless to say we complained, they didn't charge us, and we left. At least Red Lobster went over better xD.

We were told it was a 2 hour wait there. Went over to the bar and saw an open table. Sat down and a waiter came over and took our pager and we got a good meal.

I loved NYC when I went, but I really wonder how things are now. I've heard not good.

My family and I used to visit NYC a bunch too but we haven't in almost a decade. I remember use having a restaurant disaster like that too and I wonder if it was the same Olive Garden hahaha. It's been so long I can't remember though.

Man I wish I had been able to visit NYC more. I've only been once though. Still glad I got to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in person.

I’d love to go visit again in the future. It’s been so long but the last time I was there I caught pneumonia so I probably won’t go during January again like my family and I used to haha

Personally it's those cold months I'd love to. But you all know me like that by now xD. I much prefer the cold anyway. Feels better for being able to explore around the city. Rather than sweating to death outside. Maybe one day, but probably won't be anytime soon seeing NYC again at least.

I mean I definitely wouldn't go during like the summer months that's just asking for trouble. Sometime like April or October I think would be ideal for me. Not too hot and not too cold.

I haven't been to NYC since COVID, but yeah, it's taken a tumble in terms of crime, homelessness, and crime. And a lot of the reasons why we went before (mainly Broadway shows) have been canceled, so I haven't really been itching to go back.
