Cheaty Cookie is the Kryptonite of ghost and steel types. This is actually the very reason it was invented and put into the game as ghost and steel types completely dominated DBR1 and were severely broken due to the sheer number of normal type moves that get flung around, so we needed a solid counter to them for DRB2, or else it was going to happen all over again. Fire a Cheaty Cookie up and trust me, you'll see the magic unfold! Using the Smart Cookie Superpower is also an alternative to avoid pounding yourself in with self-destructs. Dueling Glove was also added as yet another option in case you'd rather battle someone relatively safer that isn't steel or ghost, or you'd rather have those seemingly unstoppable juggernauts battle each other and whittle each other down. *coughnoblevsshruikancough*

Otherwise you're kind of just relying on luck and the hopes you don't get paired with them in the battles to come or you happen to land the one or two moves they're weak against, which is a longshot chance. People have won against Noble before while she is a Mega Mawile, but they didn't choose to devolve her, they went with other options.
