Before they could make a move, some of the Clefable walked over to them. Max quieted down the Cefable before they could alert Team Rocket.

Zenith smiled widely. "So you guys want to help out, huh? Alright, sounds good to me," she said. She then took Qeb's Poke Ball off of her belt and turned to Max, nodding to let him know she was ready.

Sou nodded as Max said they’d start their attack on the count of three, jumping out into view of Veronica and whatever grunts there were. She stood bit behind Max as he began to applaud, which Sou thought was a little weird at first. It managed to catch their attention though, Max mentioning something about the real trainers taking over and showing them what the key was for. She felt a little uncertain, but they could worry about that later, it was probably nothing more then words to get Veronica heated up. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind as Veronica sent her Gengar out to battle them. ”Let’s go Ria!” she called as she tossed out her tired Wartortle’s poke ball. From the looks of things, out of her own pokemon, Only Ria and Arrow would be able to put any kind of damage. The Clefable would certainly allow her to put out at least a little bit. Sorry we can’t do more then this….Ria! use water gun!” she called.

By herself, she wasn’t able to take out Gengar, that she knew, but she had at least put a lot of damage into it thanks to the Clefable at her side. Normally, a pokemon like this wouldn’t pay her much mind, but because it was volunteering to help take back its home, it probably let it slide this time. It was only temporary after all. ”Thanks Clefable” she said as she tried to comfort the one who had joined up with her, the Gengar had done a number on it. Max and Zenith could finish this up for sure!

Zenith watched as Sou and Ethan managed to take out the Gengar. She was relieved, however, she had a nagging feeling that something was wrong. She gripped Qeb's Poke Ball tight, ready to throw it at any moment in case something happened.

With Gengar down the grunt got up running off.

Veronica huffed and puffed.
"How, how how !!!" She screamed

"Have you ever won a league championship?" Max said throwing her off.
She stopped for a moment. Max quickly cut her off.

"Didnt think so...champ in the making.. Well I have it was through much smarter than trainers than you...Clefable ....lets send her on her way.."



The Clefable lit up its hands bouncing back and forth. After it was done Veronica was asleep on the ground. Max walked over to the door pausing. The door looked to have acient carving in it. Before Ethan could warn him Max reached for the key to remove it. As his hands connected with the key a bright blue light spread throughout the tunnel. the light was so strong and so bright he busted out the cracks of Mt. Moon. Max called out in pain as the key seem to freeze his hand to it temporarily. The edges of the door began to crumble.

The distrubance could be felt throughout the cave.

As the door opened a wave of energy came out with it. Outside the nights weathered turned from calm to violent.



Max fell to his knees.
"Lila help.. get me off of this.." He said calling for help.

Sou smiled as the Gengar went down. ”We did it..!” she thought, breathing a sigh of relief as the grunt near Veronica got up before running off. Veronica seemed to be having her own little temper-tantrum, screaming loudly after she had watched her Gengar fall to the Clefable. Max seemed to confront Veronica, waving its fingers before they began to glow as Max mentioned something about a champ in the making. Honestly, she didn’t really catch what he said as she was a bit distracted trying to help the Clefable that battled by her side. ”You okay Clefable…?” she asked it. As she was tending to the Clefable she heard what sounded like Max calling oout in what sounded like pain, turning to see a bright blue light before it spread through the tunnel. She instinctively closed her eyes from the bright light as Max continued to call out, opening her right eye just enough to make out where she and everyone generally was. The door Max was near began to crumble, a wave of energy coming through the cracks as Max fell to his knees. It sounded like he was calling one of his pokemon to get something off of him. It was about then she looked up.

Max’s hand was around something. Was it the key they came searching for? She inched a bit closer over to see that his hand appeared to be frozen to the key inside of the slot. It didn’t look good and whatever was going on outside didn’t sound good. Sou frowned, she didn’t have anything to help break or melt the ice. Even if her pokemon had been healed, they didnt know any fire type moves . Then that means he had been calling his chameleon Lila from before to possibly melt it away when she remembered, Max wasn’t the only one with a fire type here. Sou looked to Ethan. ”Hey! Ethan! I think…if your chameleon is able..you might be able to help Max too!” she called before looking to Zenith, she didnt have fire types either the last she checked. ”ah…if only mom’s Talonflame was here…” she found herself whispering.

With the help of Cynder and Lila Max was able to break free of the Key which was now permanently melded with the door. Max grasped his hand in pain the others could see the imprint of the key burned into it. He looked at Ethan.
"Can you grab the bandage out of my backpack.." He said wincing in pain.

After Sou and Ethan had taken down Veronica's Gengar, Max confronted her, and she threw a huge tantrum. The Clefable helping Max then pointed at Veronica and its fingers began to glow as they wiggled their fingers around in a Metronome attack. Veronica then collapsed to the ground, fast asleep. Max went over to the door where the key was and grabbed it.

Immediately, a blinding blue light filled the room, and Zenith quickly shut her eyes. She heard Max yell out in pain, and once the light died down, she opened her eyes. She saw that the door was beginning to crumble, and Max fell to his knees, a look of pain on his face. A wave of energy then burst from the door, making a large opening. She ran over to Max with Ethan and Sou, seeing that his hand was frozen to the key.

"That's not good..." Zenith said, a worried look on her face.

Max called out his Charmeleon, Lila, and had her try to melt the ice off of his hand. Sou then suggested to Ethan to call out his own Charmeleon to do the same.

Zenith frowned. She felt useless right now with not having a fire-type to help out as well.

After a few minutes, the two Charmeleon managed to free Max's hand, who held it in pain.

Max then turned to Ethan. "Can you grab the bandage out of my backpack...?" He said wincing in pain.

Zenith looked at Max's hand, and saw that the key's imprint had been burned into it. She then glanced over to where the key was, and saw that it had become melded to the slot. Her heart fell at this; there was no way they could return the key now.

"I guess we can't return the key after all..." Zenith said, sighing.
