So, another question: Do items work in babymaker battles? If so then I'll also buy and use a Cheaty Cookie, Brass Balls, and a Mysterious Halo (Mudsdale)
You’re totally clear on MacGyver, Cheaty Cookie, Brass Balls, and Mysterious Halo! Those items work just fine in Babymaker battles. Dang, you totally don’t want to lose Dragapult, do you? ;P

Yeah, because of the way Babymaker works (and the fact you can’t use it on someone that already has Second Wind and/or Mighty Shield), you can’t activate a Mighty Shield in response to being pulled into a Babymaker duel because that really messes things up if the person who wins can’t use the “leave ‘em as a baby” effect.

Also... I think it's time for a shopping spree.
    Spoiler:
Hopefully I'm doing this right, but let's buy me a Compensator power (Via Coins) and add the following:
    Mareep > Flaaffy > Ampharos
Sheep power! Let's also upgrade Wheel Master (W/ EXP) for the kick of it.
This should leave me with 1 EXP and 10 Coins if my Palpitoad Vigoroth brain did the math right.
Yeah, he’s kind of a downer to have around. :P

And sure, we can do that!

Does this include the three stages that level 1 already gave you? So, if you upgrade from level 1 to level 2, do you get one additional stage, or four additional stages?
It’s four MORE stages, so that means four additional stages to work with! So you could add something like Shaymin (1) and Cyndaquil > Quilava > Typhlosion (3) if you fancy having those! It doesn’t matter what you added from Level 1. C:
