I personally LOVE Snap, even if I need to look up most things to do. Mostly because I had fallen in love with New Snap the moment it was announced, yet only got my hands on it last year.
And I'm still only mildly terrifed of Founja Jungle at night and the Lental Seafloor stage. Beautifly and Golisopod are surprisingly capable of jumpscares if you don't know to expect them.

I love New Snap mostly because most of my favorites are in it. :p

The overall appeal of this one was so great. I loved it! XD

Oh yeah, I love Flygon's appearance in New Snap, so I get how you feel.

I did enjoy the fact Emolga appears literally within the first five minutes of the game. And yeah, a bunch of my other favorites are in there, too.

I'll admit it is kind of funny to bonk them with the fruit (I forget the name xD) to see their reaction and then take a photo of the aftermath. xD

I had to work towards mine xD. A few Pikachu appearance with additional others later on. But it was fine and soooooo worth it!

I wonder how things would go if we did a weekly Snapshot challenge. To see who can get the best picture in New Snap of "X" Pokémon....

Might be interesting... but only if we had more participants around. Also, I'll admit it's been a while since I fired it up.

Heck, I don't even think I've played my Switch at all in 2022 yet. :P

Yeah same here. Would've thought we would have more maps released with how they had an update a few months later. Adding in a few maps. More Pokémon and some new maps (even if new versions of the older maps) would be incredible to see! Especially just how they might have evolved since. Could be Todd's "training" courses.

I feel like Snap might have been more fun if... it wasn't so strictly on a rail. Or have a combination of both. A few on the current rail setup, but then a mode where you can pilot the NEO-ONE yourself and both explore a larger map and go on your own little picture-taking safari wherever you please. A nice extra would have been to have more control over the camera zoom and tweak it to amounts between no zoom and what I feel is a pretty close zoom-in.

But yeah, the maps are good fun the first time you run through them. But by the time you get to the third and fourth run, you know of all the scripted encounters and it doesn't have the fun surprise anymore. Even on the alternate variants, honestly not all that much changes.

I want at least a way to backtrack or to redo something real quick. Doing one step wrong in a multi-step task can be demotivating to play the round to the end.

Yeah I hate how quick and precise you have to be to get the special snapshot for some to get the 4 star shot. Like Jirachi for example. You have to be so fast on the first shot. It'll fly off, then right near the end portal it comes back and you need to hit it with specific items, and get it to do the pose. It's tough, but I've got it a few times. It's just challenging to do it and get a good shot before it automatically stops you and you're just wisked away.
