Sou swallowed a bit hard as Max paused, presumably to answer her question. When he spoke, she realized that in essence, she was possibly blaming him for the attack. She hadn’t really thought completely on what she was implying with her question, but it came out that way nonetheless. She couldn’t tell if he took the question to heart as he responded jokingly about Ho-oh coming to the rescue and melting it to ice cubes. It seemed he himself wasn’t sure, at least that’s how it sounded by the way he spoke. There was a pause after his answer before he spoke up again, this time about not limiting herself. This made her frown a bit, not completely sure what he really meant behind those words. ”Limiting myself…?” she thought and then looked over at Zenith before looking down at the ground a bit. She was a bit deep in thought as Max went over to speak with Altea, thinking to herself a bit. Altea seemed to be happy to lead, smiling a bit. She could think about everything else later and was about to follow the group when Max’s egg gave a false alarm. She blinked, smiling a bit at a thought of a baby pokemon and then followed the group into forest. All they could hear was the natural sounds of the forest which was slightly familiar to her. The area near her home was a bit wooded after all, so it reminded her of her outings as her mind drifted back to Max’s statement.

A cool breeze swept through the tall grass. As the walked Max took the lead.
" Altea..you can put the map away..you wont be able to find it from here..." He smiled looking up. In the tree above them there was a small symbol carved into the trees. Max stopped walking and made his way over to climb up the tree. Max was a natural climber. Ledian flew up to the branch to explore the symbol. Max got as close as he could before leaping at the branch the symbol was on. He pulled himself up. Looking down at the others.

"We are close.." He paused.

"Any of you good at climbing ?"

Sou smiled softly as she felt the cool breeze against her face, wondering just how deep into this forest the place was. Though it made sense since it was a ‘secret’ place after all. She was going through her thoughts as she walked, snapping out of it when Max said that they wouldn’t be able to find it from there. She tilted her head and then watched as he climbed swiftly and expertly up the tree, as though it was natural to him. Sou started to wonder if there was anything Max couldn’t do, watching him get up to a certain point then jumped. She whistled a bit. Sou could appreciate a good jump when he paused, saying they were close. At the climbing question she raised her hand a bit. ”I’ve climbed a couple of trees…well more then a couple anyway” she said chuckling a bit. This was something she believed she could do at the very least.

Sloane immediately took Max's taunting as a challenge. "I'll show you who's scared!" She shot back. She took a few steps back then ran at a nearby tree. Leaping into the air, she kicked the tree with her right leg and somersaulted into a nearby tree, landing in the crane position. Balancing on her right leg, Sloane crossed her arms. "Try to one up that boy!"

Zenith walked along with the others, and Max eventually had them stop. Apparently they were close to the village. Max climbed up into a tree , goading them into climbing.

Zenith grinned. "Yeah, I'm pretty good at climbing," she said. She then went up to a nearby tree and began to climb it. She climbed up to about the same height as Max. "So how far is it to the village, Max?"

Sou raised an eyebrow watching as he was hanging off the tree a bit, asking if she was scared. ”No way!” she said chuckling a bit before she walked over to one of the trees and then scaled it pretty easily herself. She settled herself down on the branch on a tree to the right of Zenith. She then looked down to Altea who seemed to have yet gotten up there frowning. ”You okay down there Altea?” she asked.

Altea dawdled around the base of the trees and watched in amazement as everyone seemed to climb up with ease. As they disappeared into the canopy one by one, she bit her lip and looked up, unsure where to start. As a girl raised near the ocean, kids her age typically spent their time one of two ways; either on or in the water. She could swim with the best of them, but the closest thing she got to hanging off a tree was probably playing on the tire swing in her backyard.

"Okay Altea, you can do this," she said in the most encouraging tone she could imagine, trying to motivate herself. She wasn't going to give up without a try!

Altea gathered her strength and jumped, somehow managing to grab on to the lowest branch. She latched her feet to the sides of the trunk and half expected to be able to swing up like the rest of the group. But turns out tree climbing was way harder than everyone made it look. It was all she could manage to hang on to the branch before her arms gave out. She dropped to the ground waiting only a few inches below.

"Haha Sou you're amazing," Altea answered, scratching her head. "This is harder than it looks!"

She thought about having Pidgeotto try to fly her up, but Copper wasn't exactly used to carrying people. Altea made a mental note to train him in that department. Although she felt slightly embarrassed to ask, Altea probably did need Ledian's help.

"If you wouldn't mind, Ledian..." Altea called out and waved to the Pokemon from below.

Ledian spun around picking up Altea. Once eveyrone was up in the tree. Max pointed west and the group could see the top of buildings and smoke coming out of a chimney.

"Hidden Villages...are hidden in plain sight. Wanna have your mind blow?" He smiled climbing back down with Ledian carrying Altea down safely. Once the others were down he point that way again. There was nothing in sight.
"Brownie points to whomever can tell me whats going on here." He laughed.

Sloane gazed down at the ground. She frowned a little. She hadn't thought about getting down. She started to climb down from the branch when she slipped and fell. Landing on her back, Sloane groaned loudly. She rubbed her head as she sat up. Making sure she wasn't hurt, Sloane stood up. Sloane peered ahead and squinted. "The village… it's either hidden in a psychic barrier so we can't see it, hidden up in the canopy of the trees, or it's inside the trees, like actually inside them."
