Zenith smiled as Markus finished off the other two pokemon. "Great job, Markus! Your Spearow is really strong."

Max then walked over to her and Markus. "Zenith, good stuff..Markus..that spearow is pretty tough." Max paused. "Think you guys are ready for the gym battle ??" He smiled.

Zenith smiled at Max's compliment. "Thanks, Max. As for the gym battle, I'm not sure we're quite there yet. I think I'm gonna heal up my pokemon and train some more."

Just then, a group of Rattata came out of some near-by bushes. Zenith had opted not to catch one the last time the group had come across them, but this time Zenith decided that now would be a good time to catch one. She took Qeb's Poke Ball off her belt and tossed it. "Okay, Qeb, use Vine Whip on that Rattata!" she said, pointing to the closest Rattata.

"Saur!" Qeb said, launching two vines at the Rattata and hitting it repeatedly.

"Ratta!" the Rattata squeaked in pain. It rose to its feet and charged at Qeb, biting him.

The battle went on for a few minutes, and Zenith threw a Poke Ball at the purple rat, which vanished in a red light into the sphere. The ball shook one... two... three times.... PING! The Rattata had been caught!

Zenith smiled and walked over to the Poke Ball and picked it up, clipping it to her belt. "Hm, I noticed the whiskers on its face were smaller, so that means its a girl. I think I'll name her... Tanya! It seems like a good name," She then turned to Max. "I'm gonna go heal up my pokemon, and then do some training. I'll meet you all at the gym for our battles later."

Zenith headed down the path back toward Pewter City and went into the Pokemon Center. She went up to the counter and handed Qeb, Freefall and Tanya over to the nurse. She sat down at one of the tables and took out her journal, beginning to write. She finished writing just as she was called to pick up her pokemon, and closed her journal. She went up to the counter and took her pokemons' Poke Balls, thanking the nurse as she clipped them to her belt. She headed out of the Pokemon Center and back into Viridian Forest. She soon reached a secluded area and called out her pokemon.

"Everyone, we're gonna be going up against the Pewter City Gym Leader Brock soon. I want us to train so we can be ready. He uses rock- and ground-types, so this won't be easy, despite two of you having type advantages. Those pokemon types have naturally strong defenses, regardless. Kamau, you'd be an advantage, but the rules of the gym states I can only use pokemon from Kanto, so that means you're out. I'm really sorry, buddy."

"Rio..." Kamau said, a disappointed look on his face.

Zenith then turned to Qeb. "Qeb, that means you'll be the only one I can use who will have an advantage type-wise. So I'll be relying on you, okay, buddy?"

"Bulbasaur!" Qeb said, nodding.

Zenith looked to the rest of her pokemon. "Freefall, Aponi and Tanya, I'll be relying you guys as well. Are you all ready?"

All of Zenith's pokemon nodded and cheered.

"Alright then, let's get started!" Zenith said.

With that, Zenith and her pokemon began to train.

Once the pokeball stopped rolling it locked up. Max had reach the six pokemon limit. After that Ethan, Markus and Vii headed back for the Pokemon Center. Once the pokemon where healed Max made his way back out to look for Moon. He had hoped the trainers could finally get back on track. He found her battling another trainer.
"Good luck !" He called out.

Zenith and her pokemon were hard at work training. She was especially focusing on Qeb, since he was going to be her only trump card. She was having Qeb battle the other pokemon so he could get stronger for the gym battle.

"Alright, Qeb use Sleep Powder on Kamau!" Zenith instructed.

"Saur!" Qeb said, firing a cloud of blue powder at Kamau.

Kamau barely managed to dodge the powder, then charged at Qeb and hit him with a Force Palm.

Qeb staggered back and then quickly launched two vines from him bulb, striking Kamau with them.

Zenith smiled at Qeb's quick thinking using a Vine Whip. "Nice job, Qeb!"

"Saur!" Qeb said, smiling. Suddenly, he blinked as his body began to glow.

Zenith's eyes widened. "No way.... Qeb, you're evolving!" she said happily.

The glow intensified until Zenith had to shield her eyes from the light. The glow soon vanished, and she stared in awe at the sight before her.....

Qeb looked pretty much the same, except he was larger, and the bulb on his back had turned into a closed flower. There were also four large leaves sprouting from the flower.

"Ivysaur!" Qeb said happily, smiling p at Zenith.

Zenith smiled widely at Qeb, getting down on her knees and hugging him tight. "You did it, Qeb! You evolved!"

Kamau, Freefall, Calder, Aponi and Tanya all cheered as well, happy for their friend.

Zenith and her pokemon continued to train. Eventually she began to focus on Freefall, having him battle the other pokemon.

"Freefall, use Peck on Calder!" Zenith ordered.

Freefall quickly tucked his wings to his sides and dive-bombed at the Azurill, hitting him with a Peck attack.

Calder staggered back several steps, but quickly got back up, firing a Bubble attack at Freefall.

Freefall managaed to dodge the attack, and his body began to glow, just like Qeb's had done.

Zenith blinked, completely taken aback. "No way.... Freefall's evolving too?!" she said.

Freefall's body was completely engulfed in a blinding white light, and his form began to change....

Zenith was ecstatic. She hadn't expected to have two of her pokemon evolve so close together. "You did it, Freefall!" she cheered.

"Pidgeotto!" Freefall crowed happily, landing on the ground.

Zenith smiled and petted Freefall on his head. "This is so amazing! I can't wait to write about this in my journal, and tell my parents! Dad'll be stoked when he sees all of you guys!"

All of the other pokemon congratulated Freefall for evolving as well, and soon they all went back to training.

After training, Zenith had her pokemon rest. "Great job, everyone! We managed to get a lot of training in! I think we might be able win the gym battle with Brock."

Qeb, Freefall, Calder, Aponi, Kamau and Tanya all cheered, jumping the air excitedly.

Zenith sat down on the ground, leaning against the trunk of a large tree as she pulled out her journal. She then began to write quickly. After she was done writing, she put her journal away and stood up. "Okay, guys, let's find the others," she said. She returned everyone to their poke balls and started walking through Viridian Forest. She soon arrived back at Viridian City, and headed toward the Pokemon Center. She saw Max and Moon outside the Center. Moon was about to begin a battle with a female hiker. "Good luck, Moon!" she said.

Headlights flitter through the treelines as a car drives carefully through a storm. As the windshield wipers pass over, the lights of another car seem to be heading right towards. The man in the car tries reacting as quickly as possible, however the rain on the road causes him to slide, smashing in driver's side first with the other one. A girl can be seen on the road crying, watching someone close to her fly with his vehicle, the temporary glide lasting seconds before it came crashing into the fields, grass being torn and tattered as it slowly rolled to a stop.

Another man left the other car, sprinting towards what he had just done. As he got to the door, it was obvious to tell the other driver was dead. He slowly wept, as the girl came and sat next to him, following the exact same standard. However, he could not seem to notice her however. As the little child wept for her dead brother, a dark Pokemon came around, covering the car in a dark void. She looked up, seeing a black humanlike figure with what seemed to be smoke on his head. As she did so, the creature started laughing like a madman, before charging up a Dark Pulse. He shot it at the girl, arms enclosing her head in reaction. It was definitely going to be contact.

Virtue woke up screaming, a nurse hurrying in after hearing the terrified reaction. Vi sat on her bed heavily breathing, holding her head as the nightmare still sat on her mind completely. She had just witnessed her brother's death, but she has no clue how that would have been possible. After a brief explanation to the worried nurse, she climbed in her wheelchair. As she was about to pull out, the nurse grabbed her by the shoulder and showed her a clipboard. "Hi darling, we just wanted to inform you that thankfully your leg injury was a lot better than we initially expected. You should be able to walk perfectly fine with no support in a few days. Also, I was supposed to inform you that you need to contact your parents sometime today, as they seemed extremely worried."

News that brought a smile to Vi's face was rare, but it was quickly washed away when she heard about her parents wanting to talk to her. She should have figured, so she just passed off the sentence with a wave of her hand for not caring. She rolled herself out of the building, bright sunlight hitting her eyes. "Must be around noon. Damn, I slept long." She said go herself, before continuing to Viridian Forest. She figured she'd need to pair back up with everyone else, wherever they were. After some exploring, she spotted almost all of them in a nearby field.

Traveling over there, she stopped fairly close to where they trained, thinking to herself. "Hm, if it's anything like most regions I've studied on, the first gym should be ground or normal. Since it's my best chance, I should probably train Cobalt and Chestnut." She rubbed her pokeballs, the thoughts distracting her from actual training. That, and the dream she had to witness.

@Lightning Dash we need to get you some points from battling. Aron cant be used in the gym so I have a couple suggestions. 1. Catch a Rattata and evolve it. 2. Level up Azurill 10 levels and have it battle at least one of the trainers before the gym.

By 10:30 Max decided he should head back to rest up his pokemon one last time before the gym badge. He found Zenith and Craig near by. Craig was a little secretive in Max's opinion. He seemed to be analyzing everything around him all the time. He wasnt very out right about that. He did seem a little troubled but with good intentions. Zenith was a lot different. Friendly and fiercely protective.

Max waved the two over.
" Im going to head back to heal up for the gym. The others seem to be pretty busy here. Zenith, you and Craig are more than welcome to join me. Your pokemon seem ready." Max smiled.

"Im pretty nervous, I havent battled at a gym in awhile." Max joked.
