PXR WAR Season 1 Discussion

July seems pretty late. When I was a WAR leader for WAR XI, we started in late June. Is there a specific date in July you have in mind? Are we starting early-July or mid-July? O: Am I asking questions that can't yet been answered? xD

Would anyone be willing to consider a draft this year? Although I know people enjoy being on teams with their friends, I've found that the draft usually makes for a more competitive WAR.

After discussing on aim a draft seems a great way to keep teams balanced and encourage comeradery between urpgers and pxr people!

I think I'm familiar with the term drafting, but I'm pretty sure that WAR this year is sticking to the ol' roots of Team WAR. Since teams and sign ups are already made and what not.

Also @Bulbasaur I can't see why music can't be included if there is enough interest for it. But we'd need a good concentration of people first. XD

If I recall, at least once or twice in the past years, Team sign ups would work like that for a draft year, just to be select which teams people wanted to be included in the WAR. Then, they would pull everyone from all the teams (except maybe one or two members chosen by the leader) and would be entered in to the draft pool. Draft is totally compatible with the current set up.

Anyway, as WAR is being rebooted to give it new life, and as I said before, right now we're sticking to, as Rust put it: 'the most vanilla WAR' and keeping it mostly to the roots of ye ol' WAR days. We're trying to keep it simple to garner the most attention and people we can and make it appealing for everyone. We aren't PE2K, so we've got more we need to do so we can get the attention of everyone from all ages, new and old.

People are having a bit of a hard time as it is picking teams as it is, having them switched around after finally picking seems a bit unfair to their freedom of choice, in my opinion. I'm fairly certain that the majority of the leaders are set on old fashioned Team WAR. [Either of the leaders can confirm or deny this statement, I don't like to speak for people without knowing for sure.]

If people wanted to be in a draft pool of their own choice though as a separate entity, to me, that seems fine as it's own regard while leaving open the choice for anyone else to pick and stay with the team they chose.

Dates and sections will be announced quite soon actually. It's just a matter of us getting things posted in the proper places and making sure it's seen. A list of WAR sections has been made, and again, will be posted soon. Since we have a lot of PokeStadium members who migrated here in a similar fashion to PE2K members migrating here, I, though I think I can say the same for at least @Shadow Tracker Max, *summons* want to make sure that even they can join without confusion or intimidation from 'ack I dunno what this is I'ma get flattened by all the people who do I can't join ack', even if they're never touched WAR.

EDIT: Or Dredd can ninja my post too. Sneaky little bugger. XD
