Arriving at the Pokemon Center was a relief for Orion. He healed his Ivysaur and transfered his newly caught Nidoran to the team

Orion was astonished by all these people showing up. He truly couldn't care less who they were. He thought they were suppose to be on an important mission. A mission that couldn't wait. Truth be told, he didn't like the idea of being surrounded by so many people. People are deceptive, especially Pokemon trainers and he already had enough troubles trusting Max and Zenith as it was.

"Are you guys planing on having a tea party or what?" Orion asked sarcastically. Mt. Moon was just around the corner and he couldn't wait to explore the caverns. He had heard from a trainer back in Pewter City that you could catch Zubats there. He was anxious to get his had on one.

Sou nodded. ”Thats good. Wouldn’t want to just blow past this adventure. I guess there’s always the next one, but as my first, I want to try and remember every waking moment!” she exclaimed as she followed after Max and the group to the pokemon center closest to Mt. Moon. Her pokemon were still pretty well off, but she still used its services to make sure her partners were in tiptop shape in case anything happened. ”A mission to recover a key. An artifact they said. I guess, you can’t be -too- careful right? she thought as Max took the chance to introduce her to yet another trainer named Orion. Together it would be a group of 5 trainers, surely that would be more then enough to find this key. In fact it might even be overkill. Even still, it never hurt to be too prepared for anything. She then looked over towards Zenith and then Ethan as Max gestured towards them, mentioning they were also invited to this region for the Champion’s Tournament. Max also mentioned he had started his journey over here for the same thing. ”Started over? I guess that explains his experience and knowledge on pokemon a bit. He did also say he was a famous trainer. I wonder what kind of things they say about him in his region…? well… no point in thinking about it. she thought, smiling a bit as she turned her focus to Orion.

Sou clapped her hands together. ”You know, a tea party sounds rather great right now! I’d love to join, well, maybe after mission you guys were going to do.” she said, completely missing the sarcasm in his voice when he made the statement. She was about to go back to the counter to receive her pokemon from nurse joy when Zenith walked over, presumably to start some small talk. She smiled as Zenith mentioned she was from Lumiose City in Kalos, the same region she was from! ”Wow! You were really born in Kalos too? and Lumiose City?! I heard that page is huggggeeee! Is it true that its like a whole country on its own? That at night it lights up like the stars and all kinds of stores line the streets?” she asked excitably, practically forgetting to answer the question. ”whoops!” she laughed as she composed herself better. ”I got…a little bit too excited there. I’ve always wanted to go see Lumiose City! But I was born in Laverre City in the Kalos region as well, though my family lived on the outskirts rather then in the city.” she said as she turned just slightly to take her poke balls from Nurse Joy, placing them along her own belt.

The team arrived at the Pokemon Center. Orion's impatiences made him a little tough to hard to respond to.
"Orion, we have a mission, we did not forget the mission. However if we are going to be charging in head first to take on unknown situation we need to be prepared. So give us a second to prepare and will be ready to go." Max walked away heading to the phones

He sat down at the phone.
"Collect call to Birch" He said picking up the phone

Birch appeared on the screen.

"Hey old man." Max joked
" Hows Hoenn? Any young trainers in need of a but kicking."

Birch looked at the monitar.
"Hows my second favorite trainer Max? It has been pretty busy here I had to hire a new assistant. Her name is Emma Andersen . She is a very talented researcher..kind of a goof though. She has been assisting May on this new Mega Evolution research. So things are going okay! Is this about the upgrade device. I was told that devon sent the device to some kind of brainiac that works out of lavender town. Hopefully it will be ready by the time you get there. Is there anything I can send you form whats left of your pokemon you have here.. I know you set a lot of them free."

"Yeah I was getting kind of sentimental and started to miss Furball. Can you transfer her to the Cerulean City?"

"Yes I can.. a couple of them have been getting ansty so be on the look out. Ill also go ahead send a care package their with some of the stuff you left behind. Seeya Max.!!!" The screen turned off.

"Yeah, I'm Ethan." I said, slightly confused. The man put a clipboard with a pen tied to it in front of me, beckoning me to sign it. I signed the space and he handed me a medium sized box.

I walked over to the others, slightly confused. Who had sent me a package?

"Guys, check this out. Not sure what it is. Some delivery dude just gave it to me." I said, opening the box. Inside was something I remembered. A Dusk Stone and a Pokeball, which I was certain had Murkrow in it.

I took the pokeball, and pressed the button. Murkrow emerged, and flew in the air, before landing in my head. Underneath the dusk stone was a note.

"Maybe hide anything shiny." I said, remembering Murkrow taking my Chrome Plated laptop.

I read the note.

Ethan, you might want to stop screening your mothers calls. She was calling to say that she was going to start throwing out your stuff until you came back and went back to University. Personally, it is your choice if you want to take some time off, but we both know she isn't going to listen to me. Anyway, I managed to save these, and will try and save some more of your stuff. Enjoy your trip. Dad.

I remembered when him and mum split up. Dad was always much more relaxed.

Zenith glowered at Orion with his snide remark about if they were going to have a tea party. She was very close to slugging him, but did her best to resist the urge. She decided to focus on Sou and their conversation.

"Wow, you're from Kalos too? Amazing!" Zenith said, smiling. "And yes, Lumiose is gigantic! It really is like its own country! At night the countless thousands of lights look like stars in the sky! It's gorgeous! As for shops, there're tons of them! There are cafes at just about every corner, a Poke Ball store, three Pokemon Centers, an evolution stone store, and the Lumiose Gym is inside the Prism Tower, which overlooks the entire city! It's an amazing view!"

Zenith was happy to be traveling with another person from Kalos. It made her feel less homesick. She hadn't realized it until now, but she was starting to miss her parents and little brother. Maybe once things had settled, she would call home to tell them how she was doing.

Sou smiled as Zenith excitably responded to her and her questions relating to Lumiose. It sounded exactly like she had read and tried envisioning in her mind. What a wondrous place it sounded like! She just had to go there one day, possibly in her next adventure even, not that this one was even close to over. As she listened, she gasped at the mention of a gym there. ”Lumiose has a gym too?! No way! Its even more amazing then I thought! Cafe’s and 3 pokemon centers?! I really, really have to check such a wondrous place out! It sounds like the stuff of dreams! she exclaimed with a smile. While she had certainly talked to other people before, never had it been this exciting and new. The people she knew prior to this all came from the same city, so there wasn’t much she didn’t already know when she found herself in conversation. There was something exciting and fun hearing someone enthusiastically talk about their hometown, and to have such a big one at that, she had to wonder what kind of experiences she had growing up. Her own experiences were tied mostly to her family and the center, so in retrospect, talking about her experiences might seem to be boring to other people. She didn't mind though as she threw her arms behind her back, clasping her hands together.

”mmmm….What was it like living in such a magical place? Did you ever get lost?” she asked curiously. Zenith seemed to be quite an interesting girl, and Sou wanted to learn a bit more about her. The only way to do that of course was through conversation! They were going to be leaving for that mission really soon, but no one really said what was going to happen when it ended. Was this group only together for this one mission and then would split apart afterwards? She hadn’t thought about it until now, that this situation may not be entirely permanent. She had been so excited about the idea of adventuring with a group of friends, she never thought to ask. ”….mmm...well there's no point in thinking about it now, I’ll just enjoy what time I stay in this group and get to know these people for now” she thought, a wide smile on her face as she looked in Zenith’s direction.

Max traded in his three fully evolved pokemon. He wanted to test all the pokemon in this region to get a feeling for what combos worked best. Once he done. He gathered up the other trainers and they continued on their way. As they walked up to the entrance. Max pulled out the flashlight just in case. To his surprise the lighting that lined the walls worked well enough to see. The cave itself was a bit damp but the air felt unusual fresh.

"Lets try not to make to much noise..These caves are packed with Zubat.." He said with a smile keeping his voice a little low.

It seemed it had been time to move on, as Max had them gather and head to the entrance of the cave nearby. They believed that the missing artifact, a key, was taken into here, but it also connected pewter to the next city she would have been traveling too had she not bumped into this bunch. Not that there was any kind of rush anyway. As they came to the entrance of the cave, Sou peeked around as Max turned on the a flashlight. She assumed that meant it was going to be dark, but it just so happened there was enough light inside of the cave for them to navigate without it, not that having a little extra hurt anyone. The cave itself though, felt a bit damp, the air a little fresher then she imagined being inside a cave, both the direct opposite of what she thought it would be like. She looked around the surrounding area from where they walked when Max made the mention that caves like these were packed with Zubat. ”Zubat?….I think I saw one of them in a book once. Aside from the general bat like appearance….I don’t really remember what they look like..” she pondered, nodding in Max’s direction. Though he said for them not to make much noise, she took that to mean not to make any if possible, walking lightly as they traveled.

sploosh was the sound Sou heard as her right foot hit a small puddle of water. ”whoops…sorry” she muttered with a nervous look as she then shook any excess water off of her boots. She had been paying more attention to the general direction and the cave itself rather then where exactly where she was walking.

As she shook off the water. She noticed something poking its head out further up the path. The pink outline was that of the pokemon she had been playing with. It seems that the pokemon had decided it wasnt done playing. Before she could point it out to the others who had not seen it yet it disappeared again.

”Lumiose has a gym too?! No way! It's even more amazing then I thought! Cafe’s and three pokemon centers?! I really, really have to check such a wondrous place out! It sounds like the stuff of dreams!" Sou exclaimed with a smile. She seemed extremely excited to hear about Lumiose, which Zenith sort of expected. After all, Lumiose was quite literally the heart of Kalos, being located literally smack-dab in the center of the region, and being the largest center for commerce in the region.

”Mmmm….What was it like living in such a magical place? Did you ever get lost?” Sou then asked curiously.

Zenith paused at the question. While a lot of her life in Lumiose had been happy, there had been a lot of strife due to the bullying she had suffered after her psychic powers had awoken. She knew she couldn't cover it up for long, so she decided to explain it outright.

Just then, Max called everyone together, and they all headed into Mount Moon. Zenith decided to explain along the way through the cave.

"Well, my life in Lumiose was pretty great," Zenith began. "I went to the Lumiose Pokemon Academy to learn what I needed to become a trainer, and I also got some hand-on experience with pokemon because my dad is a famous trainer in Kalos. We also live near Professor Sycamore's laboratory, so a lot of times I'd go there after school to play with the pokemon that lived there. Professor Sycamore would answer any questions I had, and would sometimes help me with my homework if I needed it. But then... things happened when I was ten. One day, I woke up with the worst migraine in the world. Suddenly, various things in my room began to fly around. My mom instantly realized that my psychic powers had awoken, and she called her mom to come over, since she was a psychic herself. My maternal grandmother, Raena, had to seal my powers, and over the years, she's unlocked it little by little so I can learn how to control them. It hasn't been easy for me since... The day I went back to school, my powers flared for a moment during a game of kickball... the kids freaked out, and that's when the bullying started... It went on for a year, and it was relentless... eventually the kids were all punished, but it didn't' matter. My parents pulled me out of the academy, and I had to finish my schooling at home. Ever since then, I've pretty much avoided others, and I can't stand bullies."

Zenith blinked, realizing the rant she had gone on. She was never usually this talkative to strangers, much less others around her age, so she found it odd that she found Sou easy to talk to. She figured it was due to her being from Kalos as well, and being approachable. Maybe her parents had been right; maybe it was a good thing to go on this group journey to try and make friends.

"Sorry about the ranting sob-story," Zenith said, scratching the back of her head. "I've just never had much conversations with others because I tend to avoid them, like I said."

Zenith had no idea how Sou would react to hearing her having psychic powers. It was always a mystery; some shrugged it off, while others got scared and angry. She hoped that Sou would be one of those among the former.

Zenith looked around as they walked through the tunnel, keeping an eye out for anything. She shuddered at the mention of Zubats by Max. "Ugh, Zubats are so annoying...." she muttered.
