Sou thanked the people, trainers and Greta as she held her new partner before it disappeared to be transferred into the PC. ”Thanks again!” she called and headed back to the pokemon center to take out her new partner.

After she had exchanged some of the pokemon on her with some from the PC and healed her pokemon of course, she made her way out of the pokemon center to catch up with everyone else. She thanked Greta again along with everyone else and with that, it seemed as though they were finally heading towards the next town. The next gym awaited them and she was excited to be challenging another gym. As she walked, she heard Max mention something about them never seeing that place again. She frowned a bit but didnt say anything as they made their way back to Route 4.

Altea brought her hands up to shield her eyes from the midday sun, which shone intensely down on them as they reached the edge of the village. She took one last gaze at the village and the trainers who were waving them farewell, determined to cement the scene in her memory. "Good bye," she whispered with a bittersweet tone, then turned to catch up to the others. Now they were finally headed to Cerulean; Altea's excitement welled up again as she thought about the upcoming gym battle.

Now that they were back on their way the nervous feeling kicked back in. Max could feel those beautflies in his gut. The path to Cerulean was luckily going to take awhile. So he had some time to think about what to say. Lila looked up at her trainer with confusion as he mumbled about what to say to the gym leader.
To get his mind off it he looked at the others. Focusing on Zenith his second in command or as so he had looked at her.
"We should send scouts ahead to check for pokemon and trainers..do you think Freefall can lead the group?" He smiled

After everyone had collected their new pokemon, Zenith headed to the pokemon Center with them and had her pokemon healed. She then went to the PC and did some switching.

Zenith clipped Shinx's Poke Ball to her belt and followed the others out of the center. After saying goodbye to everyone, they headed off from the Hidden Village.

After walking a while, Max turned to Zenith and asked her about sending out Freefall ahead to scout the area for trainers and pokemon. Zenith nodded. "Sure, no problem, Max," she said. She unclipped his Poke Ball from her belt and threw it.

Freefall appeared in the air and squaked, flying around Zenith.

"Freefall, could you scout out ahead and look for any trainers or pokemon?" Zenith asked.

"Pidgeo!" Freefall said, taking off high into the air and flying off ahead.

Sloane heard Max give permission to let out their flyers. "Well I know Clarent is eager for a chance to spread his wings some more. So here we go." She unclipped his pokeball from her belt and tossed it into the air. "Come on out Clarent!" The Fearow shot into the air with a graceful move and began to soar high above them, watching them like the eye of God.

Just as she was about to give up on seeing the sandshrews again, she spotted the wild group. And there, leading them, was the shiny sandshrew. Sloane bent down to it and smiled a little. "Well hey there little buddy. How's about you come with me?" She whistled and Clarent dove down from the skies to help with the capture.

The sandshrew had appeared once again. This time they had seemed to want to battle. After a quick capture with Chunk Max was ready to go. He paused calling out.

Sou was thinking to herself a bit as they walked, mostly about the battles and the practice matches they had not that long ago. It was still fresh in her mind and a small smile on her face, stretched her arms out as they felt a little cramped at the moment for some reason. Max had mentioned sending scouts ahead before suggesting Zenith’s Freefall take up the reins and lead the group. She hadn’t heard about sending a scout ahead before, but then again, not long before this she had been traveling alone. Zenith appeared to agree and sent out her Freefall t go ahead of them and scan the area for pokemon or trainer’s, of course Max ended up doing the same with his zubat. Even though he mentioned that everyone could let their flyers out too, two of them seemed to be more then enough. There was that reason and the other being that Arrow would probably do less scouting and more picking a fight first. She sighed at the thought but quickly found that thought gone as the Sandshrew from earlier appeared before them, wanting to fight this time. Sou found herself smiling widely again as she reached for Ria’s poke ball on her belt and tossed it out in front of her. ”Ria!” she called as her wartortle appeared in front of her.

With some quick battling, Sou found herself with a sandshrew as a new partner on her journey. She walked over to pick up its ball, looking at it. ”I’ll see you later buddy. Wait for me alright?” she said with a smile before the ball disappeared and was transferred to her PC back in the pokemon center. She turned to see Sloane appeared to be catching a different colored sandshrew then the one she caught, which reminded her of how her Igglybuff was a different color and Zenith’s Cleffa was too. She wondered what that meant and almost recalled something Max called them before in Mt. Moon, but shook her head as it wasn’t all that important. She looked around and saw Sloane’s Fearow flying off to scout ahead as well, which meant they had three flyer’s ahead of them looking. ”Hmmmm…” she hummed a bit as she looked around at the others.

Seeing Max, Zenith, and Sloane all send out flying types to scout ahead, Altea thought it might be good for her Pokemon to get acquainted outside of battle.

"Come on out, Copper! You too, Cobalt! And you come out too, Lemon!" Altea said as she released her Pidgeotto, Golbat, and Beedrill to join the flying types. "Don't go too far, okay? Stay with the others!"

Just as Pidgeotto and Beedrill were flying off, Golbat flew up and hung upside-down on a large branch above them and closed its eyes, as if it were sleeping. When Altea walked a little further, it flew to a closer branch, keeping an eye on the group. Suddenly, a familiar group of Sandshrew appeared again in the long grass. They remained in the road, watching the group curiously. As her companions each battled one, Altea hesitated, wondering if it was alright to try to capture them.

As Max warned them to hurry, Altea pushed her thought aside and called out to her Golbat, "Cobalt, feel like showing this Sandshrew what you're made of?"

The Pokemon opened its left eye at his trainer's voice, and swooped down from the branches next to her. Altea smiled and gave a command, "Okay, start with a wing attack!"

Altea threw in a Pokeball as Cobalt weaked the Sandshrew. With two shakes, Sandshrew was caught.

Zenith smiled as she saw the group of Sandshrew appear. She took out Calder's Poke Ball and called him out. "Alright, Calder, let's catch another teammate!" she said.

"Azu, rill!" Calder said.

After the quick battle, Zenith threw an empty Poke Ball at the Sandshrew, capturing it after the three shakes. The Poke Ball then vanished as it was sent to the PC storage system.

Zenith then began to think about the battles she had with Sou and Greta's students. They had been really intense, and her pokemon had gotten incredibly strong because of it. She was proud of her pokemon for coming as far as they had in such a short time. She knew that there would be a lot tougher battles in the future, however, and it wouldn't do any good to get overconfident.
